Nobody seems to be giving a full impression of the game based on the sum of its parts. Seems like people are splitting hairs one way or another and not addressing the game as a whole. Given the fact that this is a Bioware game, there are people that want an improvement on the past games that focused more on story while the general gameplay was interesting and serviceable but always in an odd semi turn based semi tactics action rpg. Other people have been wanting more fluid and faster gameplay, can take or leave the story as long as the gameplay is fun.

For those that have actually purchased and have been playing the game. Give your impression of it. Is it good? Is it bad for DA:O fans but would've been decent as its own IP... "Forget everything you know".
Would you recommend it for people that are looking for something in the action rpg genre but not expecting BG3 levels of writing? Would you say that its more or less a more competent version of Andromeda in terms of gameplay? Less competent in terms of writing? both? vice-versa?

Environmental Artists did a good job, game looks beautiful.

Programmers did a good job, game runs great while looking beautiful.

Game designers did a decent yet somewhat mediocre job, combat and quest design is mediocre.

Writers did terrible job, dialogue writing is bland and as if for kids, yet filled with far leftist nonsense that would be out of place in any game, let alone fantasy RPG. It also fails as a sequel to previous games.

Whether the game is good depends on what you value more, and what you value less.
