Hey guys, how about we talk about games since it's the Vita psn games thread

So, I posted about it before but no one addressed it, hoping I can get some help - How do you get the autosave to work in RCR? I unlocked stuff in free roam, and I assumed it was autosaved but after I quit and relaunched it later - I lost everything. I still have the trophies I unlocked, but those costumes aren't

Also I might have to pass on RO and some other games coming up, got into a car accident on Saturday and the repairs to my car are going to eat a lot of my income.. ugh. I'm hoping to still get RO and PSABR though.

So, I PMed HProtagonist (thanks again for the response) about the Ragnarok release date confusion in Canada. While the game was announced for a Oct 30 release, sites in Canada are listing Nov 6.

It is possible that there may be a delay until the 6th due to customs, but the game will be available digitally for Canada on the 30th.
Game is still set for 30th release in US.

Now the decision is, wait until the 6th for a retail copy, or buy digitally on the 30th.

Pretty normal for XSEED games I guess, Last Story was delayed by 1-2 weeks here, depending on the retailer.

How do you get the autosave to work in RCR?

Not sure, haven't spent much time in free roam. I guess there's no "save and quite" or "cross save" option in that mode, eh? I could imagine the mode would just be an instance, and have nothing to do with saving, as that's all for the main mode... but have not heard either way!

Maybe Message the dev on twitter, or facebook?

Well, at least you're ok! Hope everything works out, as much as annoyances can pop out of nowhere, goodness can do the same thing!

Anyone excited about Ragnarok Odyssey?

If anyone played the imported version, how does it compare to Monster Hunter? Did it hold your interest long as the monster hunter?

Yup, excited for it, a key reason of getting a Vita for me, actually.

Played the JP Demo, and I think, in some ways, I'll enjoy it more, overall, than MH.

While I love MH's heavy, consequence-filled actions and pacing, RO fulfills a desire I've always had: Ragnarok Online world with a more fun battle system! But even beyond that, it just feels like a good action game. I don't think it HAS to be compared to MH... I have similiar fun with it, as I had with Secrets of Mana's battle system back in the day.

Sending enemies barreling across the screen, knocking them off one another, going into aerial float combos, hitting ground slams, impressive spells, and all the rest in between, while fighitng smaller mobs that are actually fun to fight, in between hulking bosses, with all the charisma of 8 and 16-bit boss fights... Just the very definition of what makes gaming fun.

Looking forward to getting to explore the full game, and the other classes (I started off RO as a Mage...) next week!

Unrelated but got Odin Sphere while it was on sale to. Will pick up Corpse Party and NLKS tomorrow and then Ragnarok Odyssey next week and I should be good for the $100 in Oct.

Now to see what the big deal is about this Mutant Blob. Better be better than Gravity Rush or i'm not listening to Vitabros anymore, only Vitacats.

I just got mgs hd and completed mgs2 again. Now on my playthrough of mgs3, which will make this my 3rd playthroughs of both games.

At first, I was tentative about playing through these games again, because they were pretty much some of the best games of all time for me, and I was afraid that they did not age well. But nope, still fucking awesome. I'd go ahead and say it, mgs hd for the vita is goty for me so far.

I just played some Mutant Blobs, and its pretty good. It's cheap so well worth the buy, certainly not an "OMG WTF THIS SHIT IS MAKING MY EYE LAZERS BLEED!" stuff, but that was my problem with the hype for Gravity Rush. Neither game is bad, they are both good, just not top tier games. My only regret with Gravity Rush was buying it digitally at full price.

I want to buy Corpse Party when it goes on sale and start playing it on my PSP. At the end of the month, though, I'm getting a Vita and would like to continue playing on that. Is it as simple as just re-downloading it on the Vita?

you'd have to migrate your save file, i think... back up to pc/ps3 with your psp, then transfer the save after you re-download corpse party onto your new vita (via pc/ps3, I'd wager).
