This sounds like the worst idea ever (the storing stuff on cards). Storing stuff on cards leads me to fear more companies would fuck up access to the content on the card, a la Capcom and my attempt to move to a digital copy of UMvC3.

So, generally, I don't care much for horror, and know little about this game... but the sale make it's an interesting possibility to cap off my "Spend 100, get 20 back" deal for this month.

What makes Corpse Party a compelling game? Shock Value? Quality Writing? Is it actually fun to play, or just interesting if you fall for the characters? How long of a game is it?

That trailer for the sequel didn't answer too many questions (escept that it's creepy), so might as well ask here!

Seeing as it's still possible, I somehow doubt this was a deliberate move from Sony. It's just put to the developer whether they do it or not and some just require a memory card because it's easier to do that than try to manage resources on the game card.

Sony really should've mandated that every retail game be playable without a memory card but they didn't because that's modern day Sony, leaving everything up to the developers at the expense of their consumers.

At the very least, they should've thrown in a 4GB card in with every system.
 
I'm pretty sure every SCE retail Vita game requires a memory card. So they're clearly leading by example there...

In that case i would at least expect every 1st party game to store saves on the game cart. But nope. I can't think of a single one that does

Since the mega thread is gone is this where I can expect to find out about what demos are coming out? OP covers digital full games but I didn't see anything demo related.

Apparently the 30 day free PS+ membership codes auto-convert into 3 month subscriptions. So, I guess I could just remove my credit card info to prevent that, except it explicitly says that if you don't manually cancel your subscription after 29 days, it will renew. So what, are they going to auto-cancel my subscription after 29 days because they can't pull any charge information to auto-renew?

Come on Sony. I might wait until tomorrow morning to activate it, I should be safe then. MBA's gonna have to wait another day, looks like.

Just turn off auto-renew.

It's like any other subscription. If you don't check the box that says "don't auto-renew", it will auto-renew.
 
I know that's how it normally works for PS+, but on this card it literally says you have to manually cancel it a day before it ends. That's why I'm worried.

It also makes it sound as if the 1 "free" month would be included in the 3 month subscription because it explicitly says it would be "converted" as opposed to "renew". I don't know if that's true or not, but would be extremely slimy if so.

Sony can't even get their top developers to make Vita games, what chance do you think they've got of telling them how to program their games?

You can't "cancel" a PS+ subscription. It's impossible. There's no way of doing it. You can only turn off auto-renew

They got Evolution, SCE Liverpool, Media Molecule, Cambridge (Guerilla), and Bend making games. I'd consider all of those to be top studios.

I got the one free month when I bought the Journey Collector's Edition. I activated the free month, and my card has not been charged. I also chose "No" under "Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions".
It just means if you don't cancel by the last day, it'll be renewed automatically, but you can turn off auto-renew now.

Media Molecule's the only one of those I'd really label one of Sony's top studios (while one of the others no longer exists...). The others I would label as Sony's top studios would be Naughty Dog, Guerilla (actual), Polyphony and Sony Santa Monica. Three of those studios have two internal teams, yet, as far as we know, none of them are working on Vita games.

The hell's your point? That's meant to excuse them from supporting Sony's brand new system that's actually out? Those two team studios just HAVE to have 2 PS4 projects in development?

Nice. Sorry for the late reply, business is killing my GAF time. The Hori grip is clutch and allows me to play fighting games without developing tendinitis.

Corpse Party is essential for any fans of survival horror and/or visual novel-style storytelling ala the Zero Escape series.
Play it with headphones. It's an amazing experience for the ears.

Speaking of which, my next blog/ analysis goes into the effort that Sony first party is putting forth with Vita. One conclusion ... Studios like Naughty Dog and Sunker Punch haven't even supported the PSP. The other top studios under the Sony name (Cambridge, Japan, London, Bend) have while others are collaboratives as part of incubation efforts. It's just a different philosophy compared to Nintendo.

Mmm mmm mmm dual stick shooter. Those are great games too if you're a fan of that type of thing, highly recommended. I'll double dip!

Also, since the Retro City Rampage thread is dead, does anyone know how to save stuff you unlock in free roam? Every time I exit out after unlocking stuff, it never saves. There's an autosave but it never triggers :\
