Presumed to be an accessory slot, but it never got utilised. The 2000 model has removed the slot, so it'll likely never be used at all in the future.
They could have also just moved the accessory functionality to the USB micro port.

Can you even think of an accessory it could utilize now that it has built-in cameras (the only accessory I can recall from PSP days)?
Barcode scanner..
L2 + R2 grip for remote play...
It Would be awesome
How about if it could be mapped as buttons for the back touchpad (L/R) in Vita games as well, and an integrated extended battery?
I figured the game out from the first few trailers and then applying them in a few hours of playing.I understand now why SFxT flopped on all platforms.
The mechanics in it compared to first edition of SFIV are so bloated that you need to read few encyclopedias on the system to play it with understanding on what you are doing.
I just remembered borderlands is coming to the vita lel
Moneyhat a shooter that is better played on the PC? A-ok!
Sit aside and wait for Squeenix to localize Type-0 themselves? Ok in our book!
Seriously Sony, at least you could moneyhatted EA for a Battlefield title
Guys yesterday i finished ZHP....
It's AWESOME! Go buy it now!
What's zhp?
A totally crazy dungeon crawler that makes parodies of japanese superheroes and anime, it's demetial but at the same time it's touching too.
There are lots of customization, you can even upgrade your body, you have your own theme song that varies depending on the equipment!
There are even some unlockable dengeki characters.
Dungeon have different rules too, for example one dungeon is made of little isles and you have to move in speedboat to reach them, in another rooms collapse after a certain amount of turns and so on.
Here's the trailer:

While we are at this, the ZHP designer/director joined if to make a vita exclusive rpg![]()
The same devs are actually making a "spiritual sequel" on the PS3 called The Guided Fate Paradox. I want it :/
VitaGAF, VitaCat, VitaMateys....
Hahaha.

Also for Vita specifically R/L buttons have diffrent travel distance than face buttons which makes timing for PPP or KKK hard or forces you to use backtouch which is also bad.
It has the same gameplay, the same enemies, the same equipment, the same traps etc, but it seems to lack the craziness of zhp imo, and it's not on vita, i don't want to play it on ps3... I'll wait for the vita version or for the zhp director new game![]()

Shit, that game is so crazy that i'll probably like it. It's in EU PSN?
Maybe I missed the link in that thread but why did they leave N1 for again?

Yes, because it's something Nippon Ichi probably wouldn't want shareholders to know at the moment. Especially if it's like half their workforce or something.
It seems there was another post around that time (June 23) giving some reasons for the exodus, but it's from someone with a different User ID on 2ch, so who knows if it's true or if it was someone else riding on the same rumor:
He said that the various subsidiaries formed by Nippon Ichi in 2011 (Studio ToOefuf, Counter Stop, and Nora) were actually meant to be measures taken against paying overtime owed to employees, but because of various problems with the management of the subsidiaries, all the employees were absorbed back into the main company eventually. But when the staff were absorbed back, they were told that because they are considered "new" employees, they will get the same basic pay as new hires, so they all left.
If this is true, Nippon Ichi deserves to go under, but I'm not really inclined to spread it as gospel without any sort of confirmation because it would be incredibly unfair if it's just hearsay.
Edit: There, now you have your "scandal" too, but remember, this is NOT confirmed or substantiated.
It's the Vita ver. that has the 10 second load times, I'm pretty sure.

