I just want to know if it's possible to emulate SNES and GBA on a Vita with this.
Can someone point me to the directions to install CFW on 3.18? I have XS Moto and Gladiator Begins on my Vita.
Download the exploit save files from here -
http://zload.net/v2/archives/vita/
Instructions for installation and triggering are already included in the savefiles. Make sure you're using OpenCMA or QCMA to transfer the files to the Vita.
Is one recommended over the other?
I personally prefer qcma because for some reason my strike rate with successfully installing opencma is poor. Also, with qcma you'll be able to install vita apps or demos without requiring different account (real games are exempted).
I just installed it and I keep getting "No Vita Registered".
does anyone know if there still is a way to transfer stuff to a 3.18 vita?
I'm still waiting for third party memory cards. I have one for my psp and I'd really like a cheaper alternative for vita.

Yup, that works fine. The process would be: Turn wifi off and reset the system. Connect to PC via OpenCMA or QCMA. Unplug USB from PC. Plug USB into PS3. Move games from PS3 to Vita. What if I need to get it fromb the psn? Can I still do it through the ps3?
The hackers are making some interesting progress on the Vita. They've figured out a way now to install homebrew and PSP games as custom bubbles on the Vita's home screen, so they can be played without other exploits.
Can someone please help me? I am so confused.
I am on 3.18. I already installed the exploit on my Vita using Talkman Tokyo and loaded up Ys Seven through the official CMA.
Now I finished Ys Seven and want to load up Fireteam Bravo 3.
I installed QCMA now for some reason (that seemed to be what the thread was telling me to do) but now cannot figure out where to put the Fireteam Bravo 3 iso in order for me to transfer it to my Vita. I can't get it to show up on the Vita Content Manager app.
Under my PS Vita folder I have the following:
APP
PGAME
PSAVEDATA
PSGAME
PSM
SYSTEM
Wow I'm totally not following you with your directory directions... something is off on my end. I don't have that many levels...
OK, I think I'm following you know. You think it was PGAME as the first directory?
Ah yes it was all that ISO folder!
But WHY was the ISO folder not there when I tried to go through the process again this time? I certainly didn't delete it myself.
Anyway on the Vita CMA it is telling me the file is corrupt, which is weird... maybe I did a bad rip or something.
Edit: I shouldn't have to run the exploit again should I? I get error code C2-10981-9 when I try to do the transfer. I wonder what I am missing now.
I'm doing this over USB. Also why exactly do I need QCMA if I already have official CMA? Should I just use official CMA?
Holy crap I finally figured it out. Or at least 1 way to do it.
FTP proved too daunting so I went back to QCMA.
Basically I had to redownload the Talkman Travel Tokyo save folder/files and put the PSP game in there.... I had totally forgotten about that step. Then I had to overwrite the old Talkman Travel Tokyo as I moved things over via the VITA CMA...
What a nightmare. I wrote down some directions this time and emailed them to myself...
Are we going to be getting easy drag-and-drop firmware on VITA like we had/have on PSP? That would be a lot nicer. This CMA crap is for the birds and I don't want to mess around with FTP.
Awesome work. Two questions:The trick to creating custom bubbles has now been outlined in the following video -
How to create a fake signed EBOOT - youtu.be/ZQoYLkjuXhE?a
Creating the custom bubble -
1) Copy the fake signed EBOOT.PBP file onto your PS Vita.
2) Verify that the file is copied to your Vita!
3) Rename the PSN games folder into "original name + &" (e.g. UCES00152 into UCES00152&)
4) Add a "original PSN game folder name" folder (e.g. UCES00152)
5) Copy the fake signed EBOOT.PBP file into the new folder
6) Shutdown the PS Vita.
7) Boot into the recovery mode (Keep "PS-button + R + Power button" pressed for a few seconds)
8) Rebuild databse.
9) Wait until the Vita rebooted into the main menu.
10) Check your game, it should now run the fake signed EBOOT.PBP instead of the original PSN game.

This is only 3.18 and less right?
Edit: Nvm, it came shipped with 3.30 (┳Д┳
I'll have to wait till the next exploit...
Hey you seem to know, what exactly can I do if I have a 3.15 Vita, that has never been online and doesn't have any of the exploit games?
afaik you should download the exploited game (weren't they all patched??) by PS3 then using QCMA from PC to Vita and then connecting Vita to your PS3 and you should be able to download the game
but don't do that until someone confirms the above statement
The Vita is not registered to any psn account though, would that be a problem?
Shouldn't be. Just login with the account that you're going to use the exploit with via wifi. It'll login and authenticate while checking for a firmware update. When it prompts you to update the firmware, decline. The PSN account should be registered on the system.
That's great thanks, one last question, once I have CFW, can I update to the latest official FW to be able to use Remote Play and PS+? Or can I use those in the latest CFW?

DO NOT USE DO THESE IF YOU PLAN TO USE REMOTE PLAY OR PLAYSTATION RENTAL SERVICE.
You lose access to those if you are going to use the PSP sandbox and stay on a lower firmware. You must update to the higher firmware to use those functions, which means you either:
-Stay on a lower firmware and lose access to PSN
or:
-Stay current and lose the exploit(s) that lower firmwares have.
Your choice. Choose wisely.
