Pewdiepie fucked up, was careless, thoughtless, inconsiderate, failed to think beyond himself, and his actions unintentionally aided the Nazis he attempted to leverage for comedic purposes. Consequently he suffered negative consequences.
As far as one can tell based on what's publicly known, Pewdiepie is not actually antisemitic, racist or whatever. But since he has been actually bolstering those views, I can't have too much sympathy for him over people interpreting it that way. Still, I hope people take a step back and try to engage his fuckup in a more constructive manner, and that Pewdiepie understands why people would be harsh about this shit, takes this opportunity to reflect and improve himself.

And there's something to be learned from that as well. I don't fault him at all for what he did and I think Disney and all these other companies who have severed ties with him are overreacting
Just because the nazis claim it helped them, doesn't mean it actually helped them. If it did help them, it helped them because they got media exposure, media that misreported the situation for clicks and controversy.
