Oh shit I just realized you can navigate the store with buttons now! PRAISE THE LORD

you are too late to the party.

anyway they need to make us "unlock" the system without touching the screen and my poor screen will be happy(it's the only thing OS-wise that require touching now)

Definitely. It's odd to me that they don't do that. Especially when the already have circle assigned to the peeling motion on apps.

I picked up Lumines like every other Vita owner has at some point. Never played it before and I was wondering, what are you supposed to do with those diagonally aligned blocks? They guaranteed fuck me up every time

Best I've done on Voyage so far is the beginning of the second track :(

The best thing (in my experience) is to try and cluster them together. They form a grid of 2x2s that way.

I've never played a Lumines game on Vita or anywhere else. I don't even know what it looks like :(

I'm an expert on Lumines. I have hundreds of hours of experience in 2 and Electronic Symphony and until that exploit was found that let you max out your score I was in the top 100 on the ES scoreboard.

The best thing you need to do is learn what blocks can apply to what situation. Best way to do THAT is experience. So basically play it a lot. Sorry.

Having difficulty putting it into words, but I usually do something like exactly where this block is heading (a better position would be a bit to the left where the 3 blue blocks are):

luminesiiv21.jpg

Drop it so one half of the block falls down and it makes two lines (in this case it will become 2 blue blocks on the bottom, and 2 white above) with a single block on top so they can easily be cleared with future blocks.

Obviously this isn't a catch all, and you can do many different things depending on what's on the board. Just keep playing and experimenting, it will eventually become second nature.

gave the game to my co worker(with Virtue's Last Reward)I can barely even remember how awesome it was..it's like a vogue colorless memory to me now.. :(

Hey guys, I bought a Vita a few days ago and so far it's been great. I've got Gravity Rush, Hot Shot Golf, Wipeout and DJ Max.

Can I trasnfer my Vita games from the Vita to the Ps3 or PC for storage? I'm already running out of space with the 16gb memory card and it'd be a pain to redownload them with my horrible internet connection.

In case you guys haven't heard (news is two days late, but whatever), the Official Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus website is up (for regions other then Japan), and the NA release date is Feb 26th.

color me excited!

one of the few who loved NGS+ on launch, found it way above mediocre - despite its supposed 30fps detriment. will definitely be adding this sequel on 2/26.

want sine mora really badly, after playing the demo. spellbindlingly beautiful witchcraft, on display right there.

So AC3:L was ummmm......interesting lol. I loved the game but the story, oh man the story is so hard to follow. I like the concept that the game is actually a piece of Abstergo propaganda, but things are not well explained.

Also is Connor's voice that bad in his game? loved Aveline's voice work though. All in all a great game that had a crazy story and some finicky combat moments and really strange and annoying 100% goals.

Congrats.

buy Persona 4 Golden.

yes you can, using content manager...backup option.

to use on PC download it from here http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psvita/cm/installcma.html

Conner voice is bad everywhere. (game got low quality audio track for some unknown reasons, the lowest quality one on Vita so far)

I'll buy NGS2+ if they get rid of that horrible "feature" that forces the game into first-person if you tap the screen.

Can't count how many times I was my ass kicked in the middle of a big battle because my thumb accidentally touched the corner of the screen and stopped my character in his tracks :-\

I got used to holding my hands in a way that would prevent me from accidentally touching the screen. Carried over to other games too so my Vita experience as a whole became less annoying.

Also, I'm willing to bet that Ayane's new costume (or one of her new costumes) will be based off of Razor's Edge, like Rye's Grip of Murder costume in Sigma Plus.

The story jumps all over the place, even more than it does in AC3. One moment I'm a kid, the next I'm freeing a slave as an adult, and the next I have to meet my master Agate. Who the fuck is Agate and how did I become an assassin? I mean I know who he is but they just spring all of that on you. It's really bad storytelling.

Also, last mention for the US PSN secret Santa before I am off to bed:

I'm actually wondering what I should do for the NGS2+ OT.
I could just present the information, or I could try focusing on the fact that this is a port of Hayashi's NG2 at 30fps and be all snarky.

I'm also trying to figure out the subtitle, but suggestions are welcome. :b

just make it for Itakagi x Hayashi fans to fight so we can have this thread save.

here is the thread-jutsu.

Shitakagi vs Hayashit who is better, are you a ninja dog or a stairs slow-mo master ninja?

thank me later :P

I posted on the P4G forums, but I think this thread is more appropriate for this problem.

I just backed up my P4G to my PC, but I noticed that my previous backups were missing! I knew I shouldn't trust WiFi backups! Now all my downloaded games, including P3P AND 56 HOURS WORTH OF PLAYTIME disappeared :(

I plan on reformatting my card on 12/20 to try out Soul Sacrifice on the JP PSN. I did not see the option to backup my P4G saves to my PC. Is it safe to assume that copying P4G over to my computer includes all the save files? My P4G was downloaded from PSN.

Sorry to hear that. :(

with backing up the game you backup the saves with it too.

there is no option in content manager to backup just the saves. it's really fucking stupid and annoying move from Sony. it's bat shit insane if you ask me.

however you can still get your saves manually(not ideal and Sony should fix this crap)

Perhaps you should wait until we've seen some facts. If they took even a cursory glance at the feedback from the first game, you'd have to think they'll try for 60fps if they think it's even remotely possible. NGS+ played damn smooth for a handheld version of such a capable PS3 game; it's an excellent port considering it was their first Vita game.

