Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

In other news, I managed to steal a DS of my friend for a while. As a bonus, he already had 999!

So now even though I had put Liberation to the side for now until PS+hit, I think I may now just play 999 instead. I guess I might need to start thinking about importing VLR

All we have is "Later this year" from the PS blog post. It's made from the guys behind Sega Bass Fishing, so IMO it'll be fun. It has a full trophy list, with a platinum too. There's gameplay on youtube, it looks fun.

nop nop nop. I'd have to return it and get a black Vita. Bright lights near the display I'm looking at are too distracting/annoying. I hate that PS light so much that I covered it with electrical tape. Haven't missed it since.

B-b-b-b-but it has a platinum! And it's on the Vita! Aren't the characters like ultra 'roided out chickens that kill other chickens? C'mon, as long as it's not unplayable it's probably at least decent... especially for a platinum.
 
I used to play music videos a lot on my PSP, but I can't seem to figure out how to get them to repeat on the Vita, like in a loop. Or automatically go from one to the next, it just goes back to the main menu. Pressing triangle brings up a menu, but it just has "Scene Search"?

Does the Vita just not have have this ability? Or am I missing something.

If you're on the latest firmware you'll do these steps:

1) Play a video.
2) Tap the touch screen. (or hit triangle and navigate the rest of the steps with the d-pad and cross button)
3) Hit the "..." bubble, and tap on the Settings bar.
4) Check Continuous Playback to have videos play directly from one another. Check Repeat to have the video ... well, repeat.

Ah, thanks! Hmm, repeat just seems to start over at the beginning of the video list, not the individual video, unless I de-select continuous playback. But an improvement.

The PSP was nice, you could select if you wanted to repeat the video or the folder, and just use the triggers to skip from video to video.
 
Somebody else starting to have troubles with the memory card?
My PS Vita has started to not recognize that I have a memory card so it comes up empty.
If I remove and insert it again the problem usually goes away.

I have a 32gb card

Well i finally caved and ordered a 16gb card, i am weak :(.
I have a few questions:

1. is it possible to use both memory cards, swapping them as i please?
2. How do i move all of the installed games & PSN account from 8gb to the new 16gb?

Has been released in Spain for PSP, and they said that it's coming for Vita in some few days:

It was known that Invizimals were going to reach Vita because when they announced the tv series they said that it would unlock game stuff for Vita, so a Vita game is more or less confirmed too.

In addition to this, in the first Vita AR tech demo reel appeared an Invizimals character walking, something that it makes sense since they had a key role inside Sony when designing Vita's AR tech.

Considering the huge success it had in PSP, I think it will help Vita's sales in Europe, specially Spain and Portugal. Kids seem to love it.

There are a few free AR games on PSN to download. The better ones are paid, but like a $1.99. My favourite is PuzlAR, though Table Top Tanks is also pretty fun too.

FireWorks is among the best. Simple, yet fun. I was very surprised at the amount of different modes and fireworks they put in there. Free too.
Pulzar is definitely a good suggestion too though.

Do I go into picture mode, and it automatically does it?
 
Another good Vita week coming up (for me), and probably the last Vita games I buy this year? (Although we'll see about that -- might spring for Atelier, more to support Gust on Vita than anything)

Malicious Rebirth (JP)

Also Persona 4 of course, which I played already. Still have the Solid Gold edition on the way, as I'm a big fan.

I think you're fine using multiple memory cards. Just make sure everything is saved and closed before you try to swap.

To move your stuff over you need to make a backup; hook up your Vita to a PS3 or a PC with Content Manager installed, then start a backup from the Content Manager bubble.
 
Oh yeah, btw. Got to the boss in the story mode of WDITIIDIDDIITTDDML 1, and got my ass whopped. Whoa. Tough stuff.

Few people have said this before,i don't think there's a solution but try updating your firmware?
 
This afternoon on my drive to work I connected my Vita up to my RNS510 car radio over BT so that I could listen to my music without updating the HDD in the car.

Dimmed the music fine when my phone rang but then didn't come back afterwards. It was still connected to the Vita so I might need to do some fiddling in the car settings.

"Holy Privacy Invasion Badman, What did I do to deserve this my Lord." The "Badman" part was iconic enough for discussion reference, but they dropped that due to naming issues. Now its only called "What did I do to deserve this my Lord". I think its easier to just start with a "W", whack the T and D keys a few times and put an "ML" at the end instead of correctly spelling out WDIDTDTML.

I could say the "Lord" games, but eeeh. No one would get that either.
 
So I just bought the Vita and had every intention of buying a 3DS XL as soon as they release a color I want, but at this rate of all the awesome games and PS+, I dont think Ill have the time until mid 2013 to get an XL.
 
Are PS Mobile games getting the kind of update support with new levels or characters or whatever heck else they get on iOS? Or is, for example, Super Crate Box a lazy port that will always be "as is"?

Yeah, I was actually considering picking up Paper Mario 3DS for 3DS (already own the console), but my Vita is making that purchase VERY hard to justify atm.

Stuff I'll pick up next week:

Wipeout (free)
Uncharted (free)
Jet Set Radio (free)
Persona 4 Golden (35-40$)
Zettai Hero Project (15$ during the NISA sale)
Sine Mora (10$)
Prinny (5$ during the NISA sale)
ClaDun2 (10$ during the NISA sale)
Elminage (if decently priced <= 15$)
WDITDTDTDDTML 2 and No Heroes Allowed (If on the NISA sale: 6$ and 5$)

PS Allstars Battle Royale is lingering in the back too, will probably not buy on launch though.

Those games will last me... for a while. Oh btw, do we know whether P4G gets an Digital discount/PS+ discount?

Im really not into the Persona games but I dont wanna be left out when it releases and everyone is talking about it.

P2s story looks great and the characters as well, but that archaic gameplay and load time is annoying.

P3 seems like itll be fun however, it seemed mehh, mainly cause you cant walk around.

Have you played them? Or just the quicklooks? What else do you not like about them? Nothing you mentioned is true for P4 at least.

P4 will get rid of the "not walking" issue of P3P and be a much more fluid game than P2 too.
