Look on the bright side. Now that there's a thread which already pretty much shows rock bottom for the Vita, there probably won't be threads to detail how it's selling slightly less poorly (relative to 3DS, the absolute sales could still go lower) in the coming weeks.

The PS All-Stars OT might be taking some of the slack. I have a bad feeling the first couple pages are going to be terrible, both sides of the argument shitting up the thread. Hopefully the folks that hate the game ignore the thread and the ones that like it dont instigate the folks that hate it.

I don't know why you guys bother getting so exasperated with the dooming and glooming anyway. It obviously doesn't affect how *you* feel about the system, and it's completely rational and reasonable to just ignore those threads and the comments therein.

This is just me, but I do agree with some posters mentioning why this particular NPD required a separate thread that will inevitably devolve into Vita sales jokes and bait posts like the one asking why everyone with a Vita doesn't have buyer's remorse. To me at least, its as annoying as a new thread for every single minute Wii U feature that's revealed.

Personally I'd rather have a separate thread that I can ignore outright if I want to rather than a megathread where there's some stuff I want to pay attention to and some stuff I want to ignore.
I never really understood why people hate seeing tons of Wii U threads right now. There's tons of Wii U information being revealed, so it goes with the territory. Again, anyone is free to simply not click on those threads, right?

I'm pretty sure Sony just made Smash. And while I think it's a step up from Nintendo Smash, I still don't like it. Which tells me that it's still pretty close to Smash. :lol
That's fair. Though really, my point was more along the lines of what made this NPD special that it warranted a separate thread. You could have had one that said "3DS outsells Vita 10/20/30 to one" in months prior and it would have had the same effect.
As for the latter, it's just me being grumpy that all the info needs.to be blown out at the same time rather than having been constant. Between the the opinion, news, and rumor threads, plus the 7-8 or so OTs that popped up at the same time, there's a lot of Wii U threads on the first few pages. Then again, this is my first major console launch on GAF, so I should just get used to it.

I agree. We all know the vita is rad. We know the vita has rad games. And shit, I think COD is a fucking joke at $50 but if one of you guys have it and enjoy it - more power to you. The only thing we can't accept is people liking Reality Fighters.

I think, like I said earlier, the "good" thing (if you want to call it that) is there probably won't be another thread made now until the margin gets even bigger. That probably won't happen for a long while, as this week was a confluence of Vita having no new releases and new colours being released in the following week, while 3DS has possibly its biggest release of the year as well as a hardware bundle.

I was playing Gwabbity Wush, but that's on hold until PS+, since I just sold my copy. Same with WipEout 2048.
Other than that, the standard stuff: UMvC3, SFxT, ToMB mostly

What I don't get is this. I have a 3DS. I really don't like it, the hardware, I mean. And there aren't many games I like for it. In other words, I'm completely confused as to why the 3DS is doing better. The DS I understood. The system was clearly more accessible, more portable and the library was phenomenal. None of that is true this time around except that the clamshell makes the 3DS more portable. Otherwise I think the Vita library kills the 3DS.
Nintendo games. And as a RPG player the 3DS library with the DS library to boot is appealing. People should be loving them both, i'm much more interested in the Vita and 3DS library then the consoles or next gen at this point. Opinions and tastes vary of course.
