Well it depends but I would say within 2 weeks of an exploit found. First they remove the game from PSN which gives them time to roll out the patch days later.
Im gonna say the next FW 1.82 will be here soon to block the Urbanix Mini exploit. Then around a month Urbanix will return on the store. But this new FW update wont block the new exploit being released (tuesday according to Wololo) so there will be another FW update soon after to block that aswell.

I have now seen three games "leaked" as the new exploit, and two of them had screencaps from the forums (LBP PSP and Free Running PSP).
I don't know what to think. Maybe they are releasing fake game names to try to find out who is leaking info? Seems like that would just cause a lot of confusion, though.

The group might be releasing fake names to see who's been leaking stuff (Urbanix was leaked well before the group officially announced it).

Will future fw updates render all the developments useless? I don't wanna end up in a situation like with the PS3, having 2 handhelds.
Download it right now for the exploit release. If you don't, Sony will take it down even if you own it for "security reasons."

what does this let me do, and what do I give up by doing it? I.e am I likely to lose PSN access eventually and have to skip FW updates? This isn't like the PSP where I can pretty easily live without online. With trophies and better online support (eg LBP), I don't think I could live without PSN

Yeah I was wondering the same. Is it actually a custom firmware or just a soft-mod?
So i guess Sony will be pulling all PSOne, PSP, and PSMini games soon so they can check them all one by one.
Once Sony updates the firmware->No syncing until they get around the block or update the firmware to match the OFW call.

How easy is it to switch to official?
Since this is just the PSP lite CFW in the PSP emulator/sandbox in theory it should be easy to remove by simply rebooting the system, similar to the lite CFW's of the PSP.

I think it doesn't even install over the FW but I don't really know. I will only even attempt this as long as it doesn't break my PSN access. I still have UMD games laying around.
