Have been playing Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for 2 hours, just started the Big Shell. And even though I have completed the games before, this is something else! I rather play these games on a 5" OLED handheld than on my 46" HDTV. Love it!

Yeah, it makes all my other devices with lcd screens look like crap. I need an oled tv and an oled tablet lol.

The same bro...

The same (^___^)

Guys, I think it could be fun if we submitted our own personal top 5 list of favorite PS Vita games in the thread, and we can always update them as we get new titles. Please set it up in the same format as I have done beneath - it's not necessary but it would be cohesive. Thank you. :)

1. Uncharted: Golden Abyss
It was one of the first games I played on the PlayStation Vita and it absolutely blew me away. Yeah, the image quality is really poor with a lot of jaggies which were actually a let down and not something you can ignore but the rest of the tech is astounding and to this day, it's still one of the most beautiful and striking games on a handheld. In fact, it's one of my favorite Uncharted games overall, as it's closer to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune than its successors. It's more about an immersive experience on a single Island than epic sequences the world over. It also cleverly utilizes the unique Vita control inputs. Use the touchscreen to scratch stuff off some paper to reveal clues, use the pad on the back to zoom your sniper and even hold up the Vita to a light source (thanks to the backward camera) to reveal secrets. It may start off slow but I like it and it gets more intense toward the end. Best game on PlayStation Vita.

2. Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection
Metal Gear Solid is my favorite game of all time but the sequels that make up the trilogy are equally fantastic. I had completed them before on PS2 and had since reviewed the Xbox 360 version but that didn't keep me from also getting it for Vita. Since I held some of Nintendo's elder handhelds I have always dreamt of a portable Metal Gear that would play just like the originale Metal Gear Solid and what's better than Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater themselves? The experience has so far surpassed my expectations. I'm only 2 hours into MGS2 but it's already a more enjoyable experience than on Xbox 360 and I can't wait to start MGS3. The implementation of the touchscreen for changing gear and weapons is perfect, while the use of the pad on the back is also very well implemented. This will remain one of the absolute best titles for the format throughout the year, no doubt.

3. Unit 13
Zipper Interactive kind of took be my surprise. It doesn't have competitive multiplayer or even that much of a story but it still makes you come back for more, and "take one more mission". The missions are mostly short and also varied with small objectives thrown into them and perfect for either play at home or shot bursts on your trip. Unit 13 still has the best controls and aiming system for any shooter on PlayStation Vita and incorporates eminent stealth, where you will have to plan your route through the maps and keep an eye on the guard patrolling.

4. WipEout 2048
I honestly don't remember much as I only played the review copy at and around launch but I do remember being amazed at the graphical power of this title and really stun me in a good way. It's lightning fast and there's a whole lot of effects and visuals going on. A lot of meat on the singleplayer campaign and it even had online multiplayer at launch and added Fury DLC content which let's you play against PlayStation 3 players! To me, this is still the best racing game on the platform, it's almost complete.

5. MotorStorm RC
It's not that I think this game deserves to be in a top 5 but this were better than the other remaining titles I have been playing. It's no epic race as the trilogy on the home console but Evolution translated the formular very well to a handheld with its RC cars and easily accessible events and races. It's just pure fun to drive around and sometimes it feels like you're actually control a RC car with the control set-up. There's no competitive online multiplayer which is a HUGE lack but it lets you race against ghosts, also those on PS3. It also have problems with the sudden difficulty raise toward the middle of the campaign but it can addicting at times, even with long loading times.

Bear in mind I got PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale on the way, while I'm gonna go get Lumines: Electronic Symphony, Persona 4: Golden and Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time soon. I also haven't played Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, Rayman Origins or even Gravity Rush yet.

So what is everyone playing?

Spurts of Jet Set Radio, Killzone Liberation, and Black Ops Declassified (I know... but it was free)

Also some heavy PS All Stars online

I have Gravity Rush and Wipeout lurking on my other 4GB card

Too many games on Vita to look forward too but it looks like my eye is on:

-God Eater Burst
-Sonic Racing Transformed
-SF X T (ehhh)
-Powerstone Collection (omg I wish this was online...)
- A full playthrough of the MGS series starting with MGS on PS1 then MGS HD Collection

I have my hands full, literally

Top 5 Vita games
gravity-rush-20111115014637557-3559851_640w-610x345.jpg

[1]Gravity Rush
The game is a sublim example of unique gameplay and ideas. It look amazingly, the story telling is great, the characters are fun, and Kat feel like a person more than a girl.
RO_VITA_GC_GhostMode_Desert--article_image.jpg

[2]Rayman Origins
Amazing Fast Platformer who look amazing and is surprisingly long to finish. The music is awesome and the Vita screen really make the game stand out. And the touch screen interaction with the bubbles is pretty great.
uncharted-golden-abyss-473584.jpg

[3]Uncharted : Golden Abyss
Having only played Uncharted 1, I would say its more of the same, but with really porly implemented scratching "puzzle" that do not really had much to the game play. The gun play is fine and the background look amazing and detailled.
DHA-PSVITA-031-580x328.jpg

[4]Dungeon Hunter Alliance
The game itself is great. Only Dungeon crawler on the Vita, its nor really a good one, but the gameplay is solid and the loot is limited. A lot of skills to get for each classes too.
psv-game-5801-ssm3.jpg

[5]Unit 13
A Cover FPS who push a stealth approach more than a gun blazing approach but easy in both. 40 missions with different modes (Time, Limited life and no checkpoint, Normal actions) gives the game some frustrating moments but is pretty easy to play and beat each levels, since the AI is pretty stupid.

