Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

Is this game online only available through publishers website? Importing this will cost +-$85, Hatsune Miku PDf from Japan wasn't that much.

They have said it will be available eventually through other means, but we haven't heard more since. Because this is a very niche game (it will surely sell less than 10,000 copies -- maybe less than 5,000) it seems like the publisher is trying to make every dime possible by selling it only directly (and on PSN) at first.

Can't agree with the way they are handling things but hey, it isn't my call.

If you have a chance, the Korean and Japanese versions both feature the same songs and are in full English, so there's always that if the US route is somehow more expensive than either of those.

So, Vita owner since launch, own about 20 games (closer to 35 if you include all the PSN PS1/PSP purchases), my next Vita game is Persona 4 Golden... my most anticipated Vita game of all.

But I'm worried about... what do I have to look forward to next? What are some of the big upcoming games because I'm looking over the amazon.com listings for Vita and nothing is popping out at me.

I hope we get the new Ys game localized but that's not an officially announced game so I'm not counting that.

As long as it's on PSN it's fine with me.

Soul Sacrifice, PS Battle Royale, Sly 4, Earth Defense Force, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone, Tearaway, Guilty Gear (PSN) are all coming for sure over the next six months or so.

Also, games which may come over in the next year: Ys Celceta, Valhalla Knights 3, Oboro Muramasa, Atelier Totori, God Eater 2, Dragon's Crown, Malicious Rebirth (PSN), and one or two that I can't remember.

Edit: Also Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, DJ Max Technika Tune.

Well we know we will have SoulSacrifice, Killzone Mercenaries, Tearaway for next year. Plus some PS3/PSV games plus some candidates for translation like - Malicious, Muramasa, Atelier.

Ps3 port of FFA,not interested in killzone?
Yeah, sorry I meant killzone. Edited! Maybe I'll change my mind? Been known to happen.

I had NO IDEA what tearaway was... I did find a good video on youtube. It looks fantastic.

Ys and God Eater 2 would make me very happy... I hope the Vita has a good holiday to help boost the chances of us getting these gems.

Thanks guys!

Wow really a new R&C game on Vita? neat. I knew about Sly and Soul Sacrifice. Both on my radar. Doubt all-stars is for me. Same for killzone. I need to research tearaway, never heard of it.

R&C is out at the end of the month and also a cross buy game too :) I don't believe it's a platformer in the usual sense though, I'm sure I read somewhere it's more a tower defence type game... might be wrong though. Also it's going to be pretty cheap £15 on Amazon at the moment.

Tearaway is something that will be VERY special, it's done by Media Molecule exclusively for the Vita, so not some cut down port.

Are the menus and trophies English aswel?

I really hope Dragon's Crown isn't Vaporware. :(

There's a vanillaware game coming to the Vita and DC is a PS3/Vita game. Chances of it being vaporware are pretty small IMHO. Even more, the game doesn't seem to push the hardware very much so less reasons why a Vita release would jeopardize the game release.

If you take graphics over gameplay, I think you need to return your gamer card.
Not really, i hope xP.
I bought mortal kombat without hesitation even with all that talk about the graphics.
I was only afraid that the visuals could interfere with how good we play.
like not seeing on the distance the obstacles and see the streets far enough.

The iOS version looks better than the Vita version except in lighting and shadowing, but that's literally the only thing it has over it. The Vita version is beyond comparison to the iOS/Android version. It's fantastic.
Vita version is great. I,m happily playing on ps3 or vita and have no problems switching between them. PS3 is much better looking, but I really like the autolog stuff and for that the vita is perfectly suited, much like motorstorm RC
Got them both. Love them both. They are different enough as well to not have one make the other pointless.
Most wanted on vita still looks really nice if you ask me. Especially in motion.

Thanks a lot for the opinion. That's good to hear.
I like the autolog stuff when i saw the videos of the game. But my friend list is very small on the 360.
I actually got more friends on the vita. Really hope that boosts the fun of this game.

autolog also recommends friends of friends, so you can increase your friends list that way too.

Nice, since i'm correct seeing how fast your friends did that race and stuff like that really adds to the fun of the game and helps the longevity of the game.

The next few months my Vita's going to get alot of love.

Persona 4: Golden, Assassins Creed: Liberation (missed out on the launch, but will grab it soon), the Vita versions of Sly 4, Ratchet & Clank Q-Force, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Playstation Plus.

Can't wait! :D
No trailers or anything?
There was a beta for PS3, the debut trailer and some gameplay footage floating around on the net.
Don't think there's any Vita specific footage though.

Really wish some of those Bundles in the UK were in the US.
Since I wouldn't mind grabbing my brother A vita with COD (Since most impressions in the OT are surprisngly pretty positive for the most part and what it is).
Since I know the PX will be selling it for 200 that weekend, hopefully Amazon matches or does another bundle deal like they did earlier in the year.

They won't so that the devs and pubs are able to 'protect' their assy looking games.

Pacman2k in the OT said that screenshots were disabled for technical reasons.

For the people speculating about the system screenshots feature being disabled, it has nothing to do with visual quality or some kind of crazy conspiracy to prevent images from this game getting out. It's a technical issue and nothing more.

He works for Nihilistic/nStigate ...

Source is myself.

This has been said hundreds of times before, but I will say it again. They NEED to add a way to copy/backup just SAVE data from Vita games via the content manager.

Copying the entire game is so stupid!! I've been having to play musical chairs every time a buy a new game recently because my 32GB card is maxed. Guess I am going to have to buy a new memory card soon.

its extra stupid because PSP games do this. So Vita native games are actually worse.

I've gone strictly physical for retail releases to avoid that. Most of my card is filled with PSP/ PSone/PSN games and music.

But I think everyone agrees on the separate saves.

It shouldn't be a problem once PS+ hits Vita, I mean we have been given 1GB of Cloud Space for it on top of what we get for the PS3.

Still that doesn't help non Plus members so they need to do something

so if you go physical, and the saves mostly go on the memory card, then just the saves are backed up with content manager? So its technically possible?

Yes. The only problem is that the saves are still tied to any DLC you download. So a save that's normally 4mb may grow to be anywhere from 30mb to 300mb+ depending on how much extra content you download for that game.

Well that's not completely true. Via Content manager you can easily "separate" the savefile from the dlcs...

How? I don't think I ever saw any option to backup just the saves. Unless you mean fiddling around in the folders while the data is transferring.
