Looks like I'm going to be a vitabro soon. I'm going to try for the rumored Amazon gold box AC Vita deal tomorrow but if it sells out I guess I'll be going hunting around stores. I'm hoping I don't have to do that so I'll be up all night for Amazon. I think their gold box normally starts at 3am eastern but who knows how they're doing it for BF.

Nice,I hope you get the deal(and is in nice/low price)on Amazon. good luck.

Assassin's Creed III: Liberation save glitch patch on the way:

We are in the process of finalizing our first patch to Assassin’s Creed III Liberation. Most importantly, this patch will address the Save Game corruption issue experienced be some players.

Other fixes include –

· Resolved issue where game exits to Ubisoft Logo

· Fixed instances of music stopping under specific circumstances

· Corrected the error in time-based statistics tracking

· Minor Japanese Trophies text fixes

We will update this FAQ once the patch has been made available.

Fucking Sine Mora boss eating all my time. Grumble grumble grumble.

I'm normally fairly adept at Shmups but this one is kicking my ass. Must practice more.

Do you have any idea about the rest?

EDIT: just reposting the list of games I was looking at:

Legend of Mana
Threads of Fate
Alundra
N20
Wipeout
Vagrant Story
Klonoa
Medievil

(I don't want to buy Chrono Trigger / Cross because I know I'll get addicted to them)
Whatever you end up doing or not doing, grab Alundra. It's the best Zelda type game in my opinion with an interesting story hook and massively satisfying exploration elements. One of the most unforgettable game experience I had. Can't recommend it enough. And... Skip the sequel.

Another vote from me for Vagrant Story as well. Skip Wipeout in favor of the Vita version. Medievil was nice back then, but 3D ps1 games have aged horribly.

Man, I wish people reviewed PSone classics.

I haven't seen anyone talk about Orgarhythm at all here, is it ok?

I'm also very curious about Assassin's Creed, did it turn out to be a capable game?

Damn you Dave. We're using the same PSN avatars!

It's impressive for what it is, a proper Ass Creed for handhelds. However it also shares the weak story & questionable mission structures from the console series.

It definitely is, unfortunately it has some technical issues, but it's still a solid game with fun set gameplay. I still wish the Vita AC was set in Italy, but running through treetops is pretty well done and climbing across the roofs to stab someone from behind still as engaging as ever (if you liked AC games).

Any need to play other titles in the series to enjoy this one?

It's a standalone spinoff. Not tied in to the other games other than a minor cameo. So nah, you don't need to know any of the other games.

AC3:L is a good game, it's flawed just like most of the AC game,Missions are cool and fit the handheld nature, the setting is very good (better than AC3) and outfit system is very neat, you can see that the new idea needed to be more polished but it is better than that complete disaster called AC3.

VGPoopz numbers are banned because that site is known to make stuff up. The scary thing is sales could be lower than that ...

Funny thing is they have absolutly no knowledge on what happens in EU apart from UK. But that doesn't stop them from making Worldwide numbers :D

Going to be a vitabro too soon, but you won't get the idea that it still lacks games out of my head :o

Why would you buy a system that you feel doesn't have enough games and it also has a questionable future in sight? I at least have a 17 game list of stuff out right now that I want to play and that's not including all the stuff they gave away for PS+ and Assassin's Creed. I felt like that was more than enough to make the jump even with the bleak future ahead.

One of these days! I just love the sly smile Toro has. Also saw your Gaf avatar on one of the billboards in MW. First time I saw that ... was weird heh

Yeah you did! I'll plaster my mug all over that town before I'm through ;)

In case you wondered, I set it up at needforspeed.com.

Alundra is pretty generally revered, but I couldn't get into it at all (granted this was only a couple of years back on the PS3). Might try it again at some point on the Vita.
Please do. It's a game that needs some undivided attention though, as it can get rather tricky. The first few hours aren't bad, but it gets really rewarding once it opens up a bit and you are left to explore the world, making mental notes of spaces you need to revisit.

... A pen and paper next to you would probably be useful as well.

If you already own it on PSN, I'd also be interested in hearing whether you are able to enjoy it more on Vita than on PS3, or whether that makes no difference at all to you.

I bought Ridge Racer and i'm disapointed - racing is ok but the game has virtually nothing to keep you interested - it's just like they are throwing a bunch of cars tracks and some upgrades to buy in garage for you - making car games without career mode should be prohibited.

Hmm any opinions on Mod Nation racers ? I know it's bad but that 6 euro price tag is kinda tempting.

PS. My copy of Zero Escape still didn't ship from amazon.uk.

Please do.
I have the import (US) PS One version physically. I'd have been wary of picking it up on "PAL" PSN, but I've just realised it's actually on the import section so it should run at full speed.

Added to wishlist.

EDIT: Gaming-Age review is the top listed review on Metacritic for Alundra. :)
