This is coming from the TCA event and not much is known but seems to be a CW-seed (Digital) show

CW Seed has a new animated series coming called #Vixen (based on DC comics).

The CW Seed will be doing a #Vixen animated series in the world of #Flash & #Arrow. I want a #Vixen live-action series.

A CW Seed animated series featuring #Vixen is shepherded by Marc Guggenheim and will be ready by Fall.

Here's the promo art, they seem to be using the DC direct to dvd/Young Justice style

So this guarantees Amell/Gutin doing Flash/Arrow voices, right?

Because I just can't see either of them wanting someone else to do them. They seem way too invested in the roles.

And it looks like they're doing it in the Young Justice art style (or the Justice League War art style, I need to compare the two to be sure).

Still, I'm hyped.

I liked Vixen when she appeared in Justice League. I thought her powers were pretty unique. Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Vixen and possibly Titans all in the same universe. Good god DC is killing it.

I don't understand how (Arrow spoilers):
Oliver is suppose to be in this since he's dead. UNLESS, he's not actually dead? No... no... a comic book TV show would never do that.

It's the same korean company that animates YJ/Assault on Arkham/Most of their DVD stuff, it's going to look the same.

So, I'm not familiar with Vixen outside of Justice League Unlimited and I found her to be pretty boring in there (aside from a couple cool fights). Does she actually have anything to her? Because I'm expecting the same thing as JLU (minus love triangle) and it's not exactly a good expectation.

It is a flashback, set while he is on the island warped through time to the future. Simple as that.
Common joke in the Arrow thread about the 'revelations' Oliver always makes about his time on the island.

It's part of Oliver's five years missing from Starling City.

DIGGLE: Oliver, what happened to you in those five years?
OLIVER: I was on an Island. Then in HK. Oh, and then I travelled in time and hung out with a woman named Vixen who could harness the power of any animal.
DIGGLE: ...
OLIVER: Let me guess, Goddamnit, Oliver.
DIGGLE: No. I know Vixen. We play backgammon at the Rec centre every Friday.
OLIVER: ...

only a matter of time
It's too far away, though. Too long. We'll all be dead by then.

Uh huh. Backgammon. Yup.

Diggle did I ever tell you about the time I traveled to Africa and met a time-traveling Flash from the future?

So long as their schedules align and they ask, Amell is certain to do it, Gustin very likely, if you hear Amell tell stories about voicing his character for Lego Batman 3.

I like that we're seeing the holographic animal halo, it's such a great visual cue that isn't as easy to translate to live action, but looks great... you've got to love it when she does the elephant tackle to someone like Grundy or the donkey kick to Wonder Woman.

I'm really hoping this gets Vixen off the bench in the comics.

EDIT: Excuse the double post, I assumed someone posted when I was making this one.

Incidentally, assuming the Mystical Tantu Totem actually works, we're definitively opening the door to magic int he Arrow / Flash universe.

Additionally, if she's the main fantasy / magical female hero with our Batman and Superman analogs... does that make Vixen the Wonder Woman for this universe's Trinity?

If so, I'm completely on board because Vixen is a physical powerhouse (like Wonder Woman) without being arbitrarily powerful (like, say, Zantanna), her powers are different from The Flash, and she brings diversity.

I'm psyching myself up too much.

Exactly.

I think Supergirl may have already taken that spot.
