"'Kill the pig! Cut his throat! Kill the pig! Bash him in!'"

too much?

(note: this is from lord of the flies - great book!)

Hello Vita-friends. Recently bought a Vita partly due to lurking Gaf threads, so thanks for that :). Got a great deal with a 32GB card. Hardware is awesome apart from the back touch. The dpad is particularly clicky, which is great. Finding tons of games I want to play — it's great for niche games!

Speaking of, I broke down and imported DJ MAX Technika Tune today, hopefully it'll slip through customs, otherwise it'll be an expensive game, hehe.

Need to start making dents into my games, so far I have:

Breakquest
Canabalt
Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - HD Edition
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - HD Edition
Uno (=])
Velocity
Wizorb

As well as all PSplus games.

Was thinking of getting Sumioni today, partly to support XSEED, but:

Availability: Not available in Australia, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Kuwait, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Qatar, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE

Same for Orgarhythm :/. Can't get Youtube or PS Mobile either, what the hell Sony?

Ah well, off to continue MGS2.

Also, before I forget; the multiplayer in P4G is probably the best implementation I have ever seen. Simple, stylish, functional. I hope more devs learn from this; it's exactly the kind of online functionality you want in a handheld game.

Yeah, it's quite clever and actually really functional. Now I know which Social Links are available for the day without having to venture all over town.

I want Persona 3 Golden (or Ultimate or Platinum or whatever) so freaking much ;_;

I'm addicted to New Little King's Story, sooo good.

one of my next pick ups! looking forward. jsut hate that its DD only. great game for thsoe interested in SP rather than multi.

congrats on the pick up... its really underrated system that's worthy of as many peoples attention as possible. glad to hear you're happy with it so far.

The thought bubbles are really smartly integrated. The real problem is the SOS function. It'd be better if sending and receiving SOS signals were less obtuse and didn't kill the pacing of dungeon crawling so much.

The whole UI elements to the online components are really jarring, as well. They don't mesh with the design of the rest of the GUI at all.

To be more on topic, I picked up my Vita around the summer with a free sixteen gigabyte memory card and Gravity Rush. I've got around eight games for it (not including Grandia and P3P) and I really haven't regretted it. I was more or less expecting buyer's remorse to set in eventually, but I've had a ton of fun with this thing so far. Gives me a lot to do on my commute.

I think the sos would be better if it was just an in general, turn it on and it stays on until you turn it off thing.

I wouldn't mind sending support to people repeatedly, but it's annoying to wait the second or two for the sos to activate after every battle just to offer people support, especially since I don't need support myself.

So I finally got myself Virtue's Last Reward.

I quick check of the game saw me lose two and a half hours. What an engrossing game, loving it so far. Puzzles are just the right side of challenging. Story is engaging too, characters are class too.

Can't wait for the boy to go to sleep, so I can go further.

FOR FUCKS SAKE DONT SAY THAT....Ive been on the verge all week, I dont need a bigger backlog!

seriously - anyone who hasnt played LKS on the wii, should play it on vita... its still at 40ish though right? i think it's worth it for 40.

but if funds are limited or backlog huge (when isn't it?) then wait. But know that any sale on this game makes it worthwhile. a fun, long game that i've heard is pikmin-esque in gameplay ( i cant comment since ive never played a pikmin, but really this games style and art appeal much more than pikmin anyhow...)

So I'm curious. I'm using a free PSN Plus month right now Sony was kind enough to gift through a Facebook thing, and I'm really enjoying Big Sky Infinite, but when the month will be over obviously I will lose the ability to play it. I was wondering, will I be able to buy it then? IIRC you can download redeemed games when your PSN+ expires, it's just that you can't launch them. How would I be able to buy it then?