NG2 has significant changes just between 360/PS3 thanks to their efforts in tailoring to specific hardware; with more Vita experience now, there's bound to be improvements in NGS2+. While i still think 60fps is a long shot of course, i'm certain we can expect a smooth, solid game regardless.

So how about "NGS2+ OT - It's on a handheld, dammit!"

Fixed that for you.

If the game is 60FPS and fixes the co-op missions (and removes the achievements tied to them) I'd maybe buy it. But I hate no hopes from Hayashit. At least Team DOA is still solid and DOA5+ (hopefully) won't be shit since DOA5 (barebones and all, granted) is damn solid for a post-Itagaki DOA.

Also unless the blood/gore is added back I suggest "NGS2+ |OT| PSP2 has no gore" to get around Toto's joke in the OP bit.

Well, it's later explained that Agate
saves you as a kid from the slave traders you stumble across
but the REALLY bad story jump is how the big bad
is in "your backyard"/house the whole while and is just playing you for a fool to eliminate her Templar order for... whatever... reasons that aren't really mentioned and to get the Piece of Eden you find but she doesn't know about until later!

Even the Erudito cuts don't really help. And the whole "product of Abstergo Entertainment" advertising of the Animus/portable Animus episode(s) doesn't really do it favors because if that's the case: Animus techs Data Dump System'd (Facebook game) Aveline's ancestor's memories really badly.

This week. They never tell us more than a day in advance what's coming for any given week in regards to anything really, in the US.

I worded it weird but I was referring to the fact we probably won't get as many deals with vita as with ps3.

I don't own many vita games so pretty much anything is gonna make me happy, though I don't want another fighters unless its MKvita

Random question:

I have PS+ and redeemed the Vita content through the PS3 store. Will I have to use the PS3 in any way to get said games on the Vita?

No, go into the download list in the PSN store on the hardware itself or find it in the store itself and download it there.

I'll gladly take any game I own and haven't finished/sold. MK, BBCSE, Unit 13, MGS HD is pretty much the extent of that though. The good news is there's not a lot of fighters to give really, so you're probably in luck... unless we get reality fighters (which we will).

No. On Vita go to the PS Store, click the ellipses in the bottom right, select download list, then download to your heart's content.

Toma, I might be down for Secret Santa, though I'm a bit gunshy when it comes to these things. Let me see what kind of list i can put together and stuff in the morning.

I have Persona 4 Golden: Solid Gold Edition still sealed, sitting there just staring at me. I cannot bring myself to open it, the only jrpg I ever enjoyed was Dragon Quest 8. I really only bought this for the collector's sake, but I feel like I'm missing out. Are there any games out there with similar gameplay to P4G? I played Nocturne years ago, not sure if thats at all like a Persona game.

Persona 3 Portable perhaps?

if I remember it right, Nocturne also have that exploiting elemental weakness to get extra turn in battle, which is the same with Persona 4 combat. they also use similar naming convention like Agi for fire, Garu for wind etc.

so combat seems kinda similar, but you have 3 other character as your main character with their own fixed demon, only the main character can switch demon like in pokemon

game structure is very different though. there's a live simulation aspect to it, go to school, work part time, hang out with friends, as you strengthen your friendship and bond with various people in this live sim aspect the game, it will let you make stronger demon for your rpg dungeon and combat gameplay.

edit: have you ever played Azure Dreams for ps1? that game is half dating sim and half dungeon crawler. combat is very different, but game structure is a bit similar I guess

NGS+2: Less frames than The Hobbit but 6 more than every other movie

Haha, that's cute.
I'll consider that.

A winning thread formula for sure.

Yeah, a solid game is definitely in the cards, but (and I dislike repeating myself) considering how much better NGS2+ seems to look in comparison to NGS+, I'm doubting it. Unless it doesn't run at native res, which that was one of the things I loved about NGS+ - native res (98% of the time at least) and a solid framerate.
But maybe I'm more lenient toward handheld titles, since the hardware is weaker.

Fixed that for you.

Blood is basically confirmed in the website's marketing tagline and screens. "More Speed, More Beauty, More Blood". But I still have yet to see a screen/clip of a limb being severed, so for all we know mist could still be in but blood is just more prominent.

"NGS2+ |OT| Vita has no frames" maybe. :b

Persona is a dating sim? I was wondering why a friend sent me a screenshot of one of the characters asking another to go out with them, on my twitter. Now I really have no interest in this game =/

I've been hooked on NFS Most Wanted, but it's a racing game, so the appeal lasts for only so long. Maybe I'll rebuy Unit 13, I did enjoy it a lot from what I played.

It's not a dating sim—it has elements that some might classify as that. You have the ability to create and foster "social links" with characters both male and female, and through those events, learn more about the characters' personalities. As your relationships grow, so too do your ability connected with the tarot arcana that that character represents.

It's one of many parts of Persona 3/4. It isn't main experience of the game, but it's one of the main experiences, and if you were to try to avoid them, you'd be missing out on a lot.
