When did Persona become a handheld title? It's always started on consoles.

If Atlus was willing to risk a new IP like Catherine, which they said did better than they thought, they certainly aren't going to put their biggest ip out on handhelds first.

since when you could play a game and while browsing the web at the same time? I used to use the twitter trick but today I just went ahead and clicked on the browser without the vita asking me to close the game. in fact I'm writing this while playing VLR.

didn't know that feature was already added. is it just for some games?

What's up with Tokyo Jungle remote play patch for the West? The patch is already on the Japanese version what's the difficulty to upload that in the West?

Also, Pixeljunk games need to develop something native for Vita. Ports for their past games also will be welcome but a new game from scratch would be awesome.

Ended up ordering the Vita and a 32GB card, also signed up for PS+ and Music Unlimited through the PS3.

But damn the PS3 store is bad, having to go into each item before I can add to cart. It's also slow to even start downloading the PS+ games, seems to be preparing forever.
Thought I'd pre-download them on the PS3 until I can transfer over to the Vita, but I may just cancel and do it from the Vita when I get it if that's faster/better.
Is the store supposed to be that slow or is my Wifi connection to the PS3 messing stuff up?

This was in Vita firmware 2.0. Works on all games.

Err, so did SMT, and the fourth one is on 3DS. My comment was eventually it would be on Vita. First start off on PS3, then a Vita port.

Store is slow mess on ps3 - compared to that vita store is 100 times better (now if only i could que ps3 downloads from vita for ps3 to get them using ps+ autoupdate)

nah the PS Store is slow as turtles having sex on a glue pad.

congrats on your Vita, get Persona 4 Golden.

Persona (or any major Atlus software) is a title of major hardware in Japan, whether it's handheld or console.

Megami Tensei = NES title
MT2 = NES title
SMT = SNES title
SMT2 = SNES title
Persona = PS title
Persona2 = PS title
SMT3 = PS2 title
Persona 3 = PS2 title
Persona 4 = PS2 title
SMT Strange Journey = NDS title
SMT4 = 3DS title

So you're saying Totobeni was correct.

In Japan it was quite common assumption that P5 would be released on 3DS, until Famitsu or same magazine interviewed Atlus engineers. They said that we won't see P5 for "a long time" so hopefully the project is big enough to keep them occupied for a while (implying that it may be released at the console, not handheld).

I missed out on the Patapon series...How good is Patapon 2?

Its currently $4 on amazon

I love it. Being a rhythm game, I guess the gameplay can get repetitive. But there's a sense of progression as you upgrade your troops and equipment that helps drive you forward. There's also a bit of strategy to the game, and it's pretty rewarding to see your little guys take down big tough enemies.

Edit: play on easy mode for maximum enjoyment

Anybody have feedback on the replay value of Zero Escape? I'm thinking about getting the digital version.

Once you are done, you are done. No replay value at all other than getting every secret file. Doing everything will still take you about 35-40 hours though.

Done the treasures run in Uncharted, finally. Reminded me of just why i love this game (and why i think it's the best Uncharted game, including the PS3 ones!).

Hope Bend are working on a sequel. Really great game.

Now to go through again on Crushing, and get those bounties...

Do we know what Ready at Dawn is doing right now? I would love to see them making a God of War for Vita. They did such a great job with the PSP ones.

Pretty sure they said something along the lines of "NO HANDHELD GAMES FOR NOW. WE ARE NOW BIG BOYS".

I'm sad by their ambition. :( They managed to make some pretty damn great games being a small studio working on the PSP. The best alt weapon for God of War is in Chains of Olympus.

LMAO.
Avaline's father shows up as a red enemy in Eagle Vision in the start of Sequence 3
, plot twist(?) for AC3: Lib ruined? :lol

Well, the first is amazing.

Once the novelty wears off it is kind of repetitive.

Dangerous.
I wanted to throw my PSP at the nearest wall ;)

It is really difficult. I stopped playing it because I was stuck somewhere. I didn't know about youtube playthrough videos at that time.

This is weird, I'm by no means a rhythm game enthusiast and I loved the first and didn't struggle at all. Is the second much harder?

I'm guessing keeping the PON PON PATTA PON PON PATTA PON PATTA PATTA PATTA PON rhythm is a bit tricky. I tried the demo and couldn't move the troops forward since it wanted something like PON PON PON PATTA PON constantly to move foward. :/

According to SquareTriangle (well known gaffer who works at gamestop) Gamestop will have the Vita version of PS All Stars on sale from 12/9 - 12/15 for $20. LBP Vita as well.

The screen flashes to the rhythm, it can help keeping the pace. You do a pon pon pata pon and pause to give time for the army to answer to your command, and they repeat the pon pon pata pon, rinse and repeat.

So my replacement Vita from amazon should be here tomorrow. Hopefully there's no dead pixels on it... I think I might wait to open it until after my screen protector comes in so I can just test it to make sure it's fine and get it on before it gets dust and smudges all over it.

It's nice that I've been able to hold onto the one I'm returning over the weekend to play VLR while waiting for the replacement one to come in. Almost done with VLR. Getting down to the final stretches... so good.

What happened with your Vita?

I think Patapon 3 is the best one of the three. The two first ones are a bit too much of a grind whereas the third offers a slightly better balanced game & some fun new features. Honestly, I'd just jump straight to the third game at this point.

Plus it has some great multiplayer
