Why is SE so quiet in Vita development. The platform could've used a DQ game. I just don't understand them.

SE still struggles with HD towns even on portable systems.
Eidos could turn out a great game or two at least but their resources have been allocated elsewhere.
Gotta say I really enjoyed the Silent Hill demo (and I can't really tell why). I reckon I'll definitely be picking it up.
AC and NFS just aren't really my cup of tea. I don't mind AC, but I've only played the series for a couple hours so I'm not about to jump in with Liberation.
I shall return when P4G releases, yes

It does have multiplayer with 4 players max I believe. I haven't tried it yet but after watching the GiantBomb QL I really want to give it a try.

Dragon Quest isn't exactly a surprising announcement for 3DS given there were already 2 spinoffs released for it. That franchise typically goes to the platform that sells the most. The question would be better left for Dragon Quest X being on Wii U despite no guarantee that platform will be the best selling.
There's Kingdom Hearts, but the effort it would take to make a Vita entry could easily be used for a console game, which that franchise desperately needs. Which is supposedly why KH 1.5 is only on PS3.
It really leaves only Final Fantasy in regards to IPs that can sell handhelds. There's a remake of a very special entry in that franchise that would be guaranteed to sell hardware worldwide, but we all know that's not going to happen. There's the ever possible sequel to Final Fantasy Type-0 but given how many years it took the first game to be released, it wouldn't come any time soon.
It's very clear at this point that any big exclusive third party support for this platform is going to have to be stuff Sony pays for, and that's really quite sad.
I will probably be doing the same. I have had that preordered for months and cannot wait for it. I was watching the Giant Bomb ER and when it was announced for Vita I stopped so I didn't spoil anything.

Sad to hear that the Vita version of Most Wanted doesn't have as much traffic as the console versions. I know stuff like that should be expected but I don't see myself buying the Vita version now since I was only planning on getting one or the other.

For PSP, they'd still need to work on a Vita version and that would take aaaaaaages.

Square will never release Agito in the west, but going by the demo(s) maybe that's a good thing.
I'm more pissed about Eternal Punishment and the Last Ranker not making it over than that, TBH BBz.

i think sony should, at the very least, invest in getting type-0 on vita. beyond that, whatever, but getting us type-0 would at least indicate that they're serious (not to mention, it might actually sell a few more vitas)...

Our current lack of EP is incredibly frustrating. I need some MegaTen goodness to tide me over until P5 gets released. Which could be an eternity.

I set my iPhone alarm for 12:10 AM and slept right through it! My GameStop is literally two minutes around the corner from my house too. I'll go pick it when they open at 10:00 am. Then I'll post some impressions and throw some screen shots up via LiveTweet, @Reluctant_Hero

Just played 3 events online in NFS:MW and all seemed solid except for the race seemed to have a little lag. Obviously this is just from a small sampling of events but overall it seems like online should work well. I really enjoy how they mix up the events and it isn't just about racing. The first event was a drift challenge in which you had to try and get the longest drift in a warehouse area, the next was a race, and the last was an event in which everyone in an area had to try and get two takedowns.
I just ned to find the list and bookmark it along with all the other Vita threads.

Anyone played Lego Lord of the Rings yet? Thinking about whether I'm going to pick it up when I go get NFS/Liberation/Smart As... after work.
I would be so disappointed if the third Dissidia game ends up coming out on 3DS instead of the Vita, but I don't doubt that that is certainly a possibility just so Square-Enix doesn't have to render higher res models like Capcom with Monster Hunter.
Also, is it basically confirmed that the people doing Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 remix are probably going to finish that before doing Final Fantasy X HD?
Like I said in the Square Enix forecast revision thread, they are the epitome of incompetence. Wada is the sultan of sucking as an executive and visionary. It's time for a change.

SE is parody of itself whole this generation.
Their console efforts suck - there's FF XIII + 2 MMOs and literally nothering else except few half assed games , their handheld effort is barely better but that's mostly due to a lot of them being remake of remake of previous games from good years.
If i try to think about good SE games in last 6 years i only find Type-0 and TWEWY.
