That reminds me...has there been any update about multiple accounts or something? Some way of having all region Vita content on one account's trophy list ultimately.
I'd want to hear this asked the right way to Shuhei Yoshida (yosp on Twitter as you all know) and hear the "official" current response.
Somehow I have a sneaking feeling SCEJ wants it this way, that they don't want their content being accessed by out-of-Japan territories as the ultimate reason. The update that further gimped account switching just may prove that.
US, EU and JP all have exclusive games and apps now. It's getting out of hand. Every other week it seems there's a piece of content that's only available in one region. It's no longer just East and West. Each region branch of SCE is divided and now we're feeling their lack of communication the hard way.
Come on now.
I was never one to sit there and beg for content that's been available in another region for months. I'd do the smart thing and import (physically and "digitally") what I crave that wasn't available in my region. And that was a lot. I don't care about each SCE region branch stressing out and releasing in all regions. Let them do what they do for the release schedules and lack of worldwide releases, but
let me access the content.
I was fine with how it was on PS3 because I could access everything. But now we can't access things if it's not our region.
And that's another thing. DLC. It's not just games and apps we have no way of utilizing on our main account. Soul Sacrifice is a Japanese developed game. How do you know they won't be nice and give DLC to Japan that won't be released in US or EU?
There's games like Ragnarok Odyssey and Orgarhythm that have DLC that's in the Japan PS Store but will never be coming to US or EU.
Same for the upcoming Let's Fish: Hooked On (Let's Try Bass Fishing FISH ON NEXT in Japan). Lots of DLC released for Japan but either no plans or never coming for the US and EU releases.
So what, we just sit here and miss out on content?
And about the code thing. Let me guess, you ordered from Play-Asia? They used to be almost instant with the codes, but now there's a 1-2 week wait time whenever I look.
I recommend
www.japan-codes.com
Code emailed within hours or less.
The other alternative is Ebay sellers, but you need to know which ones will send code via email and not physically ship them. If you want to wait awhile for it to ship from Asia and want the code cards to add to your collection of goods, then by all means though.
