On SFxT: hate to say I told you so...

Man, you can really feel the traffic after a store update. It's taking forever to download Frobisher Says.

Buy DOKURO

WTF. Other people are saying the same thing on other forums. Why does this always happen? With UMvC3, the compatibility of Jill and Shuma was borked for like a month with people who used vanilla's special edition code.

Unless my pre-order code from amazon shows up and magically gives me the 12 characters and 38 alt costumes, I'll be returning my copy as "not as advertised" to amazon for a full refund, I believe.

Nothing is wrong with it, Vitacat, unless you bought it expecting to get the 12 characters (PS3) and 38 alt costumes (PS3/PSVita) free.
If you don't care about those? You're good to go.

I was in the same boat, going back and forth for several weeks. I wanted the convenience of buying the digital version on PSN, but I also wanted the collector's edition stuff. Then I thought about the other CE goods I've gotten over the years and how after a while the novelty wears off and they just take up space. I decided that in the end the convenience of having RO just a tap away won out.

Well okay then, your logic just convinced me to go digital as well!

If you go to New Add-ons, under SFxT, there are like 10 paint kits, 4 color combos each. Is that what everyone is talking about?

I really really need to buy a game today. Help me decide GAF! I'm thinking of either SFxT or Silent Hill: Book of Memories. I love MK and UMVC3 on the Vita. i'm also a big fan of Silent Hill AND hack and slash games. so which do i buy?

Annnnnnd there goes any incentive I had to spend money on this with a PS3 copy already.

But you know you want the CE.

I'm still deciding, as well.

Exactly.

I bought it because I figured I wasn't in a hurry for the finished content on my PS3 disc... not at a $20 premium... but if I could get a copy on Vita and get that content I feel I was owed on PS3? Fuck yes.

But alas, right now? It's a no go. My current theory is that Capcpcom fucked up the batches of codes and printed the preorder codes on the slips and gave retailers the retail codes for preorder distribution...

However, again, if that's not correct? I have enough fighters, and while I thought SFxT was fun and was looking forward to the patch, I will not allow Capcpcom's fuckups to cause me aggravation and frustration yet again. The game will go back and I will get my refund. :)

Considering I'm only at $34 spent for the month of October, it looks like I'll be buying Ragnarok Odyssey digitally. That along with Okami HD next week and one other title should put me at under $6 needed to hit $100 in October.

Yo, I just got back from playing the first level of Orgarhythm and omfg the game is awesome. When you get into the rhythm of it it flows fantastically and the music gets fucking crazy and you are kicking ass.

Love it. Can't wait to keep playing. Also there are leaderboards in here, which is awesome.

Also, in other crazy news: Virtue's Last Reward just shipped from Newegg and should be here by the weekend. YEAH.

Videogames. So good.

Need for Speed seems like a good game to get digitally.

I've got both and get more fun out of BoM. More things to do especially if u like Dungeon crawlers. Compared to MK I think SfvT is better. Doesn't top UMvc though.

Can I just say that the boss fights in U:GA really detract from the game. Much like the swipe to not fall to your death and the balance beam parts.

Phenomenally frustrating when you KNOW you swiped like it wanted.

Unless someone already mentioned it, if you go on your PS3, you can get the SFxT swap costumes for the original cast for free. The SF/TK Swap Costume Complete Pack is located in the Grab Packs section.

Whatever. This nonsense could've all been avoided if DLC shit didn't exist in the first place.

Kind of like my morning deuce.

Coincidentally my next Vita platinum.

The Super Monkey Ball demo has convinced me of two things:
1) The Vita's joysticks are horrible and are completely unsuitable for high-level hardcore gaming, and
2) Every single game needs to run at 60 fps, and if you disagree then you should find a new hobby instead of ruining mine. Seriously, this thing is so gorgeous to look at in motion that I find it hard to justify ever playing anything at 30 fps ever again. I'm seriously considering cancelling my Soul Sacrifice and Tearaway (since I doubt that'll be 60) preorders after playing the Monkey Ball demo. Like, I'm totally not even joking.

On another note, it's nice to see that the Vita store FINALLY has screenshots up on some games' pages! Now they just need to add screens for every game, and let you view game trailers directly on the game's page, and throw in wish lists, and they'll reach the lofty standards set by the 3DS store! *snicker*

Frobisher Says is REALLY fun! Any idea on how many mini games there are? It seems like you unlock them as you go. The only things that aren't responsive are the color ones, because lighting is an issue, as others have said.

Gonna try unlocking stuff in RCR free roam again and see if I can get it to save via the story mode auto save ticking. Really annoying that you have to do it that way though. I got so tired of trying to remember where stuff was with the terrible in game map that I'm starting to reference this digital version:

Amazing map.
I was looking for something like this.

Still doesn't give me the 12 characters on PS3 for free since I bought the Vita version though! >_< (Plus I'd already bought them :|)

Would you recommend the game? I feel like it might not hold my interest for its entirety, a game based on a single mechanic. Not at $29.99, anyways.

Seems a bit silly for something i can't see any difference between.

I didn't realize that Playstation Mobile games were up on the Vita store as of a few weeks ago. Has anybody played that Kuru Kuru Kururin knockoff game (Twist Pilot)? Is it any good?

If you don't like arcade-style games that focus on a single mechanic then I probably wouldn't bother, although it also includes a bunch of minigames that mix things up. Though if you're interested in trying the Monkey Ball series for the first time, I would suggest starting with Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 on the Gamecube. They have much better level design than any of the later games and they control best with the Gamecube controller.

Now Carl, its not nice to tease your fellow Vita bro's, you know we all have to stick together.
Although I do have a guilty secret. I have not and never will buy MBA. I dont like platformers.

I'm still debating if I should get Orgarhythm. I've been playing Madden and MLB on my vita and enjoying. I'm going to start having a backlog for this thing especially towards the end of the month with DJMax, AC:L, and NFS coming out.

No it's fine, it felt good to get that off my chest!
At least I am not as grumpy as Lucha.
Seriously though, I like that you champion stuff.

Heh, only reason i call out "Mutant Blobs" to everyone that gets a Vita, is that i have found it has a lot of appeal to many different people. Showed it to my sister, her fiance, and my girlfriend and they all liked it. I love it. LOTS of people in here love it. It's a good game that a lot of people like. It helps that it's incredibly cheap too.

And also because i absolutely love DrinkBox and the games they make, and think they are a studio to keep an eye on in the future, so every copy of Mutant Blobs that sells is good for them :)

Just bought virtues last reward and corpse party off psn.Dis gun be good. Haven't really played many visual novel type games but 999 blew my mind when I watched the let's play.

Also saw that orgarythm is out. Hope to hear some more comments on that game.

I've tried this final fight at least 10 times now and can't get past the 2nd swipe most of the time. ffs 98% awesome game, 2% shite.

At £5.49 for a genre I dont like on a memory card I have to juggle with, I just cant bring myself to do it.
Guess I should be labelled a Vitacousin instead :(
So basically you are that distant cousin I have never seen before and never turns up for family gatherings.

Yeah I know, I read this thread everyday, I have seen all your posts lol (and that is a feat in itself.)
I am sure my wife would like it, but damnit, I bought this Vita so I could play games and read GAF whilst she is using the TV.
