And on the PS4 version, how do I get to the page that shows all the planes you can eventually get and research?
Thanks for all the help btw.
I don't have the PS4 version currently but on the PC it's the 'research' tab above your hangar/crews/planes.
Your current research plane will show as a progress bar and most everything else will be red meaning it's locked. If it's not red but has the blue marker it means you can research it then buy it.
Once you've researched a plane, it will automatically give you options to chose from at the end of the round you finished the research, and it will put any leftover points towards that new plane. You should never really be not researching something.
I am getting irritated with the way the camera works in the game.
It works really well with a mouse and keyboard. If the PS4 version has the option, try that, or try switching from mouse aim to controller/joystick in the options. It might suit a controller better.
I love the mouse aim and it's fantastically friendly for new players but I could see it causing some issues for controller users. On the PC, head movement and awareness is what separates the good players from the scrubs, so most people are constantly using freelook, even during maneuvers. Tunnel vision is a surefire way to get killed by a better player. I almost feel bad when I dive on someone that should have known I was there but didn't care to look. Almost.
Early tiers are pretty forgiving. The real individualism of the countries begins to show up in late 2, and all throughout the third tier. That's where the fun is.
