Toto and corrosivefrost, thanks for the replies. I've already told myself that I should likely buy the DLC since the game was free and I'd like to support the developers but I really just wanted to make sure the content wasn't trash. Sounds like it may not be anything super special but fairly decent so I'll likely buy it before I start back up. I also really like the idea of it helping with upgrades, too.
No problem.
You could always just buy one that would be available and see what you think of it. They're pretty similar in terms of the amount of content... so if you buy the maid pack (that's the first one that becomes available in the story, around chapter 7), you could play it and if you like it, grab the military and spy packs.
Thanks for the advice everyone... I will look into the Hori screen protector.
Honestly I wanted one solely to play Persona 4- It's going to be my first time playing through it. I also saw the tantalizing PS+ freebies and I just couldn't say no.
I'd also like to sink my teeth into Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, since Black is one of my favorite games of all time. How does it hold up?
np, we're here to help. we have a (mostly

) great community here.
and with NGS+, it depends on if you can handle the change from 60fps locked to 30fps with dips. a lot of people in here recommend it, but a buddy of mine recently gamefly'ed it and was very unhappy... then again, he's very sensitive to the whole 60fps vs 30fps and hates when his action games aren't 60fps locked.
im considering to buy PS+. can anyone recommend it? is there anything to regard?
The only downsides to PS+ are as follows:
(1) If you stick with it (and you should), you'll find that it becomes incredibly irritating when they start giving out games you paid for not too long before or when you've been with it long enough that the content that comes out doesn't do anything for you.
(2) It's sort of a suck you in, keep you paying thing -- it adds an incredible amount of value... ridiculous even, if you own a ps3. But once you have like 50+ games "rented" via the service, it kind of makes sense to keep paying the $5 or so it costs per month (if you purchase a 12 month sub).
Gameplay is solid, but it is incredibly rough-looking. Even in motion.
It's probably the worst looking Vita game that I've played.
(1) Better it PLAY right then look good.
(2) There are much worse looking Vita games
(3) In fact, IMO of course, the only really bad parts of the graphics are when they do the close ups pre and post fight. Especially on characters with exposed skin (johnny cage, sheeva) or characters with lots of hair (sindel). At 60fps on a small screen? It looks fine. It's not graphically impressive in any regard, but for hitting 60fps and retaining the gameplay of the console games, it looks absolutely fine.
Sound Shapes is really good, right? I feel like it's something I ought to really want, but I can never bring myself to buy it.
I wanted to love Sound Shapes. I love Jonathan Mak and Queasy Games. I love Everyday Shooter (it was my first PSN purchase) and I kind of want to buy the PSP version (but not for $10). But overall, I found Soundshapes disappoining, even with the day one PS+ discount.
If you want to make levels with music, a la LBP, then it's worth it. If you want an easy double platinum (if you have a PS3), it's worth it.
If you just want to play the game? I'd say wait for a sale... it might be in next weeks final Holiday Sale deals... or it might be PS+ soon. Either way, I'd recommend going that way instead of plunking down your $15.
Buy Dokuro instead for $10 and save the $5 for it i goes on sale for $7.50.
