You guys wanna get some shawarma?Typical terrible geek culture thing. Endless references, bare of any context.
That bitch won't let Walter have fun!
The only thing worse than Rick and Morty fans are South Park fans.
Now thats the scum of the earth right there
You guys wanna get some shawarma?
You guys wanna get some shawarma?
every shawarma has a lighthouse
every shawarma has a white guy with a gun
Same, I see pickle rick everywhere
Hella yeah they are
I don't even like LiS that much
That meme at least had the benefit of popularizing shawarma, which is great.
Fandoms suck end of story.
My boring white suburban self took a risk on trying it about 15 years ago, choosing it over my usual 2am Friday night out pizza slice, and it was one of the greatest things I'd ever tasted.
Rick and Morty also has had a Too Short song so that confirms its the smartest show on television.Really if this thread has taught me anything it's that indie rock is the biggest red-flag for pretension and faux-depth in a work.
*fleetwood mac plays in the distance*Rick: Morty BUUUUUURP listen to me gods not BUUUUUURP real life is pointless
Vocal fans: wow holy shit that's deep
I will never not cringe at this. Disgusting.
As a Sonic fan (with those four words I have opened myself to the gates of hell and mockery) let me tell you the anti-Sonic counterculture is way more obnoxious. I'm able to categorize the furry stuff away just fine and enjoy the games, but like every thread hereYou forgot Sonic and Undertale
Yeah.
My problem, are the people who say "It's so smart, because it's so dark and cynical".
No, the show is a lot more than just dark. It's a great show with a lot of awesome sci-fi themes that don't get explored a lot on tv.
But I'm just happy that more people enjoy it.
Kind of sad though that Arrested Development didn't get the same sizable fanbase.

"Hey Sonic Mania is a really cool game"
"LOL DEVIANTART MIRITE"
So funny the first time I heard it I fell off my dinosaur.
Sonic fans are my shitposting idols. I look at them as internet gods.

Sonic Colors is great
The feud Sega had with Jim Sterling over it was even better
The "I hate R&M because of fans" circle jerk has actually reached the point where it's more common for me to encounter that opinion than encounter obnoxious fans.
Arrested Development did like 4x ratings of rick and morty and has a huge cult following
It's a smart show but you'd have to be a moron to think "getting it" makes you better than anybody else.
I really hate this aspect of fandom. Also, the misogyny. Rick's a great character but he's not a role model. Anyone who acts like him in real life (like the backwards hat dude in the article) deserves to get his ass beat.
Hot take:
Pickle Rick is not that funny.
Sonic fans are Milennials
Rick and Morty fans are iGenners
