Thought i would update this.

Still chasing both SEN & Playstation about the problem, even made a youtube for them,

Anyway to close this, just cancelled my sub to SEN, fuck em.

That's typical Sony dysfunction. "Oh, no, that's the other Sony's fault". No matter how much they shuffle their divisions around, the idea that they are all one company with a single customer never crosses their minds. It sucks you had to put up with all of that. You were much more patient than I would be.

It's really not.

You may just be more practiced this time round but crushing was def harder.

Could be, I just blazed through 25 chapters' worth of crushing in 4-6 hours while going through the list of collectibles. Hangman sections and the minigun guys that gave me endless trouble on hard just gets rolled.

mass effect 3, Need for speed the run and bioshock 2. All PS3.

Mixed feeling about this; my logical half says m'kay, but the collector side of me is appalled D:

I am going to say this loud and clear:

If you love racing games you MUST play NFS:MW on the Vita. What Criterion has accomplished is a pinnacle of the handheld stratosphere, in terms of polish, beauty and playability. They've really set a higher bar with their effort. I can't fully describe what I feel about the game, but it's all phenomenal. The gates, day and night cycles, car damage, adrenaline filled police chases - its all here. If you want an arcade, open world, polished racer: this is your game.

Cars even handle accordingly, too.

I'm more than impressed and I had high expectations, please, don't write off this game. Criterion deserves a pat on the back ^_^

Kudos to Criterion!

After playing MW the amount of traffic is far more than I expected. Just right needs no more. Awesome game, feel and soundtrack. This ones a winner. Only gripe I wish it was much sharper looking and had water reflections. Amazing game.

No WRC3 (ended up buying it retail)
No Jet Set Radio (Dodgy delay)
No Retro City Rampage (Dodgy delay)
No Most Wanted (this one in kinda understandable)

PSN doesn't seem to want my custom. I shall reward them accordingly. At least I can trade the mediocre WRC3 I suppose.

The spend $100 campaign is still going on right? I am $30 short, I can't decide between AC: Liberation and Most Wanted.

@PlayStation
Reminder: Last chance to purchase $100 worth of PSN content and get $20 back! Ends at 11:59 Pacific Time tonight. Games, videos all count

I still have to spend about $60 to get there myself. Buying Okami anyway tonight, then have to figure out what Vita game I want to buy digitally.

I have AC:L and MW. I bought the white bundle yesterday. I had been lusting for AC:L more than NFS, but I've been playing NFS and have yet to even touch AC:L....Dunno why, didn't expect it, but I love MW so much already.

So really: open world assasin game or open world racer?

Your pick, or pick both ^_^

I have to say I'm absolutely heartbroken that WRC3 on the Vita is a subpar port. It was easily my most anticipated game for this year. Based on your impressions I read earlier, I may have to skip it altogether. The home console version should be fine though, so I'll get that insted later on.

Wait, how did you get WRC?! I wants it.

I was leaning towards Assassin's Creed actually, but MW seems to be just as good if not better. I'll get a extra PSN card and with the $20 credit I'll buy one of them one week later I guess ^_^

Thanks everyone for the reminders!

If all you care about is the handling and you're happy with the 'meat' being 6 stages across 6 rallies, it's sufficient. Also bear in mind I don't really bother with online so that's something that might make it better for you?

I can't pretend I'm not bummed out though, 'cause I am. I'd been eagerly anticipating it too :(

I believe they said there were more tracks coming as free DLC IIRC.

It's nice to hear that they didn't compromise the handling model, but I don't think I'd be comfortable paying £30 for a port that's clearly very short on content. I'm not big on online multiplayer either, so there's that.

Thanks for biting the bullet for us.

edit:

Really? This might change things.

Still chasing both SEN & Playstation about the problem, even made a youtube for them,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZevigsvT0g

Emailed this off them, nothing came just the bounce reply from playstation "Thanks for contacting us". So gave twitter a little bashing and SEN finally replied to a few of my grumble tweets last week saying i need to call SEN, a US number was given so asked for a UK Number. Called the centre 17:45 a girl answered sorry our systems are down can you call back tomorrow, i said thats fine but i did not call back tomorrow.

In meantime i now get a playstation customer feedback survey, POOR POOR POOR, would you like someone to contact you YES. Now things have improved im being called back now ;)

Missed a call today so just returned it. As far as playstation UK are concerned its been raised to the top of Playstation UK HQ and its not their problem its SEN. Wow i went to the top ;) So i said to the attendant, i appreciate what you are saying but the app in question is also Sony's after all its called "Sony" Entertainment Network. Appreciate you are playsation, but SEN say its a vita issue and at the end of the day you are all sony in my eyes, all i am after is someone to take "ownership" but no. Last words from him was I appreciate your frustration but you need to call SEN and ask for a manager.

Just called SEN 17:45 to be greeted by another female attendant. Sorry we are having maintenance can you call back in the morning. Ok so the staff on the last hour are taking the piss now and just want to go home.

i also had problems with Music Unlimited. Just hold the power button long enough to get into recovery mode and restart the vita by choosing the first option. solved the problem for me. :-)

Explain please.

Damn how'd that happen?

Played the demo, decided it wasn't for me, I wanted my 1.4gb back.
Tried to delete the demo, system froze.
Had to rebuild the database to get it working.
It deleted the Mortal Kombat bubble, and maybe some other bubbles too, I'm having trouble remembering which PSP games I had installed.
Everything out of order. All my customizations gone.

So. farking. pissed. off.

What the heck, really? Were your save files intact at least?

Definitely going to stay clear of that demo then...

Smart As... wrecked my Vita. UGH.

How's that? I just came here to say that while I intended to get NFS and AC, I ended up getting this, because I'll probably buy the first two on cart (my 16GB is being stretched too much and 32MB isn't available yet in Europe) ... well, maybe. Or I need to get used to backing up my games to my PC and swap them out that way, but ... hmm.

Anyway, I did know that something like Smart As definitely needs to be on my memory stick (and seeing a Platinum basically needs me to do the game for at least once per day for 100 days ... not that I'm a Platinum hunter, just have one even though I'm level 12, but it's clear where this is going ... and then you need to play the game in a few different locations as well, from the looks of things)

Smart As probably has the biggest amount of leaderboard stuff I've seen so far (though I haven't tried ModNation), and the presentation has managed to get even more polished than it already was at GamesCom 2012 (where it was quite a different game from what I saw there in 2011 already).

I'm pretty happy with it so far, anyway! And no issues whatsoever, except that when I'm writing letters, it seems to demand I write a lower case t rather than a T, which it just can't read for some reason. Everything else seems fine though.

Don't assume that this is related to this games demo. This seems to very randomly happen sometimes, more likely related to the memory cart's driver or connection system or something. It very occasionally seems to lose contact or something like that which then causes the system to respond in this way. I've seen it once or twice myself.

Rebuilding the DB probably removed the bubbles only for games that saved on the cart.
Saves should be safe once you reinsert.

But yeah, losing all the bubble order and themes sucks.

Yes. Like Paradise except with real licensed cars.

It has it's similarities but it's no burnout. Played the full game trial yesterday and while I enjoyed what I had played, didn't get nearly the same feeling as Paradise. I just miss those take down cams so much.

Does it have dj atomica again?

Not that I've heard.

While I agree somewhat I also remember those takedown cams messing me up while racing and sometimes causing me to crash or miss a turn.

Fixed. And actually 32gb is available. At least here in the UK anyway.

Also I just finished my all day long horror stream. What have I missed?

Try turning it off and on again it might help.
