VGCats #300. We've hit a legendary milestone in humor.

Pallet cleanser?

Well that's kind of stupid...

It's fucking obnoxious is what it is. There are close to 50 of those quests, and each of them is a tedious fetch quest.

1. Listen to a stranger's phone conversation
2. Journal updates with side quest indicating that stranger requires an artifact
3. 90% of the time the journal entry doesn't tell you in which cluster/system you can find this artifact, so you'll end up "stumbling" into it as you scan planets
4. When you find the artifact, the journal entry attached to this side quest does not update itself. As a matter of fact, you could have 15 similar journal entries in your journal at the same time and because of this have no idea which stranger's artifact you just found.

5. Return to the Citadel, and click the right stick to bring up the map. Look for names like "war strategist" or "angry accountant" on the map. If such names appear on the map, that means you stumbled into one of their artifacts awhile back. What did they want? Fuck if you'll know. Whatever it is they want, you have it. So just walk up to them, and say "Hey, I heard you needed this particular artifact, come to Bay D24 to pick it up!"

6. The stranger thanks you and then almost IMMEDIATELY starts a telephone conversation in which he implies that the artifact that you just gave him is already working its magic in some manufacturing facility lights years away.

You guys should do this to games, more unfun parts in them than unfunny panels in webcomics. We could probably boil MGS4 down to about an hour's worth of entertainment.

This thread made me remember that video game webcomics were a thing, and that in turn made me remember that CAD was a thing. So I decided to check it out, since it'd been a year or two since the last time I saw it.

You know, there is a way to be funny while still making your point. This is not one of them.

Neither is the VGCats.

I'm not a fan of VG Cats but is it really that big of a deal that it has so many panels? Anyway, it does point out something I hate about ME3. It's pretty lazy in terms of design.

Web comics, the equivalent of the family member who thinks they're really talented at something, but nobody has the guts to tell them they're shit.

Some of you people need to expand your horizons. Yeah, VG Cats and (especially) CAD are crap, uh huh, that's nice, but you can only think of one good webcomic? Really?

There are good ones- reMIND, Lackadaisy, The Abominable Charles Christoper, Gunnerkrigg Court ( stick with it; it takes a few chapters before it hits its stride) The Meek (although that one looks like it's on indefinite hiatus due to author illness), Phoenix Requiem, Hark! A Vagrant, Dr. Mcninja for its sheer batshit wackiness...

Gunshow is always good for some laughs.

edit: oh god, people mentioning Oglaf. I fuckin love that one.

How about merging the last two comics and having the furry go to Bioware demanding a better ending, then Shepard is eavesdropping...
