Neither Inception or The Dark Knight Rises were released or a thing when Hardy was cast in Fury Road.

Inception was already in the bag when he was cast, even if it wasn't in theatres yet. You are right that he got Mad Max before TDKR though (both in 2010). I thought it was the other way around.

It's 2016 and they still won't live stream this shit? ffs

Not so long as people spend crazy amounts of money to go, then wait outside for days for the chance to get inside.

I hate their argument for this. It'll still be full, even if they'd livestream it. People don't go there for exclusive trailers, but to see the cast, cosplaying, buying exclusive stuff and etc.

Thank god I'm at work so I couldn't be able to watch it anyways. If I can't watch it I'm glad you guys can't too :)

Just came home, and is sitting in front of my computer now. So are we ready!?

Also what happened with The Killing Joke? I thought it was supposed to be the most anticipated Batman animation?

Is the ComingSoon live blog still at one comment for others stating the time the panel starts? I'm starting to wonder if it's broken for me.

Movie studios should really take inspiration from E3 and even stuff like Nintendo Direct, that's a great way to get fans pumped and it's not like it would actually affect attendance numbers. People would still want a chance to see these events live.

Internet is slow in here. Don't think I can post pictures. It's telling me 26 minutes to download the last 55% of imgur app.

You can post afterwards.

This is WB. They're in the video game business and one of the biggest publishers. They know.

I think the additional story with Batgirl they added to it made a lot of people mad. Not sure about the rest of the film but that seems to be the main problem. It might also be that people just dislike The Killing Joke story in general now that they've seen it.

It was but the Babs thing left a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths, on top of the average art quality.
I haven't seen it so I have no opinions.

Especially considering all this crap leaks anyway. Hell, if Comic-Con offered a BlizzCon-like virtual pass or something I'd absolutely pony up the cash. Pay $40-$60 and get access to watch high-quality live streams of all the panels.

A LOT of people would. There is so much money being left on the table with these cons.

Couldn't agree more and they could make a ton of cash off of it. I'd pay $50 to have live access to all panels

Yup. Missed revenue.

That makes too much sense, which is why it won't happen.

Major Hall H presentations are for the Comic Con crowd. Deal with it.

This is why we need Lex Luthor.

I have no issue with them forgoing conference live-streaming, but all of the comic-con trailers (and clips of the cast talks) should be made public after these conferences. Why spend what must be several hundred thousand dollars setting up a SDCC presentation for a roomful of people? A couple thousand nerds aren't going to grassroot market a $150M film to financial success.