Oh, also if some of you vitabros plays or played Big Sky Infinite, would you mind adding me to your friends list? I really need scores I will never be able to beat. ID is feipsn.

is the soundtrack any better in the vita version of LKS? I stopped playing LKS on the wii because the stock songs drove me crazy... Pomp and Circumstance doesn't make a good title song for me, all it does is bring up bad memories lol

Keep getting a crash bug in motorstorm on the last race of pacific rim (supercar hot lap). Trying a restart to see if that helps

Nope, didn't help. Get error C2-12828-1 every time now. What do I do now? That was the last race to complete all the pacific rift races, and only three away from finishing the entire festival :(

Tried deleting the game and redownload ing, then restoring my save game. No good. I did the other races so now I only have *one* medal to get in one race, but it crashes when I play it.

Help?

If I play on Ps3 (so it syncs my times and progress), could I delete the game on vita and start over with a new game, and it'd sync from PS3? That would at least delete the save game which might be a problem.

man this looks tasty :-p[/QUOTE]

I wonder if it even remotely looks like that still... it's been so long since we last saw it things could have changed greatly, especially with the females that they refuse to put pictures of on the official american site :P

Nay, apparently. It has been out in the US for some time anyway, you'll find (bad) reviews around.

Yeah I saw those. But the art style looks interesting and I wanted to get impressions from people in this thread. Besides I'm torn because it's one of the first XSeed published games here and I'd like to support them since that could mean more future releases from them in the EU.

I have played it but honestly I doubt youd find much challenge beating my scores :lol. I actually have played classic mode almost exclusively.

You can buy it once your plus expires but not before. Some people are angry cause you could miss a sale because of it.

As someone who never got it on the Wii, you're tempting me when I get paid this week. I'll probably end up picking up VLR and finally getting a damn HSG online pass so I can play with you bros.

I'd consider it this week in US, but they only dropped the price to $14.99. Still too much. I might've given it a shot at $9.99.

I want Little King Story, but I can't spend $40 on it. Waiting for a sale that may or may not come, since the only sales that seem to happen are Atlus and first-party...

Can anyone explain to me how Plus works? I've been really tempted to buy membership, but I'm not sure how the 'free games' work. Do you only receive those free games if you had a subscription before they're made free or are they added retroactively?

Only as they're added, and you can only play them until your membership expires.

Yeah, you get whichever games are on the subscription at the current time. You can download stuff that's 'expired' by putting it in your download list as and when it arrives on the subscription, so that if you ever leave and want to come back, you can download the old stuff again.

It's a great scheme and value for money is excellent overall

The free games show up as free in the shop and you have to explicitly check them out as if purchasing them in order to gain access to them. Games downloaded in this manner will function as long as your membership is active.

Here is a ?:

You have +, download a game which is free. + lapses, you do not want to renew. You still have the game, but cannot access it. So you decide to purchase said game, can you? Do you just reaccess the game? Do you redownload the game? Or is it just unlocked as if you'd owned it all along?

I think it's the last one, but can't say from personal experience.
Basically, there's a "license" period on all "plus" freebies (games).
If it expires, you have to redownload them after renewal to get the license info to update, I think.

It makes sense that if you purchase it, it just becomes owned, not licensed.

you pick up samurai beatown yet :P?

This is the most positive info I've heard on the game since I've bought a Vita and I've been asking since then if anyone has played it! See $40 for a game like that is fine....for a game like EDF, not so much.

I'm addicted to New Little King's Story, sooo good.

I was too - it's why I went for and got the platinum :) Wish more people would give it a chance, $40 is a steep price but it's sooo good. Whenever I can play my vita again I really want to get DJMAX and Sonic Racing.. so many games I want though :\

I asked the same thing in this very same page :P
And yeah, apparently you can but you have to wait for the subscription to expire. I guess you don't have to download the game again, just the licence (usually a few kb) since it's the file that enables the game for your psn account.

They figured out how to update the banner in the PSMobile store, I'll be damned ...

Vita saved.

So what's the next big release?

Sly i think....tbh i have no idea what other game whether mini, mobile, psn, or retail is coming out aside from that in the rest of Jan/Feb..... theres Soul Sacrifice in JP in march....

granted i'm referring to NA right now.... EU may be getting like EDF and other games late as usual....

the vita just makes me want to build a psn game....
