Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

I just realized I can't access the new PS3 store through remote play

I used to browse PS3s store and start downloads through my Vita, but since the store is fancy now it won't let me. This sucks.

Clearly if the last Mario game you played was Mario 64, you have LOTS to seek out BEFORE NSMBU. In addition to the SMG games, you should seek out the following...

- Paper Mario (Wii Virtual Console) {2001}
- Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (Game Boy Advance) {2003} (you may be out of luck on this one if you don't own a DS Lite; everything else is good to go so long as you own a 3DS or a Wii)
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Game Cube) {2004}
- Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (DS) {2005}
- Yoshi's Island DS (DS) {2006}
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS) {2009}
- Super Mario 3D Land (3DS) {2011}
- Paper Mario: Sticker Star (3DS) {2012}

After that, pick up one of the original NSMB games for the DS or Wii cheap (skip on NSMB2) and see whether you like them.
If you want more of that, consider a Wii U purchase. By then, you'll probably have more on Wii U to catch your interest.

God damn that's a list! Currently I only have SMG1, Super Paper Mario for the Wii & Really considering on picking up a 3DSXL. Hate the two tones though, will have to settle for black and silver.

But yeah, thanks! Dev gonna grab some of those when I get around to getting a DS.

I didn't mention Super Paper Mario for a reason. That may actually be one of the few games to leave a bad taste in your mouth (although it's worth trying out if you have it already for the novelty value of it).

Don't for any second think it's in any way similar to other titles in the Paper Mario series.
 
Something Ultron87 noticed in the Uncharted trailer:
In the video where it shows a dagger getting powered up by finding a collectible (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ci1n...utu.be&t=0m33s) it looks like both the statistic at the top is increasing as well as the value in gold at the bottom. So maybe powered up cards are more expensive to play or something which would make them not be "strictly better".

That is actually a really nice idea. If the cards get more "expensive" by powering up, non-UC owners wouldnt really be left out in the cold since other cards being more "expensive" just means that they either need to have less cards or less expensive cards in their deck.

.. if the game's customization is based on the idea of a certain set value.

Is the new firmware supposed to release today, prior to PS+?

Also, for LBPVita - I'd preordered the game, but it released early....I redeemed the "online pass" portion, but never received my Bioshock costumes. Am I SOL? I really wanted those.

*how do I know if I have them, I go into the popit menu, no Bioshock outfits, so I guess not?

I got my code for the other pre-order pack in an e-mail from Amazon when it dispatched, it was just the online pass in the box. I presume it'd be the same elsewhere.

On a similar note - do we have any idea when the BioShock costumes will be out on the Store? Amazon only gave the Knights pack and I want the Big Daddy :D
 
I think the outrage behind the TC Uncharted game is kind of hilarious really. People scream VITA IS DEAD! NO GAMEZ FROM SONY! And then Sony pulls out a new Uncharted game, albeit a spin-off and a card game, and then they scream UNCHARTED IS DEAD! LOOKS LIKE THE MILKING HAS BEGUN! etc. etc. People are never happy.

The Vita has been getting great support, the library is pretty overwhelming at this point and there is still a lot more to look forward to. I mean, look at this:

The environments are just gorgeous, and we know it's being tailor made for the Vita's pick up and go nature. Plus it looks gorgeous and it'll be fun.

Cliché, I know, but true.

Criticism is good, but on the web it looks like hundreds of people are addicted to it. And not just normal, helpfull criticism. "Burn it to the ground and curse it all down 'cause i'm closeminded" criticism.

So the t@g servers are undergoing maintenance, so the whole thing is basically disabled.

Might have wanted to time the code send-out a bit better :P

Yes, VanWinkle, I think.

Personally, it will be a very long time before I buy a Wii U. I'm sick of paying 'early adopter' tax on consoles; I'll let them work out all their problems, get a decent library or software and go through a price drop or two. There's no games on that console that make me need it right now and only one announced that even piques my interest (Bayonetta 2).

I'll stick my my Vita and PS3 (and to a lesser extent my 360 and PC).
 
Well my Vita was due here tomorrow, but what shows up as I'm leaving for work.... Fail. Now I'll be wishing I was at home all day lol
