Virtua Fighter 4: EVO

I don't understand why a fighting game can't be online but the twichiest of twitchy games: fps's are played just fine. What the hell?

You don't need to count frames to get your moves entered correctly in an FPS.

My biggest fear is Sarah + Flamingo stance. Ugh, ugh ugh.

Suprisingly, though, most of my losses in Quest mode come from Vanessa. Dunno what it is about her, she just thrashes me.

hahaha, yeah that stance destroys me :(

I guess you don't play VF4 much since it has a reward/quest mode that apes the modes of the other two games mentioned.

I worded my post poorly - all three are only bearable in single player because of the trinket gathering. Tekken and Soul Calibur are way too easy to even mention the regular single player mode. DOA has its flaws but too easy isn't one of them. Thanks to cheap/stupid final boss.

The later arcades in Quest Mode can be a bitch, but it's not because I find the people I vs. cheap..it's that they are so damn good for A.I in a fighting game. I think it has to do with them be based on real Japanese VF player data. The way they play is kind of like how the real life counterpart would, but of course being A.I it's far from perfect, and from time to time the lack of human like quick "thinking" is their undoing.

I feel sorry for the people that have only had the chance to play Evo on their PS2. The arcade game has some of the most wonderful lighting, which still wow's me to this day. I'm thankful that they were ported to the PS2, but there is nothing like playing the VF4 games in the arcades.

I need to start saving up to buy VF4:Final Tuned for my cab, its come down in price a lot. Coinopexpress.com has it listed for $911.95 USD. I'm sure it will fall even more once VF5 hits. :)
