Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

I bought the PDP trigger grip yesterday. I've been using the Vita far more, in longer stretches, since October. I've begun to feel some pain in my forearm, elbow and such - so, I figured maybe a grip would help alleviate some discomfort. We'll see.

I also put a layer of scotch tape on each trigger, to prevent the button innards from scratching them ^_^

Fucking love my system, pain or not.

Personally unless you can get a solid deal (hello amazon black friday deal) I would just wait. The spring english line up isn't all that amazing, and the system is due for a price cut some time this year, most likely no later than E3 (though there is a small chance they would wait until TGS). Given the titles coming out on the ps3/360/PC your money would likely be better spent on games instead of a system right now... though it's unlikely many of the games released in the next few months will be better than persona 4 :P

I don't know man....a $199 vita is looking tempting. I need to study a lot too...it might be the perfect device for reliving stress. Hmmm

Not hugely enjoying strangers wrath at the moment. Only an hour into it, so does it pick up? Characters and situation are kind of fun but going around shooting the bad guys is just OK.

I was ready to buy it for $199 on Black Friday if I didn't get one of Amazon's deal. Had I got it at $200, I would have regretted nothing.

Also, if you don't mind a used console, I have seen a lot of great Vita bundles up on Craigslist lately (console + 4ish games for $200-250).

Just get it now then.

Persona 4 is coming out next month and Sly 4 in March. There's already huge games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Unit 13, PS All-Stars Battle Royale, MGS: HD Collection, Gravity Rush, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Lumines: Electronic Symphony and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed.

My First Post Ever goes to the Vita Thread! That's how much I love my Vita.

I love being able to pause games and turn off the system and then come back to where I was playing, makes gaming when you have a wife/kids/other responsibilities way more convenient.

Can't wait for Sly, it has been a loooong time since I have played one.

So SF X Tekken, yay or nay?

Need suggestion for a fun adventure game. Anything? Played GR and UGA already.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma +, or + 2 (comes out next month), Assassins Creed 3 Liberation, Sly 4....?

I prefer Marvel VS Capcom 3, honestly. I bought SFxT when it released in Vita, traded it toward UMVC3 - even losing some $ on it, I was happier afterwards.

Welcome test:

Name something that most people in this thread associate with Mutant Blobs.

That pretty much sums it up, really. The game as a whole is very average, and the story has a great twist; but overall, I think people remember it more fondly than it deserves. IMHO, the final few minutes of the game are frustrating enough to sour almost any positive opinions you may form along the way.

Ugh. Test failed. I haven't played Mutant Blobs. I associate that with not having a PS+ account yet and missing out on getting it as one of the games, so I guess I can associate that with regret? The main reason I got a Vita in the first place was for more Lumines. I need to actually shell out for more games. Sound shapes was awesome though.

Haha, it was a thread injoke :) You'll get to know Carl soon enough. Sound Shapes IS awesome, and Mutant Blobs probably a "tad" over appreciated in this thread at times. Still a very fun platformer.

And yes, get PS+.

Welcome to NeoGAF and, more importantly, the Vita brotherhood.

To be fair, Carl has laid off Mutant Blob a bit for a while.

I'd say the combat forces you to think and plan and also be a bit creative..but yeah, needs some thought and practice (getting used to the types of ammo + situations).

Hello, and Welcome!

Post your PSN ID if you want some more bros!

Yes it pick ups, the tutorial is awful, awful and completely breaks the flow of the game.

Being top Vita download is a great sign though :) Hope you're happy with the numbers when you get them

Hopefully! And it's well deserved, yep, good luck.

Also to people asking about PSASBR and SFxT, go for it. Give MK a try too if you can get it cheap.

To be fair I don't regret getting my vita at all, it's a great device. If there is a price cut I figure it will be down to $200, so if you can get it for $200 already that's a plus. but you have to keep in mind the semi hidden cost of a memory card as the normal systems don't come with one, and the bundles only come with a 4gb card.

If you won't regret it if sony announces a bundle for $200 with a game and memory card at E3 then go for it. I'm just saying wait because currently after you get done with the games you want to play there just isn't much set to come at this time. Hopefully that will change quite a bit this fall as the system is great for so many games.

that being said vita needs as many consoles sold as possible so hope on board the vita train :P

I am STILL not even done with the games I got on LAUNCH. And I already put way, way over 80 hours into Motorstorm RC (probably lowballing it), so its not like I didnt play them.

I'm not saying it's not possible to entertain yourself with what's out, just saying there isn't much to be excited about right now (if you don't own a ps3 there is a bit more to be excited about). I'm sure more games will come, but in general it doesn't hurt to wait for the price to go down until the games you want are actually coming out. I mean i think the only vita game that remotely interests me that is coming is soul sacrifice (and we don't even know an english date) beyond that I don't think I have anything on my radar lol.
