You do realize that Viewtiful Joe 1 was an extremely novel concept within the media at the time and everyone was heaping mounds of praise on it for both it's unique look and as a throwback to the old classic design. Not to mention that the game was hyped from it's public inception of the Capcom 5 so there was already a large amount of interest going for it. This sequel did not get that much praise or interest from public outlets and the GameCube library has a more major games to steal the thunder from Viewtiful Joe 2. There is no crazy Nintendo manifesto going on, it's just a simple analysis of public interest.drohne said:capbomb. this rather confirms my suspicion that gamecube fans liked the first more out of patriotic obligation than genuine enthusiasm for 2d action games. at this rate i might as well wait for it to hit $20.
.... patriotic obligation to what exactly?drohne said:capbomb. this rather confirms my suspicion that gamecube fans liked the first more out of patriotic obligation than genuine enthusiasm for 2d action games. at this rate i might as well wait for it to hit $20.
Ah yeah, we're all brainwashed, heh, sorry. My insane fanboyism must have clouded my judgment.drohne said:guess.

I love how you quickly turn to infantile name calling when you don't have an adequate answer. I wasn't even arguing with you, I was providing an opinion of mine which may or may not have been correct. I felt that was the possible answer but if you had any decent evidence or opinions proving otherwise I'd be more than willing to accept and learn from it. I was actually looking foward to any hard evidence being provided since I was merely giving opinions and personal insight on the matter.drohne said:nintendo fans display such instinctive herd behavior as to preempt any need for a conspiracy. karl rove must envy nintendo.

there's really not much for VJ2 to contend with cause the big game on the GC this year is just MP2, last year VJ had much tougher competition in Mario Kart DD
Yes. I loved the first game, but this has been the most overcrowded season ever. A too-soon sequel with minimum upgrades goes on the "Wait 'Til It's $20 Next March" list.explodet said:Too many damn games in November.
