Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

While browsing YouTube, I found a video advertising how to download Killzone Mercenary. Being quite familiar with the project I was somewhat surprised at this :P Anyway, looks like they are scammers offering 'free' vita game downloads - so please be wary.

Judging by the video comments (which were mostly fake) at least one person was taken in - lost money and gained malware.

So, if you see a site offering Vita game downloads - it's likely a scam.

Fuck the vertical line on my vita appear more and more often and they tend to not go away :/ This time it stayed no matter what I did, but it disappeared once I turned off the screen.

I think I'm going to send it back to Amazon once I finish P4G to receive another one :/

Motorstorm RC is WAY EASIER if you set accelerate to the X button. Dear GOD why is this not the default? It's definitely attainable and not as frustrating as I thought. I'm about halfway through the main game's trophy list and I haven't even been playing for that long so.

The main reason why I'm suggesting it in this thread is because the trophy thread always dies+gets buried.

I like the right stick for accelerate and brake. I'm not getting fast times, but it feels like I'm controlling an RC car more.

Vita games can't be pirated right now, and even if they were you couldn't pirate a game that doesn't even have a release date lol.

That's a constant nuisance on Youtube. Since I do news for a site covering PS Mobile, I scan youtube a couple times a day for "PS Mobile" and "Playstation Mobile" hoping to find footage of upcoming games. Rarely is there a video of that (most small devs don't seem to grasp the concept of publicity), but there are always several scams - fake downloads, fake PSN card generators ("not a scam or virus", they always swear), and a half-dozen sites re-uploading trailers.

They made it harder to flag stuff as spam or scams, too, with the latest design.
 
Finally got all the mutant blobs trophies - feels bad getting the escape pods one :( sorry earthlings.

Was as much fun as playing through the first time. Now onto something else. Maybe time to finally start gravity rush

Finally sorted out the issue of getting US PSN vouchers. So now when I switch to my US Account in about a week, you won't see me online for a few months! Well not on Vita anyway
 
Will leave the meat of this for the Gravity Rush thread, but just wanted to say here (for posterities sake), Platinum'd it earlier, and now, right before the year is over, 100% complete on all DLC, FINALLY!

Maybe it's time to attack Dokuro... or maybe Retro City Rampage... Really wanna see if it gets as annoying further in as many make it sound...

Here's some interesting stats from Carl's 2012 gaming that i thought i'd share :P

- Trophies earned in 2012: 627 bronze, 250 silver, 90 gold, 21 platinum
- Amount spent on PSN this year: £724.28 (slightly lower than the £752 spent in 2011.)
- 26 full Vita games bought in 2012 (Vita has no games, etc), not including any PSOne, PSP, minis, PSM games etc.
- ~£283.88 just on Vita stuff on PSN this year (again not including any PSOne/PSP/Mini/PSM games i bought to play on Vita).

Wait, are you working on KZ: Mercenary?
 
Alright after putting some more time into Unit 13 last night before I went to bed I'm not so sure if I like it. I think it's a bit too much on the arcade style side for me. Like the few missions I did, which were admittedly at the very start, each room only has a couple of guards and they're really easy to get rid of and then you click on your objective and move to the next room. There's really nothing else to do in the game so far.

I'm surprised people aren't just incredibly satisfied with the fact that Killzone Vita is still actually in development. I had my doubts.

Haha, you know, I actually thought about it... especially with your thread:) Though I feel if I attack and RPG, it should probably be to finish my first run of Growlanser... Like 13 battles from the end or so, and I REALLY enjoyed it all, but all these end of year games and Sales! (O.o)

I'll check out the Alundra thread though, it might help sway influence to it's side!

Well, I'd consider it as much of an Action RPG as the Ys games... and the time commitment is similiar.

It's like my 3rd or 4th attempt at playing through the game, since the release days, yet playing it still feels fresh and new for me.

Hm, is it possible to cloud-save PS1 game saves, and have them synch? Being able to play it on Vita and PS3 when convenient would be nice..
 
Me again xD On Uncharted Golden Abyss, I beat the game on normal and then started a new save on Hard. But I noticed my treasures haven't carried over =S Do I have to make a new game overwritting my normal save or do I have to go to chapter select on that save and start chapter one on hard difficulty and go through the game?

Haha, always some barrier! Before PSV+ was started, I tried copying my file to the PSForeman Grill Attachment... if that had worked, I might have jumped right back into Alundra! (-_-;)

At least it looks and sounds fantastic on Vita!

As a rule, the Vita version was just for the game itself (since it released cheaper, especially.)

The PS3 version was the only version to include another with it.