Runners Up :
Touch my Katamari : Would have been great, if the game was not 1h31 to beat. I realize that its a Score game, but as somebody who is not a score guy, the game was too short to be worth the 30$

Modnation Racers : Roadtrip :The game itself would be great, if there was not cheap items, and a insane amount of slingshot effect. The last rounds were more annoying than anything because you keep getting hit by objects and the race himself move and have traps everywhere. Its not really about skill than actual luck.

Playing through Uncharted:GA right now, almost done and will be happy to finish the game and be done with it. Dual analog shooting ( I had never played an Uncharted game before-was surprised there was so much shooting ) and overuse of clumsy gimmick controls don't sit well with me given my longstanding mouse/keyboard heritage.

Going to start playing through the AC: Liberation I got w/ my Amazon bundle next-Tom Chick and I operate on the same wavelength 95% of the time and he really liked the game.

playing right now

Marvel Vs Capcom 3
Gravity Rush
Aqua Kitty
Mega Man 4 (psOne store version)

Also bought Vandal hearths since I've heard so many good things. Looking forward to getting enough time to actually play it.

Unfortunately, this is of no use to me. I have no PS3, it's not directed toward Vita use.

How so? You can buy Vita games, renew your PS+ etc? Sure you can't auto-download, but you can't do that on PS3 yet either. Saves getting your Vita out, lets you buy games at work etc.

I must admit, I think I am looking forward to this game on the Vita the most despite it might not ever come to NA. This game looked pretty good. Has there been any announcements about what regions besides Japan is getting it?
Yeah, I'm starting to get excited for it after that gameplay. I don't think it's very likely it will come out of Japan, but I dunno. I know XSEED is apparently going to announce a few games sometime this month, so maybe we'll get lucky?

Now I just gotta decide if I want to shell out(quite a bit) extra for the NyuNyu edition or not since I slacked off on getting it cheap.

I just played the demo of Lumines: Electronic Symphony again and it's just as majestic as the original from PSP. But it cost $53 here but I found it for $25 on Amazon UK, so I'm really thinking of getting it.

I stand corrected, as the story only made mention of PS3.

This will only be of any use to me if:

I can buy a PS1 game (which is not in the Vita store front, but compatible through PS3 transfer), install from the computer (content manager) onto my Vita. Thereby being able to bypass the need for a PS3, which I don't own.

LMAO @ Wake-up club trophies, they expect all 12 members to wake up at the same time for one, really?

*pass*

Have any recommended sites for importing? All my importing has been done through Amazon.

What? Its the whole point of the "game" to wake yourself and your teammate? How waking 11 other people hard? They set an alarm to wake up at 8. I suppose they will try to wake up at 8 for a reason. Why would that be hard for 12 people to wake up at the time they wanted to wake up?

The Ikki Tousen PS2 game (a 3D brawler with similar... damage mechanics) also produced by Marvelous was actually licensed for NA release, but ended up not coming out due the publisher not thinking it was viable when it got an M rating. They didn't have the option of doing a download only release though, that would probably have made things easier.

NPD numbers are up, I'm glad WiiU is helping take some attention from the Vita. Not because I don't like WiiU, but because I'm tired of seeing the Vita smeared in everyone's vitriol flavored shit.

You will get that trophy your first wake-up or so.

Only if everyone sets it to a minute later at launch, and that's only if you get like-minded people. Given the random people in your "club" nature it's just going to be a headache to get that with "on-time." Most people are either going to be early or late.

What ? People just have to press the button. So unless you get a guy who died, who is straight up passed off or woke up before the time and went out without setting his alarm off, then you dont have problems. Might get unlucky one or two time, but that's it.

I need to pick this up. Really fancy that OLED nostalgia trip!
Can't decide whether to go for Japanese retail or download from EU store...

Or someone that tries the app and drops it? Or someone that is purposely late? Or...

if you could do it among your friends list, it'd be less "luck." I don't trust randoms in ANYTHING.

I am kind of surprised I see two mentions for Unit 13. Is it actually good? Also, Dungeon Hunter Alliance. Is it worth it? I am dying for a good dungeon crawler rpg for ps3-vita.

Unit 13 is great, one of my favorite games on the Vita.

Dungeon Hunter is 99 cents on the PS3 this week, it's worth that at least.
