It worries me. Spielberg has always said that he would never make a movie where the aliens were the bad guy. I'm worried it'll turn out like Taken where the first 3/4ths of the movie they're mean aliens and at the end they just want a hug.

taken was so good for most of the run, too. i didn't see the last episode or two, though.

shouldn't there be a teaser for charlie and the chocolate factory soon?

belgurdo basically described the problem with Taken, as Spielberg kicked in during the last two hours and it became so sweet and sappy it gave you a toothache.

And even i am moderately surprised
"THEY ARE ALREADY HERE"...

They are remaking The Fog???? Geez.

Not only are they remaking it, but according to rumors they're putting it in a "contemporary urban setting" and replacing the leper ghost pirates with a hardcore inner city gang of ghosts!

Gah, you shouldn't take pirates OUT of anything. That's instant bad karma. All they had to do was remake the Ghost Pirates into Ghost Pirate Ninjas. Instant blockbuster.

wow, the hand design is like exactly the same as the original movie and the tv series.

Yeah, and I'm liking that. I actually miss the old TV show in a lot of ways.

Keep it that way. ;) Not only does the show start to circle the drain in the last half of it's run, but the last episode was probably the worst, most disappointing conclusion I could imagine.

I really hope that a release of that TV series is timed with the release of the movie. I even liked the second season, when it was retooled to be darker and Blade-Runner-ish.

Hmmm. The Alien hand...placement of earth makes it look like a persons spinal cord to the brain....hopefully we're not going to get 90 mins of boring Aliens hiding inside humans bullshit.

And Wilco...I hope your joking about The Fog....jesus fucking christ...I can see the casting now... Ashanti as the DJ..... with the lighthouse now a high-rise pirate radio station. :(

The ultimate bullshit is the rumours of the Halloween remake. JUST FUCKING WELL LEAVE ALONE HOLLYWOOD!

I echo this thought.

The artwork in the booklet is also amazing.

For the record, the teaser trailer will be online tomorrow morning. It'll be interesting to see if it shows anything substantial at all.

Yeah, here's hoping the teaser actually has something to it and not just a picture of earth with "They're already here," fading in underneath or some BS like that.
