Can't help but wonder about Uncharted Fight for Fortune. Wonder if you could turn Uncharted into a game like ACID.

Probably something like Uno on xbox live ? Multiplayer online card games, Maybe Poker ?! Possibly video and voice chat support. Uncharted license but probably completly uncharted unrelated

UNO is the reason why the ESRB does not rate online interactions.

Guys, don't buy when vikings attack, it's pretty and polished but very boring. It's only moderately fun if you are playing online. BTW the online is top notch, really good.

Buy it if you are really curious or want to support a top notch developer, really, the game oozes quality (menus, graphics, online, artstyle, etc.), but it's boooooring.

exactly what I figured. Cool concept, nonfun game.

Now only to figure out whether to avoid Dokuro or not. Some people liked it, but from videos, I cant see anything special other than the art style. Anyone?

Really wish there was a demo for this game.

For some reason, the idea of a 2-D platforming title with puzzle-based mechanics where you have to guide someone from point A-to-point B through various obstacles reminds me of one of my early 1990s guilty pleasure titles, Krusty's (Super) Fun House.

There really hasn't been a similar game along those lines in quite some time. Although we have had recent puzzle platformers where you have to switch between different roles to get your own character from point A-to-point B such as the Trine games.

hrm.

I don't play games online much so this is sad to hear.

Dokuro is a great game IMO. Platinum'ed it. It´s is so charming and fun. Sometimes you may get frustrated on some puzzles but in general the game is pretty unforgiving and the bosses battles are great. And the game has some great variety on it, but I wont spoil.

The best dd only game for vita IMO (better than mutant blob attacks, escape plan), and it is way longer than them too.

How long?

Edit: Btw, My vote for best DD game goes to SoundShapes (concept). Close before Motorstorm RC (content) I guess.

I would say 10-20 hours. It all depends if you want to complete everything (finish all stages and get all the trophies).

I mean, you can skip 10 levels. It is useful when you are stuck on some puzzle. I did that twice and finished the game. Then I came back to the puzzles I skipped and I dont know why I figured them out very quickly. Then I went to get all the trophies.

There are 150 levels, many of them you finish in like 1 minute, but there is some you will lost a lot of time thinking what to do or come back to get the coins or improving your time.

I platinum'ed both Sound shapes and Motorstorm RC, but I think Dokuro is a much better game than these two.

That sucks...

Also, I've started to dislike NFS: Most Wanted.

- I'm realizing that open world games don't work too well for racing games
- The framerate isn't solid
- Cops chase you too easily and are annoying as fuck when you're just trying to get to a race
- Because it's an open world game, the track you're supposed to follow isn't always clear. Makes me crash into walls and random pillars sometimes. This is also partially because I have to look at the map constantly.
- Because the framerate isn't solid, the controls don't feel as responsive as they should.
- Online features are fantastic though.

Going to sell it soon probably.

I'm pulling the same move with DJMax Technika Tune that I did with Jet Set Radio when all we got from the PR team after the initial stated delay window was radio silence...

... by removing it completely from the release calendar in the OP.

I've still gotta get SoundShapes and I want Mutant Blobs Attack.

Might wait a bit now though, see if they do a deal, or drop when Vita+ happens. I've got too much to play already.

I think it's decent but with many issue, It's a huge step down from Burnout Paradise which does open world very amazingly, car's handle is just wrong with MW, and the city is design in a completely boring way and wrong.

This problem isn't in Paradise, hell in MW sometimes the sun ray effect stupidly cover your path.

I don't really know what hit Criterion or if this is the start of their fall, but I'd say get/try Burnout Paradise (if you have a PC/360/PS3) if you want a very good open world racer.

I never had that issue personally

I agree with you on that on I hope they can patch it.

I had way more trouble with the track not being clear on races with Burnout Paradise than NFS Most Wanted. Heck, I've been playing both of those the past week, so I know that for sure. I still think BP is a better game, but not when it comes to races.

I returned to Paradise just few days ago when I felt that car handling was completely different (and yes it was and it made MW even worse for me) and with it the paths are clear and I know where to go most of the time unlike MW(but then again maybe it is because I played shit tons of BP).

MW will click like BP when you learn the city. BP had the same learning curve.

Dokuro, IMO, is amazing but I can see its not for everyone. It really is a game that should have a demo.

When Vikings Attack is a decent time waster but certainly isn't amazing by any stretch of the imagination.

Anyone have any advice/impressions on super monkey ball? I've somehow never owned one and I think the demo is pretty fun but I have my doubts about it being $30 worth of fun. I almost feel like the demo is the exact amount of that game I need. :/

Oh I've spent insane amounts of time on BP. It's just that playing MW made me come back to it after not playing it for a while. Definitely a better game than MW, but I kept missing roads and crashing at turns on BP compared to hardly ever doing it on MW.

I'd toss in a reccomendation for Dokuro if you're into the type of game it is. One of the more interesting puzzle platformers around, for sure.

So far most of my time with my Vita has gone into it and New Little King's Story.

the article mentioned casino card game, which sounds boring. this, however, definitely could be pretty interesting...

I'd love to see any sort of game do something along the lines of AC!D.
Both 1 and 2 I thought were great games, especially 2 which refined the system and sped it up.

Howdy VitaBros and muffins, I recently finished Persona 3 Portable (great game, loved it) and I'm looking for a relatively short RPG that I can play and finish on meh Vita before Persona 4 hits later this month. Any ideas? I'm open to all suggestions!

Thank ya kindly

Have you played Riviera: The Promised Land? It's a good RPG that you'd probably like considering you like Persona 3. It's got some social sim aspects in there. It's also relatively short, just like you wanted.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana took me about 10 hours to beat.

The whole aesthetic is very cohesive, and I've found many of the puzzles to be quite engaging.

As for complaints about the difficulty: when in doubt, work backwards.

I started it a few years ago but didn't get very far before I put it down for whatever reason at the time. I think it had a lot of voiced dialogue which is cool with me. Didn't know it was a short game though, thanks for the heads up! I'll check it out again.

I went out today with some friends of the family and took my Vita along. One of them brought their kid and he was so thrilled to actually see a Vita and wanted to use it so bad.

I couldn't resist, but was dying a little on the inside having somebody else touch my beloved Vita. :(

Still though Zeer0id, his Vita..

Happened to me once, what did he play? I put on rayman origins for a fussy young one and it naturally worked well. I almost felt bad letting him experience the awesomeness and then taking it away.

Advertising better than Sony!

I hope you were watching him like a hawk.
My Vita is only a little more than a week old. I let no one touch it!

Thanks for this, saved me $10. I kind of got that vibe from the gameplay I watched... that it looked great and ran smooth but there was little long-term game to be had.

It's really a shame, because it really is polished and a great effort. As I said everything about it is top notch, great style, lots of unlockables, amazing online, but IMHO the gameplay is just not there. I'll see if the latter levels flesh out more the game mechanics.

So far, it's basically a beat'em up, but instead of punching, you are throwing stuff. There are different levels, but the differences are mostly cosmetical (I'm four stages in). First I'm throwing cows, now I'm throwing cars. The gameplay doesn't really change from level to level. No moving platforms, no rolling stones, etc.

The enemies don't change either, only the bosses have changed and have shown some sign of originality. I hope this changes later on.

Playing online makes it slightly better because since it's mostly chaotic, you can't help but to be an asshole and throw stuff at the other players, who of course would want revenge. Like punching other players in LBP.

So far, it's a really polished, shallow game. I bought it to show my support for such efforts, but really, there are better offers on the store (Dokuro!).
