[VGC]Fallout New Vegas 2 is reportedly in ‘very early talks at Microsoft’

Considering Obsidian's slate right now. If this is even real, this isn't happening any time before 2027~28 at the earliest.

"Someone at microsoft HQ might have said something about making a new vegas 2, no actual plans or development has begun and if it does it might not come out until xbox series next."

This is almost as juicy as the kojima shakes hands with Phil Spencer story.

Lot of negativity in this thread. When it was announced that Microsoft had purchased Bethesda I had secretly hoped to hear even a whisper of a whisper of the possibility of a sequel. Lots of people hijacking this thread to discuss politics as well which is just pathetic. I adore Chris Avellone's writing, but if the team at Obsidian can capture the spirit of New Vegas and give a chance to a different group of writers and developers, then I say what's the harm? Yes, Outer Worlds felt hollow. But I always felt that was the setting feeling less developed and engaging than something like the Mojave Desert. That being said, I know this Jeff Grub loves nothing more than the sound of his own tweets and blowing hot gas out of his ass so I take this for what it is. Still, everyone needs to chill. This could be cool maybe. Let it maybe be cool.

Found a remote studio, call it 'Vault Tec', hire heavily from the Bethesda modding community among others, make Fallout games under the shepherding of Todd Howard.

Get it done MS, there's literally a whole-ass game out there in Fallout London that you could have owned.

move some people over from obsidian and BGS also.

at this point they should have a separate studio for Fallout, ES, and Starfield. Going 10-15 years inbetween installments of your biggest game is just a bad idea, and Todd Howard isn't gonna be able to direct/oversee every project, give Fallout back to the original directors
