A nearby game store has SH: Book of Memories on sale and I was wondering if it had any redeeming qualities. I'm not the hugest Silent Hill fan (I like the games, but don't have the guts to actually play them), so the lack or a horror game feel isn't a deal breaker for me.

Just played the demo and had't they called it Silent Hill it probably would have gotten an "it's OK" reception rather than being totally bashed. But it isn't great for sure.

Edit for top of page: As I am playing Resistance Retribution I can only recommend it to any Resistance fan who was disappointed with Burning Skies. Unbelievable what effects they milked out of the PSP.

AC3L is one of the worst games on Vita, because of one thing alone: the Personas system. Basically you get all the cool, assassination shit taken away from you because you have to go as a lady for half of the game's events, in which you can't respectably fight or even CLIMB. And being an Assassin sucks as well because they're ALWAYS going to be noticed faster by guards, and slave just isn't even worth the effort because it's a piss-poor combination of the two. It takes away from the actual, you know, FUCKING ASSASSINATING PEOPLE. GODDAMNIT is this hard to understand, WE PLAY A GAME CALLED ASSASSIN'S CREED TO BE AN ASSASSIN!

I'm not even talking about the Risk-without-it's-balls multiplayer or the tedious-as-hell ship trading game.

Seems like Sly 4 will be around 30€, although I'm sure they'll be 50€ in Finland. Actually 1€ = $1 is probably the best way to compare game prices.

Actually knowing Finnish online auctions, I'd be able to turn the game into profit somehow, because everyone just sells their used games for around the RSP of a new one.

Hmm I was also a bit pissed that assassins persona always had level 1 notoriety. Lady was laughable and not to mention the thugs that grabbed to mug her. And when u attacked them the guards standing nearby would attack you #^*@#^*@^#*(@&@#

I don't understand how having a higher player count can cause a framerate drop. It's just a couple of extra models here and there.

and didn't Nishlistic said that higher number of multiplayers were possible but were kept low due to budget and voice chat 8 member limitation. So 8X8 makes sense. 8 members on each side can also make use of party feature to voice chat!

None spring to mind for me. Wii U and 3DS however most 1st party titles expecting in 2013 will probably be a safe shout the way Nintendo are going at the moment. I was expecting Luigi's Mansion well over a year ago now!

I think a price drop for Vita will do far more to boost it's prospects than most people expect. Amazon etc sold out of their discounted stock very quickly on black friday. I understand Amazon had to oraganise additional stock with Sony for their black friday sale it was so successful. Imagine that sort of impact in stores where I think most hardware is still sold.

Bought Corpse Party and I am not impressed at all.

Died from the first enemy encounter about 4 times now.
I know what you are supposed to do but the inaccurate controls and the fact that you have almost no room to maneuver make it almost impossible.

Then when it kills you, you have to slog through 5 minutes of text to try again.

I think I wasted my money.

Looks like today's zeitgeist is shit on Vita, so this'll be my only post for the day.

Anyone have some serious issues with sonic all stars when it comes to water? Half the time my boat flips when I land a jump, it's incredibly annoying. Granted there is very few characters that do this but it's really annoying while trying to level every character up while completing the world tour. It's by far the worse when playing as beat, but others do it as well.

I've experienced this as well, in both the console and handheld versions. It seems to be something with the physics engine and water impact. Amy experiences it quit often. You really have to watch your boat's orientation when you hit the water.

You paint everyone on that dev team as "to blame for their bad judgement" in making a game that's "janky", "gimmicky" "tedious", and "hilariously ill-designed". That's just not fair to those people.

I'll be honest Vita does not seem very strong here in the UK.

Most shops have practically no shelf space for it and very few second hand games.
3DS has loads and loads by comparison.

Also I don't know anybody else who owns one except me. Hardly means much I suppose, but I at least know quite a few people with 3DS'.

It kinda feels like I'm a member of some exclusive club that nobody knows about.

There is a semi alternate ending, certain extra scenes and a bonus dungeon tied to maxing specific social links in golden. If you're not striving to do everything possible ( make all the personas) and see every side story there's nothing wrong with not having all the links maxed out by the end of the game. I didn't do everyone my first time, just the people I was most interested in and the person necessary for bonus dungeon. I want to do an everyone maxed run for new game + because I am curious about the stories I didn't see the first time around.

I will probably do the same at some point. An extra dungeon sounds tempting. And it should be a lot easier to max everything with all of the characteristics maxed out from the get go.

Though I am going to cheat probably and increase the amount of money and experience gained from each battle.

I won't be buying a next-gen console this time around so my "console" fix will only be a Vita. If they kill it, then I'm out of the loop for good. That's the only way they will keep me on the console side from now on.
