Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

I guess I can consider the money I'd save on EVENTUALLY getting Wipeout to go towards Sumioni... Not too concerned about Uncharted personally, but hey, it'll be nice to play for free, even if it's not mypersonal pickl of game.

But that's a great starting collection. And DunDefenders for Plus on PS3 too!

SCEA came out the gate swinging, grats on them starting off strong. The wait was pretty worth it.

damn ya'll crazy with wanting to get memory cards, some of you want your entire library on the card it seems.

ill admit that is nice to have everything at your fingertips, but as long as i can fit like 4-5 games i need to playthrough, im happy. rather spend the $$ on games.

Yeah, I know exactly how you feel. Keeping the relevant stuff on the card, having a disk-based game in the cartridge slot... it's a nice amount of variety, even with only an 8 gig card.

I'll probably get a new mem-card if I can find a good deal on one, but not like I HAVE to have all the IGC games at once. That's possibly weeks or months of games there... don't have to fill up the card all at once. Especially with PSASBR digital copy coming from the Crossbuy...

Come on, dude, this is just he beginning. What about the future discounts, betas, PSP games and stuff? :D

I'm also wondering why they haven't gotten to the idea of making some premium panels... I'd definitely be something of interest to me. :)

I've bought almost all of the decent Vita games. I own all of the ps+ list with the exception of JSR (which I was going to buy anyway).

This is just telling me "stop buying stuff", same happened on PS3 I was an avid buyer of PSN titles, but then they started to appear on ps+ a few months later and I simply stopped buying PSN games. It's a great deal, but for me it's a weird situation.

I waited on Mutant Blobs Attack and Sound Shapes for this reason. I hope we get Sound Shapes soon.

thoughts/impressions?
I want this game, but it seems no different than the countless free iPad games :/,
Sell me on Technika tune ( I loved the old dj max games)
Its production values & quality are so much higher than any of the phone games I've played. The touch screen controls are really responsive and it's fucking HARD when it really gets going. It's a bit like Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents, but on speed.

That said, I couldn't get used to the backpanel-controls. Don't quite know how to hold the Vita comfortable so that it'd work well. So happy you can turn them off.

I bet you will. IMHO PS+ should move onto:

- Free OLD retail games (1 year or more). Basically competing with used games and huge discounts saying "buy it on release or get it for free in 1 year"
- Discounts on games the same day of release. Thus, giving an incentive to buy on release
- Free games on the same day of release. Thus avoiding the "but I just bought it last week!"
- Free "Discontinued" Games, PSOne/PSP/Minis. They really aren't competition

They should avoid:
- Free PSN games. This greatly discourages buying PSN only titles, retail games I can sell at least.

I got a Vita yesterday. Perfect timing it seems. Only got Reality Fighters and Resistance with it (was given it by a mate for doing some work for him). Biggest shame is it only had a 4GB card with it. So until I can afford a bigger one, lots of moving stuff around.

That PS+ deal rocks, not had one since I was forced to sell my PS3. Was going to buy Everybody's Golf next week, £12 odd for PS+ will be invested instead.

Superb - someone over at BST thread was selling a 32 gig Vita stick for $60. Totally bought it. :)

I half wonder if this is going to make me want to sell some of my physical copies for digital stuff. I'm REALLY excited about PS+ on Vita.

It's great in that it's extra holiday money. But the game cases are just so adorable.

I know. I do love them...

Looks like I'll finally play FFT, thanks Sony for giving it to us for free!

Quick question on Jet Set Radio: if I bought it on PS3, will I already own the Vita version when it comes out without PS+? Or are they entirely separate products?

Holy crap, I now actually have too many Vita games. I'm buried in RO, still have VLR in its box, P4G is coming soon, I've been meaning to start Gravity Rush again, and now Uncharted, JSR and the other plus titles. . . I love this problem. It's like I'll never be productive again.

I can see a lot of PS3-only plus subscribers opting for a vita with this kind of incentive. Vita plus is hitting the ground running. If they coupled this with a deep sale on the memory cards before the holiday, that could really help move the hardware.

I am completely stunned by the PS+ news.

SCEA actually did good. WOW.

I already digitally own all the games on that list except for UC:GA, which I have on cart. And I am all over JSR.

Sadly my 32GB card is pretty much full already. We really, really need bigger capacities (and lower prices).

E-Mail app when the Vita doesn't even really do push notifications...probably not so useful.

Unless the update allows it for email app! :O
...doubtful.
But at least now I can check those stupid emails the Engineering school sends me every week and then go right back to playing a game on the same device.

unhhhhh nest week update is best update.
PS Plus.
PS All Stars.
Email App.
Sweet Online saves (folds into PS+ but who cares)
Thanksgiving Break from school

OH SWEET LAWDY YESSS

Yeah but it probably won't notify you at the exact moment you get a new e-mail the way iOS/Android does since the Vita turns off wifi when not in use.

There's an option in the Group Messaging app to auto-update every 10 mins or so. Pretty sure they'd have notification options in the app itself.

Yeah, but 10 minutes still isn't instantly like on other devices is what I'm saying. My phone/iPad will alert me to new e-mail before my Vita will.

My iPad and Galaxy S 3 both notify me the moment a new e-mail is sent to me.

Well then use those. This is probably for light email reading back and forth. It's supposed to be a games device that has other stuff for multimedia, so give it a little leeway.

*shrugs*

Yeah...which is why folders would have been more useful than an e-mail app. That was the whole point of my comment.

Most people dont need folders I dont think. An email app is probably more general in a sense of an easy bulletpoint on a sell list compared to *FOLDERS! YEAH*

Email app is useless if I don't have an icon free to save it and my new games.
It's neat if you don't have a smartphone.

Folders are sorely needed.

I have less than 5 spots free.
And haven't even downloaded some PSN games I bought.

Yeah, I was wondering if we're maxed out on allotted bubbles, does that E-Mail app delete one?

How does one do that? By just downloading them or what?

Add them to your cart like you would anything else, and hit confirm to purchase. Once you see a list of items ready for download, you're done. You can even download everything to your PS3 to transfer to your Vita later.

I'm not sure if Vita ownership is required before you are allowed to buy Vita games on your PS3 though.

You mean it's not something I would download from the App section?

Fuck, am I going to lose yet another precious bubble? :(

I'm curious as to what it would to too.
