what does corpse party play like, exactly? is it sort of a top down 2d sprite version of a point and click?

It controls like a 2D RPG, much like the SNES FFs and the like, only you investigate stuff rather than go into battles.

The funny thing is, Wayforward was finished with the game back in April/May.

I wonder if SCEA told them and other companies to hold the titles for "the big ad campaign coming later this year" and bigger userbase.

Nah, there ain't going to be a big ad campaign for Vita in North America lol.

Tom Hullet, the game's producer said the delay was them timing the release with Silent Hill Revelation 3D in theatres.

Bleh, Konami held back a good game in the name of "synergy". Now I'm one less sale for the game due to an extremely crowded Vita release schedule. Not mention that I'd rather rent the new Silent Hill film, with gorgeous Michelle Williams, in three or four months from Red Box than spend $7 a theatre ticket.

Really excited to grab Corpse Party. I've been wanting to play it, so this is the perfect chance! I'm getting into Disgaea 3 at the moment, though. I'll give it some time before grabbing ANOTHER game. D:

Well, it's a good thing that the only way to reliably listen to the soundtrack is to get the game then. >

(Seriously, there's no official OST and YouTube is a mess from all the different games and barely any track names.)

SF vs Tekken is pretty good. looks good charachter models aren't as sharp as UMVC but forgiven with so much stuff gng on in the levels. Played a few matches vs a PS3 player. Feels good.

Got Super Monkey Ball today - if you like Monkey Ball, it seems like a great version. Visuals are native res, looks really good. The main negative (after 20 minutes of playing) is that the menus are touch-only. Stupid.

Press pause and hit the save game option? Auto saves happen after mission completions IIRC.

That's the thing. I was only doing stuff in free roam, I wanted to dick around in that as much as I could before I touched the story but it seems like the auto save never triggers in free roam. There is no manual save option either, btw. Sigh, so backwards - it looks like I'll have to unlock stuff and then go into story to get it to save my progress :\ Perhaps I'll play through story mode first now?
