It's really baffling to me, especially when the competition isn't faring much better.

I think people get sales mixed up with game quality/quantity.

But then i have to wait. Haha. I usually download it for free then if i enjoy it i buy some DLC so they get the money one way or another.

Of course, if there's no DLC then i'll just have to buy whatever they come out with next

I think its a bit weird though that they put up 2 new PSN releases on PS+ next month. Could have chosen a PSP or PSX game instead.

I told him yes, but I had a few strict guidelines to make sure an Isaac remake was perfect. I wanted the game to feature the second planned expansion that I couldn't do in the Flash version, I wanted it to feature local co-op, I wanted the graphics to be totally remade in 16-bit but still look and feel like the Flash version, and finally, I didn't want to deal with anything when it came to business. Nicalis has agreed to these terms, and development has started on The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

It's still too early to tell for sure what consoles the game will end up on, but both Microsoft and Sony feel like it would be a perfect fit for their digital platforms, and we have a feeling the new look might soften up a few people at Nintendo for a possible Wii U/3DS eShop release. I'm wary about how the game might control on iPad, but if they can make it work, I'm all for it.

I would lose my shit for Isaac on the Vita.

I've been watching HQ Youtube vids of NorthernLion's Isaac Let's Play before bed every night and it looks so amazing on that screen.

I don't own NHA. Not really my sort of game i'm afraid.

Pretty sure the two new releases are part of SCEE's Playstation Plus Presents lineup. Giving indie games away for free to try and bring them to the attention of more people, i guess. Raise their awareness amongst non-PS+ subs. Of course, the pub/dev gets a nice payoff from it too so it's less risk for them. Win for everyone :)

Best news I've heard all year. Isaac is was my GOTY last year, I've put over 330 hours into that game. (I missed finishing the Blue Baby run by a sliver at hour 310...)

If I could play an expanded version of it on my Vita... oh man... Vita would be my favorite platform.

I think it's the prestige for the franchises too though. Like I like hot shots, uncharted, lumines, etc. but if you compare that to New super mario bros. 2, Super mario 3D, luigi mansion 2, paper mario, etc. I think having those titles out or coming soon is a bigger bullet point for most than persona, playstation allstars, uncharted, hot shots, etc.

the new version was actually announced a while back, im hoping it makes it way back to PCs so my wife can play the game smoothly on her PC as despite the fact she can run borderlands on medium high issac has major framerate issues due to the flash.
 
I just asked McMillen about Rebirth on Vita via twitter, if he doesn't answer me, I'll send it up the pipeline. Eventually I'll get someone important enough to him to ask. I'm sure there is nothing definitive yet, I just want to know if he's interested in putting it on the Vita.

Wow, for the first time ever I'm not totally in awe how bad the year's best rated games are. The only game that shouldn't be even near the best rated game this year is Mass Effect 3 (a clearly rushed, mediocre pipe-run shooter with not-that-good writing). But Persona 4, Journey, Xenoblade & the rest really deserve their spot on the list.

The funny thing is, every single one of those games have been letdowns relative to the hype, save for NSMB. I still need to buy that game actually.
 
Just checked the Spanish Vita store. Saw there Puzziball and Travel bug, both free. Downloading them.

If you compare it to Mario, Mario, Mario's brother and Mario, I'm reminded why I haven't turned my 3DS on in a good while.

Yep. Just make sure you place a layer of scotch tape under it or else you'll get a lot of sticky residue all over the button.
 
Puzziball is a small, humble, phone like puzzle that takes advantage of the touchscreen and accelerometer in an original way, seems fun. It's a nice freebie if you have some space in the fridge.

I've had plus for about a year and a half now, so all those games, plus some digital ones I bought.


... I don't like physical media :/
 
Got a few travelbug guests but didn't think of tapping them and they were gone, sorry guys. They should make that more clear (or I didn't pay enough attention). It seems like a fun game so far, you get to see where your bugs went and you will recieve photos other people took with them (with the Vita camera).

Yeah I got that impression when I played it. I really liked how quick and easy it was to hop into the various mini games. Plus, it has a platinum.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. EA's store is super backwards, their support is equally weird. I talked to someone that had the username "Charlemagne" and took forever to even check the status of my order. He assured me it was going to ship, that it should be reflected on my user account ... it still hasn't, and I've been charged for it. I just want the damn game for the price they had it listed for.

Don't play with my heart ;( I want a Fallout game on Vita. Open world, decent graphics, locked framerate. It would be amazing.

Yeah I've met/know so many people who keep saying that. It's just ignorance really, or playing down the games that are already available because of the price of the system. It happens with any new platform really, and most especially when people already own current-gen platforms.

It's just infuriating when people keep assuming it, joining in on the hive mind mentality, saying the release schedule is bleak when there are a lot of games coming. They may not be huge blockbuster releases, but they're enjoyable.

Port doesnt cause much, i think for Vita port they must have recovered the cost.

I want to see where it lands on Vita chart

The best selling Vita game [RCR] and only managed to reach 16 on psn chart
