Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - Launch Trailer

What error are you getting?
Did you try to recheck the game's instalation?
I am getting error 0x8007001f, and apparently that means if you try to install something on an external drive, but my SSD drive is internal.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide's first content update, The Signal, brings the new mission Comms-Plex 154/2f, new weapons, and more to the game. Watch the trailer to see what to expect with The Signal content update.

Hopefully they can get all the issues sorted out for the Xbox release... which is when I was planning to jump in anyway. Although, I'm holding off until i see some updated reviews, regardless. Sounds like there's an awful lot to fix to make it worthwhile.

I already leveled out all 4 characters to 30.
It was fun, only because of the combat system. But the issues it has are plenty.
So I would recommend everyone to wait for many patches to have a properly good experience.
I'll probably reinstall it several months from now to make a proper playthrough.

Yeah, I really hope they add a solo mode like they had in Vermintide II. Sometimes the randos can be frustrating

There is also a stupid issue, that didn't exist in Vermintide 2.
Because they decided to include Ogryns, means there is a very big character on our team going around.
This means we constantly have a team mate blocking our view.
I once had a game with 3 ogryns in my team and I couldn't see anything for most of the match.

LOL, I have had that a couple times. "For fuck sakes GET OUT OF THE WAY!" Thankfully, I don't actually use a mic.

When I use my Ogryn, I purposefully stand to the side of doorways as to not block the view when melee. Other than that, prefer the stubber for range

160 hours in, feels like I'm done with this early access game. Lack of communication, addressing serious (balancing) issues, content patches and fixes are a big let down.
This is my first experience with Fatshark, as I haven't played any of the Vermintide games, but right now I don't feel like touching Darktide again and will refrain from buying a Fatshark product in the future.

Tbh Vermintide 1 & 2 obliterate Darktide from a content standpoint. There's unique bosses, more monsters and more modes. It do be feeling like that they released this one too early (cuz they did)

It is a low effort, greedy release. Little to no content, tons of MTX, poorly paced level design - felt like they didn't know what they were doing.

DARKTIDE isn't at all representative of the quality this studio can put out - which is why people have been so disappointed in this game. I like the WARHAMMER license but much prefer 40K to the fantasy stuff and was really looking forward to more of VT2 - just in the future.

. . .I still can't believe how badly they have botched this. GROUNDED showed that a well known developer can swallow their "ego" and release games into EA to make sure the final, finished product is as good as it can be. The narrative around this game would be so much different had DT done an EA for this.

Iv hung up my flak vest at the moment, done all maps on damnation and got all the character penances done outside of the "play 250 missions as X"

Its the perfect example of a live service game making me actively not want to play it. With Left 4 Dead 2 I would do the same campaigns again and again, but Darktide feels like it's manipulating me to play how it wants when it wants and its exhausting. Like I want to play certain missions at certain difficulties but I can't because it's all randomised, and when it is the correct combo half the time it's "LOL EXTRA DOG'S!" which is the most unfun thing ever.

I picked up tiny Tina's wonderland in the steam sale and moved over to that, while the gunplay or world is no where near as good, at least it feels like a complete game that respects my time, it's a real shame, was really looking forward to it. Playerbase has nose dived too.

According to Steam, I got 170 hours and I think I am done. Havent played in like a week and have no urge to for probably another year or so, once the game is more fleshed out.

Not complaining, got my money's worth.

The latest drop for Darktide offers new content, including new missions, a new enemy in the foul shape of the Chaos Spawn, a revamped earnable cosmetics shop, and Crossplay, which will be rolled out soon. Players can now play with others regardless of where they choose to play the game, Steam or Microsoft Windows Store.

Since there is no ot for this one, i wanted to ask, what i should put in the setting that ask me the number of working threads?

I have a 13600k.

Any other heavy setting to lower other than rtx and fog?

(I'm not gonna lower the ragdoll one if i can)

The game run surprisingly well for now.

I pretty much just max the worker threads (15 I think) as I use a 5800X3D, I read a while back use 1 thread lower than your CPU's thread count - tho some people don't really notice a difference either way. With Darktide as long as you ain't running high RT it generally runs well these days, I run low RTGI to get a bit more dynamic lighting and have no crashes at least. Disabling sharpness & depth of field can get you a few more frames for little visual hit.

Mine is set to 17 by default so -3 from the total (i think my cpu has 20 threads) and the game runs pretty well.

The lack of narrative in this is a real shame. Tried for a couple of hours, but it's too mindless for me as a big 40k lore fan.

Since there's no thread for a reason

Is hitting this month (who knows when) with part 2 in December. I'm sure the biggest amount of new content will be found in the MTX store.

Shit this game is just so much fun even if it is multyplayer only with strangers.

The gameplay just tick many boxes.

This is the right game to play after robocop if you still want first person meaty gunplay (and melee).

I tried vermintide 2 but it didn't hooked me like this one.
