MLB 13: The Show

Swing for the fences with MLB 13 The Show, the 2013 installment of the number-one selling Major League Baseball video game franchise. The PS Vita version of The Show features the same list of upgrades and new features as the PS3 version -- exciting new developments such as a completely new beginner mode, and instructional enhancements that make The Show the best pick-up and play baseball experience available. In addition, the improved Play Now mode streamlines gameplay, for faster and simpler games.

As with last year, you can sync your Season, Franchise and Road to the Show saves between portable and console platforms to continue the action anywhere. MLB The Show also offers the opportunity to play with friends around the world at no extra cost on PlayStation Network.

Dead or Alive 5 Plus

The same great fighter for the PS3, now on your PlayStation Vita! This version is (supposedly) still rockin' the same solid 60FPS gameplay along with Cross Play, Cross Goods and Cross Save support with it's console counterpart!

New Features include:

  • TOUCH FIGHT
Attack your opponents with simple taps and swipes of the touchscreen! Touch Fights are shown in 1st-person perspective, putting you right in the middle of the action for the most intuitive DOA fighting experience yet. Hold your PlayStation®Vita horizontally for a full view of the stage, or vertically to enjoy a close-up view of the characters.
  • TUTORIAL MODE
This new DOA5+ mode makes it easy for anyone to master key moves and strategies by practicing them in real fight situations! Each point covered consists of two parts: the lesson and the mission. In the lesson, you learn the new move or strategy, and practice it against an opponent who reacts with a limited set of moves. In the mission portion, it's time to put what you've learned to the test! The mission is cleared when you've shown you can successfully use the move or strategy a certain number of times in a real fight. Get a solid grounding in the basics, and hone the skills needed to come out on top in any fight situation!
  • MOVE DETAILS PLUS
Three times the details for each move in real-time. Unbelievably detailed information like delay interval frames, move reach and more. A game-changing feature for serious players!
  • BACKGROUND MUSIC
Choose your favorite music to set the tone for each fight.

Legends of War: Patton

It's a historical strategy game based on general Patton.

...Does anyone really care? Edit: Likely cancelled, so no one did!

Steins;Gate
Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling

Steins;Gate is a visual novel about SCIENCE and TIME TRAVEL, but mostly SCIENCE.

Sei Madou Monogatari (Holy Sorcery Stories)

Roguelike by Compile Heart. The protagonist of the game is Pupuru, a student of the Magic Academy who got suspended. Just got my copy today from play-asia. First impressions are that this game should be called DJMAX SEXYTIME because damned if I'm not mucking up my combos as a result of getting distracted by the beautiful babes in the video clips.

Available at the PSN Webstore.

How do I backup/transfer my games and saves to and from my PC/PS3?
For PC:
Follow this guide.
For PS3:
Follow this other guide.

How do I switch accounts on my Vita?
Short Version -
First of all, note that:
1. A system can only be linked to one account at a time
2. A memory card can only be linked to one account at a time

To switch accounts, you must:
1. Restore the PS Vita System (Settings > Format > Restore)
2. Format the memory card (if you only have one) or swap in another memory card (if you have multiple)

Long Version here.

(Thanks to Kazerei and The Grim Heaper!)

What does system update X.0X do?
"Improve system stability", usually, unless noted otherwise.

What is PlayStation Plus? Why should I, as a Vita owner, care about it?
PS Plus is a subscription service that not only gives you access to extra perks to use for your PS Vita, but also grants you an Instant Game Collection of 6 games available to try out for free. These perks include:
-1 GB Cloud Storage for all your PS Vita Game saves (PS1/PSP saves are not allowed).
-Automatic Save uploads to the Cloud, Game Updates and Trophy syncs.
-The same features available for your PlayStation 3 console, only with even more games.

Is Persona 3 Portable as bad as people say it is?
It's not. There are some downgrades, unfortunately, but a lot of the gameplay tweaks make it a greater experience than Persona 3 FES in some aspects, while worse in others.

Great OP as always!
Wow at that Japanese lineup. Hopefully means more sales. Same for the west.

Also, I hope the PS+ free Vita game(s?) is an actual retail game this month.

March 2013 Japan Comes Alive

Here's hoping March is as ripe with announcements for the Vita as February, yes announcements did happen in February.

If the Vita version of DOA actually looks like that, I'll be impressed. I keep looking back at the Mortal Kombat port for the Vita and how awful it looked compared to the console counterpart.

The left screen is taken right from the DOA5+ website. The right one, I'm not as sure about.

If this guy on Japanese equivalent of Craigslist ever gets back to me, I hope to be joining the Vita fold this week... though I guess I could just suck it up and buy a brand new one with a fat memory card now that the price drop is official...

where's the wall of shame for last month? I wouldn't be surprised if the top 5 posted more than the rest of the top 20 :P

Yes, next week's Media Create thread will thank you....lol.

In all seriousness, there are quite a few bundles going down right now in Japan it seems. Problem is finding one.

Do it! Then Sony can rack up another sale and realize the Vita is selling and then decide to put out more games for it.

Hmmm should I get MLB 12 on sale with MLB 13 coming out.

EDIT: I actually read the OP and saw that you could transfer content to PC for backup. I've just been deleting games off my memory stick and then redownloading them when I wanted to play, wasting bandwidth. I am an IDIOT.

Well everywhere I went had stock last week, at the new prices, however I really wanted the one with a 32GB card but it seems that they just dropped the price to clear that version - none of the shopkeepers I spoke to said they had stock in ages and the Sony website lists it as no longer being produced ><
