That is soooo cute of your sis, haha.

Yeah I know lol. She's not even that much younger than me. Only by a couple years. But that's the kind of person she is, and it's quite endearing

Still I need to do something for her now since I can kinda see why she got worried. It's also one of the reasons I'm giving her the Vita for a while.

Is army corps of hell any good? Also, since its a new page, any good case/pouch suggestions for sale on amazon?

Fun for short time but gets repetitive/grindy very fast.

Maybe for 10-15$.

I've never played 999, so is it easy to get into VLR? I'd assume no.

I don't have any problems. Maybe i'll see let's play from 999 after finishing VLR to make sure if i didn't misss anything.

Yeah, 999 enhances the experience but its not required. They still give plenty of background knowledge in VLR and I'd argue its enjoyable even without having played 999 before.

What's the deal with 999/VLR and the voice acting?

Isn't it recommened to get one version of one game but not the other.. or something?

Not like it MATTERS ANYMORE ANYWAY! ):

VLR is in-store only. Thanks, though. I'll keep an eye on it.

999 is the first game in the series, VLR is the second. Only thing I can think of that has something to do with VA is that the english VA for some characters is fantastic, so some might prefer it over the original japanese one.

Yup, I should've mentioned it had something to do with the VA. I know they're different games, lol.

But I had heard that it was recommended to import the US version of VLR or something? Because the VA stays consistent that way?

While you could play VLR without 999, it's strongly recommended you play 999 first. VLR spoils 999 as you get closer to the end, and without 999 it's harder to fit everything together. Try and get a copy if you can, but if you can't you could YouTube it, although it won't quite be the same

999 never came out in the EU and was only on DS. I had to import it.

VLR came out here, but only has Japanese audio since Rising Star Games couldn't afford the licensing for the English. I imported so I could get the English voice overs since the US version is dual audio.

999 doesn't have voice acting, and English audio is more a preference than a necessity. I don't mind Japanese in somethings, but with a game being so story/dialogue heavy, I felt I needed the English

It's also available on 3DS

So basically import a copy of both games for the best experience, then?

Also have you guys beaten my RC time(s) yet? I tried a couple and did alright, but I haven't checked back.

OMG gravity rush level 12. :O

This game is so good. Sony really F'd up with that horrible demo. Who knows how many people passed on the game because of it. Would have never played it if it weren't for PS+.

Yep. But be prepared for a lot of dialogue and text, and I mean a lot. I played both games back to back in the last two weeks. Voice Acting does help a lot in VLR compared to the first.

As for RC, I'll have a look in a bit. Haven't been on my PS3 for a while for certain reasons...

I hope the Japanese language only EU version is good enough! I had no preference on audio though, just got the cheapest I could find.

Depends if you can live with the forced touchscreen gimmicks.

I thought I could but it grated on me so much that I stopped playing after a while. I wish you could totally disable that shit.

Good to know. I was eyeing the game and even downloaded the demo. But if it's got that touch screen gimmick stuff, I'll just shelve the idea completely. Hate the people who come up with that stuff.

I've beaten every one being sent to me. (Shahed still being the exception)

Just got back from work.

A workmate wanted me to show him my vita since he might get one.

What do you guys are the two best show stoppers?

Wipeout HD - the Fury and HD add on, not the base 2048 game. The PS3 port actually looks and runs better. Probably my favourite game on the system.

LBP looks incredibly gorgeous and is a great game to boot. Depends if he needs his games 'realistic' or can appreciate the art design.

I also think Ninja Gaiden Sigma looks fantastic, although it could use some more shadows. It's also an incredible game, runs smooth and holds up so well. As someone who never played the Black update to the original game or Sigma, I'm having so much damed fun learning the new weapons and enemies.

Depends on what he likes. If he likes FPS games, show him Unit 13 just to show that the control options on this system are legit.

Other than that, the games people mentioned are good choices. Maybe SFxT too.

should just tack on .. so 2+2=5 (just called out my fellow gaffer again!)

High five me bro!(sorry yesterday i finished double dragon neon lol)

daganroonpa 1 & 2 :( i want them!
For the people that don't know them they are incredibly crazy and original investigative games where iirc characters are forced to kill each other, the player has to guess the killer, if correct the player lives and the killer dies, otherwise the player dies.

I got used to it eventually, but the touchscreen elements do mostly suck. Fun game aside from that, so I guess it a lot depends on how much the gimmicks bother you.

Anyone else hating himself? :(
I feel a bit disgusted that I actually went through and got this achievement.

Maybe you can explain the multiplayer to me. I played for 10 mins and it just seemed like "open menu. Tap 'attack'" - repeat until bored.

Multiplayer trophies is where I usually draw the line

I can sort of swallow it if its fun MP. Like fight 100 fights in PSASBR, or whatever. But this was just tedious and braindead stupid.

plBu3.jpg

In my last post, I explained that monsters in the world of PS Vita’s Soul Sacrifice are what have become of humans who succumbed to darkness, using magic according to their desire. Today, I’m pleased to reveal a new monster, “Leviathan,” and to share its backstory.

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away, there were two twin princes. The older twin excelled at everything, and the younger one failed at just as much. The two were so different that it was a wonder that the same blood flowed through their veins. It was like pairing up a giant and a dwarf. The younger brother grew up with a severe inferiority complex and developed an extremely dark personality. He started to enjoy collecting ferocious animals, one in particular being a crocodile from another kingdom. He put the crocodile in a cage, where he tormented it. It was the only time he could ever feel strong.

Years went by, and it was finally time for the heir to take the throne. Of course, the chosen heir was none other than the eldest of the twin brothers. Jealous, the younger prince stormed off to his room. He sat there, staring at his crocodile. “If only I could get the crocodile to kill my brother…” he thought. Just then a strange voice resonated in the room and the prince could feel his body drown in magic…

Live on in Ghost Mode

In addition to revealing this fearsome new monster, I’m excited to share a key new element to the game’s multiplayer experience: Ghost Mode. The co-op multiplayer mode of Soul Sacrifice is not just about playing offense or defense. You will use yourself and allies as a catalyst for magic, and truly battle together.

At times, you’ll use magic to stop time so your allies can attack. Other times, you can choose to help aid your dying friends with your healing power. There are many choices available to you, and your victory depends on your decisions. And it doesn’t end if you fall during a co-op battle. With Ghost Mode, you will become a “ghost” and continue to aid your allies. Players that have become ghosts are able to openly observe the statuses of the enemies and ally members. You can strengthen your team mates or make the enemies vulnerable by touching them on the screen. So even after you die, you can keep aiding your party and continue the co-op battle until the end with your friends.

It was announced this week that Soul Sacrifice will release in Japan on March 7th, 2013. Please stay tuned regarding final release dates and details for North America and Europe; more information is just around the corner!

Maybe you can explain the multiplayer to me. I played for 10 mins and it just seemed like "open menu. Tap 'attack'" - repeat until bored.

What the hell do you even do in the AC3L MP mode? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Its click to win. Maddening. You basically send soldiers to a spot, and if you are blue or red, the spot changes 0,0001% to that color. The team that has the most colored spots at the end of a week wins.

The more you click, the more braindead and % you get. And as you can see, it took me 8 hours.
