Vita "hacked," (PSP) homebrew on the way (not piracy)

Newb question, when playing PSP ISOs, do you still have access to Vita's emulator settings? I'd love to be able to play some of my PSP games with the benefit of the second analog stick.

Good thing there aren't any major Vita releases (for me) soon. The only thing I'll be missing out on is Netflix on dat OLED.

So I will be able to play KH: BbS, Crisis Core, and VP Lenneth on my Vita?

But you'll be losing PSN access until a "PSNfucker/lover" comes out most likely.

Yes, again.

it's hella easy to do this hack too.

basically you put the hacked save in your psp saves folder on your computer and you put the .isos in the same folder, but it has to be named all caps like KHBB.ISO, then you copy the save over w/ content manager

and thats it. for homebrew it's a bit more complicated and i haven't done it yet, tbh. you basically just have to zip it in a certain directory order for them to work, so not too hard either.

when i look at my psp saves, the urbanix one is listed at 6.5GB big :D

here's the tutorial i used: its for urbanix so you have to use the new save file for the next game, not urbanix's which is listed there.

Man I hope LBP PSP was hacked.

I would LOVE to be able to click on the "Little Big Planet" and use it as my portal to entire the little big planet that is the PSP homebrew community.

That's awesome. Sounds safe. I thought it would require flashing or something.

Someone posted it in wololo's comment section of the blog as well. People are assholes. :(

I don't even have a Vita yet, but Little Big Planet I think I downloaded from the Europe PSN. I did have 2 bucks in my PSN wallet to download Mad Blocker though. Awesome!

It's going to be a long wait for Tuesday. Good thing school is here to suck all my time away.

This allows PSP homebrew right? What's some of the good stuff the scene offers?

I don't really use PSN on my Vita, so no big loss there. :D :D :D :D

You will know it once a big game comes out. And they will come so I hope you don't plan on turning your Vita into a PSP playing machine. I bought mine to play Vita games too and I will only use this as long as my PSN isn't borked. I am 100% legit on my buys and would hate to lose access to that stuff.

Well, sure, but I haven't bought a Vita game since June (MGS HD and Gravity Rush), but there's nothing at all of note coming out that I wish to buy. So...good for you, but I want to play these PSP games I own. :)

If Sony got their heads out of their asses and made some games for this thing, maybe I wouldn't want to play psp games I've already finished.

No PSP? I'm on the same boat and far more invested in PSN than you would know. Good for me as long as I don't get locked out of PSN.

Cool thanks :)

I see. But now that it's been leaked, I wouldn't put it past the scene people to get all bent out of shape and not release anything.
That's what I fear.

Their exploit genius aside, the whole lot of Vita hackers seems like a group of sullen, bipolar prepubescents. I just want Dark-Alex back, he was a legend and never held anything against the community.

Haven't read the recent pages, so I've got two questions.

1) What does this hack allow you to do right now?

2) How close is this to allowing piracy?

Another thing - turn your Wi-Fi off until after you've installed the exploit on Tuesday.

With all this lead time, you never know what Sony might do, even if you've already downloaded the game.

I don't think they'd ever be able to do that tho? Would be a huge shitstorm

What does this mean? Sony cant do shit to your PS Vita. Once its in your system, the game cant be removed or a new FW magically installed.

BTW im sad that the new exploited game is being leaked so carelessly around here and other forums. This is what happens when too many people participate in these things and ruin it for others. I was thinking of posting it here via the email trick so that lurkers cant see. Oh well.

;)

I'm sure they won't stealth update the vita btw, as Nemo said...serious shitstorm...serious.. True definitely best to be safe then sorry but I really doubt there's anything to worry about here atm.