Completely agree. After I finished the tutorial I barely remembered most of the things it told me. So many things to remember and apply. It's insane. I fucking hate the complexity = depth mentality that so many developers of fighting games use. It seems especially hard to get my head around the gameplay of SFxT. I'm just not even going to try any more. It's just not fun.
I just wish Divekick had a bigger budget and they could put more effort in to some worthwhile single player content and good matchmaking. Gameplay wise Divekick is how a fighting game should be done. Easy enough to pick up and play and there's more than enough depth there as well, even if that depth isn't hidden behind layers upon layers of complexity.
This weekend made me excited about what's to come in the future.
So after searching a lot of local online shop I finally found used White Vita (it's not available new anymore). One question, my main PSN account is region 3 but I have PSN with various region on my PS3. So, if I downloaded region 1 Vita indie game with my PS3 region 1 account can I transfer it to my region 3 Vita?
finally managed to beatwho was giving me quite a bit of trouble before in P4G. is this game hard to platinum at all? ive heard its more time-consuming than difficult.Kunino-Sagiri
Hi GAF'ers,
New to the forum, so pardon the retread.
Recently got a Vita (life) for myself after the price cut and deals on offer, and very happy with it. Especially since subscribing to PS plus, got a 32GB memory card and already a struggle. Never thought I would buy a handheld as I got older, but the PS4 remote play while having a kid and things like the great screen and games were too tempting. Amazed by the power management, really goes a long way for what I use it for. Cross buy, cross play and cross save are awesome too. Wish cross buy was standard.
Already finished Virtues Last Reward, Urban Trials, Hotline Miami and Stealth Inc. Still to finish Lumines, Mortal Kombat, Wipeout, Gravity Rush, Motorstorm RC, Retro City Rampage, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Unit 13, Little Big Planet, Uncharted and SFvsTekken. Used to be good at fighters but only just got back into them with Injustice, my word I suck now, not like riding a bike.
Currently playing Persona 4 Golden, really enjoying it... very unique game. Its a real struggle to keep up with the catalog of games. I think I paid for about 5 games in total of that lot, all for dirt cheap except Persona 4 I think. With PS plus and y'know... life... going to be a mission to play all these games.
On top of that I really want to get Dragons Crown when it releases in EU and drops in price a bit. Also want to get Killzone Mercs, Tearaway, Helldivers and BigFest (free I think?). Also of course Hotline Miami 2, and maybe games like Limbo (too pricey for a short game atm), maybe guacamelee as heard good things. Basically with Vita and PS4 to come, I will be skint, but in a good way.
Are there any games I am missing out on maybe? I never had a PSP, and wanted to play GTA Chinatown Wars at the time but playing GTAV recently makes me think I will judge it too harshly. Should probably work through what I have anyway.
Cheers
It's tedious because there's one trophy where you have to trigger every single commentator line ("Enemy down!", "Yosuke beat four enemies!", etc).
I don't think so. Of those games, only VLR has been free for PS+.Do they ever cycle games back in to PS+? I'm looking at getting VLR, P4G, Sound Shapes and Resistance (I liked the PS3 versions and the demo was fun), I think those have been on PS+ in the past, just wondering if I should hold out hope that they will be again.
Just finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss in crushing. It was fun but a little frustrating. Now I only have to farm some weapon achievements and i'll get the platinum trophy
P4G is $25 on amazon right now.Just finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss in crushing. It was fun but a little frustrating. Now I only have to farm some weapon achievements and i'll get the platinum trophy
Hate the touch screen battles in crushing, because some lines weren't straight. I have a hard time in them, specially in Dante's battle. If I replay the game one day, i'm not going to play those damn chapters. Or i'll put them in Very Easy lol
At least they didn't killed the fun every five minutes as Tomb Raider. The QTE really make me like the games a lot less than it should (story was not that good, characters were crap, and there were too much collectibles).
I'll show you the platinum trophy soon. Now I have to hurry and buy Persona 4: Golden.
P4G is $25 on amazon right now.
The Vault case? i got that pre-owned from gamestop for $8, Reg price was $20. Its a good case but you wont be able to put anything in your vita. It fits very tight in there.35 Euros in Amazon Spain and Xtralife. I'm going to take a look at my local GameStop. I have some things to trade and may buy it for cheap. I'll go tomorrow after finishing university.
I'm using Amazon for a hardcase you recommended me a couple of days ago. But Amazon.es...

Played some really cool Vita games at Eurogamer. TearAway is looking and playing fantastically. It's so fun and the art is so beautiful. Makes me sad it isn't out for another couple of months.
Batman was pretty cool on Vita but seemed pretty simple. It looked great and played pretty well, but seemed to be lacking something that made it fun... Not sure how to describe it! I'll keep an eye on it though.
Also, great indie games. Olli Olli is ridiculously addictive and so much fun. Had to keep going back to the stand and playing more to try and beat the high score. Eventually managed to beat the dev's score which was pretty cool, haha.
Super Exploding Zoo is one of the weirdest games but it was pretty fun. Flinging animals at objects to make them explode is a cool mechanic. Seems the game has a fair way to go before release, but great first impression.
Then there was Velocity 2x which just looks SO beautiful. It plays great. Really impressed by some of the things going on there. Platforming is fantastic and really helps to break up the gameplay. Had some niggles about telepod flinging but they seem to know that needs work.
Also, the FuturLab guys are so cool - this was my weekend highlight
