they got a number of people on the fence to impulse buy, meanwhile if it was a general price cut they might have waited because they knew they would have more time than 2-3 days...

Right now Sony is limiting how much people can use the digital side due to the memory card prices.
 
I honestly don't now why a free month of PS+ doesn't come in every piece of hardware they sell. They would have so many new long term subscribers if they just got a feel for what they get from it.

You would think it would be in Sony's best interest to get as much memory as possible for as cheap as possible into our systems so we buy everything off their store and not at retail stores.

But alas...


In other news, after hating the beta(s) for PSABR - i love the final game. Funny how things are more fun when you put some time into them. In the beta i thought it was a chaotic mess. But after playing a bunch offline in the final i started seeing the depth. It's a very fun game. :)

hopefully I can get someone to bite on mine at that price as well. funny thing is I want to play the game as I enjoyed the beta, but I figure I will just get the ps3 version in a few months and get the vita version that way anyways so I can just wait and try to make my vita a little cheaper.

really with their digital push the vita should have had at least 16gb of on board memory :/

MS had the same problem with their HDD prices. It was stopping people from buying online so they wised up and made the system support open memory. Hopefully Sony does the same.

While I know people love to bitch about the prices, and yeah, they're a bit high, the idea that it's limiting is not exactly true. Just dropping the cost of memory will not get people to move to digital. While I've bought a few games for the convenience, there's no way a majority of people will be willing to buy a $40 game digitally when they can get it for $15 @ retail and have the ability to trade it in later on.

I only bought the few digital copies I have (UMvC3, SFxT, Lumines) because I knew I wanted them to be easy to switch between, I have a lot of fun with them, and wouldn't be selling or trading them any time soon if ever. Now other games like Resistance: Burning Skies, Hot Shots Golf, etc. I want the ability to dump if I'm done with them.

Not normally. Not in my experience, at least.
However, in a month or two, GF will sell it used with an online pass for like $20.
And in this case, you'll be able to get it at that at a steal of a price for both copies.
Then again, depending on the online community for the game, the copies might not be worth much unless you have friends to play against online.

How is Ragnarök Tactics or the Doctor Who game? Got 20 more bucks to blow on a game. Might pick up a PSP game like RT, Elminage etc or one of the DL titles on the vita store (escape plan, billard, pure chess...) but I think one of the smaller dl Vita titles has a better chance to become free soon.

Ragnarok Tactics is a pretty decent monhun clone. It's made even better if you played Ragnarok Online at any point in your life so you can drown in the fanservice.

Tactics is a SRPG like Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre. Odyssey is the one like Monster Hunter.

I had to get used to the sticks too, but once I did, I couldn't understand why anyone had problems with it, other than basically adjusting to the throw/scale of the Vita analogs.

I tried the gyro at first, when I was having trouble adjusting and thought it was worse. The only application of gyro I think I ever liked was the bonus levels in MBA.

Any impression on Doctor Who or Ragnarök Tactics?

Also which Pure chess skin is the one that looks the best, will probably not pick up all at once. Or how many skins does the base game contain? Enough variety?

And: Anyone who'd play chess with me here?
 
So what's going on with the NIS sale? Is it only the Disgaea 4 DLC that's gone on sale so far, or have the other games gone on sale yet?

I won't get my Vita until Tuesday, but I don't want to miss out on this.

NISA sale currently is ONLY D4 DLC. On tuesday we'll get the next sale items. At least one of the following:

PSP games:
ZHP
Prinny
Cladun2
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness

DLC:
Hyperdimension Neptunia DLC
Atelier Totori DLC

(You might know, just wanted to mention it for some people reading this)
