I get the occasional bit of stutter via Internet connection. I have a 14mb connection. Would have thought that could handle it. The other connection mode is great but i have to be very close.

Well Motorstorm isnt a "typical" racer. Its a top down RC mini cars highscore challenge type of game. Has tons of content and runs smoothly though. If you have interest in that kind of racing game, its highly recommended. Its really fun (especially if you have someone to battle some scores with)

Ridge Racer is supposed to be decent overall but lacking content.

I got a vertical line of red stuck pixels that wouldn't go away even after rebooting, and I was really scared for a while (I was already seeing myself sending my vita back), and when I touched it it disappeared...anyone else had this problem ?

There is no PSN store on PC, only option would be via PS3 ethernet cable download -> transfer to Vita.

Nope, I was playing AssCreedIII and it suddendly appeared. I thought at first it was one of the game's glitches (it has many of them), and I went to the main menu, but didn't disappear, even when I rebooted.
It looked like this :

It's possible you just got the age old "PSN making up download speeds as it goes along" issue.

The Vita is certainly capable of downloading at reasonable speeds so it is either your internet connection or a network issue. Maybe try again at a different time?

Yeah. Seems like something they could add since you can already view your PC's music from the music player; they just need to change it from you having to copy the music over first.

The lack of video streaming on the system is really going to suck for me. Since the iPod Touch does it I just assumed the Vita could.

Tried pausing and resuming the download?.. sometimes it is only temporarily slow but gets stuck at those speeds - although I don't recommend starting and stopping it too many times (might corrupt without notifying (and still installs sometimes! - happened with JSR for me and resulted in an annoying bug, had to redownload).

It's rather typical type of fault for transistor based screens . Send it for warranty repair/replacement.

iirc transistors for whole horizontal or vertical line are suppplied from single power circuit so if there's a fault there then whole line goes dead.

Because I'm really enjoying 999 so far, and I mean a lot. I've only got the True End left to do and my import copy of VLR has arrived. I was initially planning on giving puzzle games a break and finishing Liberation in between, but I won't be able to hold off jumping right in now. Sure the puzzles in 999 are very simplistic, but I find the whole thing so captivating

Because I'm really enjoying 999 so far, and I mean a lot. I've only got the True End left to do and my import copy of VLR has arrived. Virtue's Last Reward is more of the same, and it's definitely more rewarding if you've finished 999, so good on you for getting through that game first.

Virtue's Last Reward is more of the same, and it's definitely more rewarding if you've finished 999, so good on you for getting through that game first.

I almost considered not playing 999. I sold my DS about 2 months ago and had never heard of it. I was even contemplating rebuying a DS and importing 999 since it never came out here. BUt then one of my friends mentioned something about games in general. It turned out he had a DS and an import copy of 999 as well! I just stole it from him for a while since he wasn't playing it.

I thought that it would only save "replays" with that option initially, but from the "replay" menu you can then pick up the game where you saved it. One caveat though, if you reload a saved AI match, this match wont count towards any of your statistics anymore (you could just save right before winning a match and then save spam the last move to get 100 wins). Its a bit... weird, but it works.

Also mind adding me on PSN for Chess matches if you grab it? Write me a PM with your PSN if you want.

lol OUT OF NOWHERE we get more info about this game, and it now appears to be a Vita exclusive. Cracks me up. Not that I'm complaining. Good to see it wasn't vaporware, but who knows it if will actually be good.

Like I said, silly. Very little is supported. Most PS1 games are, but after that it's a lottery.

What makes it worse is that if you have a CFW PS3, then loads more games a viable. It just isn't officially supported for some reason

IIRC there are a few titles that use the higher res RP.

It's sad that Sony have had the ability to do this for 6 years with the PS3 and yet hardly anything supports it.

Hopefully with the PS4 it is an OS feature rather than a Game feature which Devs have to work on.

I was bored, let me talk a bit about an undeservedly unappreciated Vita title by the dev who made Fantavision on PS2:

3 people on my friends list are on the leaderboards at all. THREE, for a game that is free, actually quite a bit of fun and really nice to look at.
I think most of that has to do with people thinking its "just" an AR game that needs the overly annoying cards to be played. So lets get this out of the way: This is not true! You can even play it in a pitch black room.

It has 3 modes, the table top mode (which indeed requires the card but is the only mode that requires it, but is also the least interesting mode, although its admittedly rather cool to "zoom" through a firework), the infinite mode which continually ramps up the fireworks and challenges to see how high of a score you can get and the challenge mode, where it asks you to do certain things like pop fireworks of a certain color within xx seconds or whatever.

Gameplay basically revolves around timing to "pop" the fireworks which will then in turn give out a nice firework graphic:

And you can unlock 152 different ones:

You should try it! Its a really nice game that doesnt necessarily need the AR cards. AND FREE.

So my NFS: MW is somewhere in the black hole that is EA's Origin store. They confirmed it's processing, that it is retail, and that it should ship today... sigh the uncertainty. I got it because of the half off black Friday sale.

Still waiting on my P4G copy though - newegg shipping seriously sucks. I'm really considering canceling my other preorders because of it, I figure the speed I get for free shipping at Amazon versus the 10$ off coupon I got for several games on Newegg is worth switching for. I can't wait to put that skin on my Vita - no more greasy fingerprints!
