Why are people quoting it? Is it really forbidden to post the name of the game here?
Exploit gets found out and is patched immediately?

It's not like Sony don't know which was the game since a few minutes after it was released.
It worked with me for PSP!
I'm going to pass, my go is a great retromachine at this moment and this won't give me faster snes emulators that is the only thing that could make me do it. The Vita is getting heavy use at this moment to start messing with it.
Thanks anyway Orlov.
I seriously would want to find out how to rip my UMDs to my PSV considering some titles are not on the JPSN store, even though they have physical copies out. Want to consolidate my library from the PSP onto the PSV.
Or more to be fair to the devs / publishers that release stuff digitally, the games that they do not have out digitally. As already have done a ton of re-purchases digitally of the games they did release on the store.
Does this new exploit work on 3.01.
I'm still on 3.0 so I'm just asking.
Once installed can i update to 3.01 without losing it?
Is the game listed on wolo.net the actual game i need?
If so, how do i get it when i need to update firmware to get on the PS store?
It's extraordinarily easy, you just need a PSP with CFW.
1. Hit the select button on the PSP, and change "USB Device" to the UMD drive.
2. Plug PSP into PC and go to USB mode.
3. You can copy-paste the PSP game from there.
And you can do PSP->Vita in a single transfer using the PC as a middle man with VitaFTP. I recommend doing it that way so you aren't copying the same file 2, 3, or 4 times depending on how you go about transferring them.
I'm a little confused cause there seems to be the "full PSP CFW" which basically emulate the PSP environment on PSVita, and then there's Vita Half-byte loader which is a more limited CFW solution.
So if I
- am on 3.01
- have the most recent "exploitable" game
Can I expect to be able to use the "full PSP CFW", or am I limited to VHB Loader?
This is a kernal mode exploit, so it's the "full" one (hence why this topic is so active for this release, user mode exploits don't get much, if any, attention).
But the only real difference as far as I know is that the user mode exploits don't allow PSP software to be run, only homebrew. I might be mistaken on that though.
Thanks chaosblade,
So for now, I basically sit with my 3.01 firmware and exploitable game and wait for the actual CFW release to come out then run it through the game?
Yep. I think they usually wait for Sony to take the game down before they release the files, but if Sony is really slow at taking it down they might release them before then anyway.
Is this actually a good thing?
You make it sound like this is a Vita level exploit that will allow homebrewers access to the full system's resources. This would be amazing, if it were the case.Right now, the Vita is the best handheld emulator of old consoles on the planet except for one tiny issue: There's no way to run unsigned native code on the device. This hack will open the floodgates to portable NES, SNES, N64, maybe even Dreamcast games. There are other devices out there dedicated to emulators, but their displays are crap and controls aren't as good as the vita.

As far as I know, this is simply a PSP Emulator exploit that will basically boot into a CFW PSP instead of the exploited game. Thus, you'll get the Vita benefits of bilinear filtering, right stick / touch screen button mapping, better buttons and a bigger / better screen. However, there's nothing you can run here that you can't on a normal PSP. Plus, if you are past FW 2.12 then you only have 32 mb RAM for homebrew apps (instead of 64mb).
This convo got me curious about something. If I recall correctly, CFW PS3 has some good homebrew emulators. Do any of them support remote play? If so, and performance isn't hindered using RP, then that may be a nice way to get improved emulator performance to get around the 32mb issue.
Also, the lower ram shouldn't hinder psp or psx games, right? Just homebrew? I ask because I'm doing this mainly to play all my old UMDs and converted PSX games.
Quote me.
Before, 3.02 will probably show up soon and patch it.Hey, when did firmware 3.01 come out? Before or after they announced this exploit? Because I just switched my Vita on after a few days and saw the update popup thing.
Welp, I finally was able to see the message on the forum (and I only made a forum account this month).
It is indeed the game that was shared in this thread already. Whew. Nice to finally get real confirmation like that.
Yep.You still on 3.00? KoP doesn't work on 3.01.
I wish I'd known about King of Pool before 3.01 came out. I bought the other JP game several days ago (before 3.01 came out).
The ninja release JP game seems the most expensive one for TN-V4.
Dying to have BBS on my vita, though.......
Kind of amusing how homebrew-enabling games are almost inevitably awful games.
Lol
I just signed up yesterday(?) and I can see it too now. Don't think that ninja release message stuff is working like they think.
Hey as long as you're on boredBut it's the only one that will work on a Vita TV, so I had no choice. Well, since I didn't know about King of Pool.
I have a question. I just got the game on my ps vita from the link . 101... Now how can i save it to my mac ?ANNOUNCED!!
Get it now guys while you can

Hmmm, I actually already own that game.
The developer was giving away codes on their Facebook page and I was about the only one following them
It's just like running a hacked PSP except PS1 games don't work with audio yet (but it's being worked on).I am realllly going back and forth on this. It'd be nice to be able to play my umd games and gba emulation, but how finnicky is this hack?
Is it a smooth operation or is it rather buggy?
I think you're out of luck. Just buy one used, do the deed, save it to your PC, and return the Vita but keep the memory card until you get one.I don't have a Vita right now, but does anyone know if I buy this game on the computer through SEN if it will download the file to my PC so I can save it for later or do you need to have a Vita connected to the service?
