Was I the only one who enjoyed Resistance 2 when it was released?

I didn't get around to finishing the campaign because Fallout 3 and LBP came out, and snatched up my life, but I did enjoy it and really liked multiplayer for the few weeks it had my attention.

Resistance 2 was fucking amazing, one of my favorite games ever, I'm 100% with you in that. You're alone regarding your Resistance 3 hate though, that shit was equally amazing if not even better.

Resistance 2 was okay. I really couldn't care more about it. But I like the alternate history.

MP was actually pretty fun, but it got old quick.

Oh and the Co-op was so so so so damn fun, I remember playing it from the day the game came out until the day the servers died

From reading the thread, it seems that the co-op is well loved. I am in the same boat as well. I bought Resistance 2 purely for the co-op and played the fuck out of it. Wish there were more missions. Sold off the game even before I played the campaign or competitive.

I didn't get it when it released (only much much later)

But no. I had fun with it (or at least I remember having fun, it's been years). Hated the lack of a co-op campaign compared to the first but absolutely loved the multiplayer parts of the game, especially the big battles. The chimera rifle with the small turret was great

Yes?

Resistance was always Sony's try hard Halo type game. It really has added nothing to the hubris and texture of videogame history.

Because every single game in existence except for the Resistance series clearly fits into that category, right?

Stop trying so hard

Beat both local co-op with a friend.

Didn't finish 2 solo even and didn't like the local co-op in 2. Absurd to go back from the previous health and weapon wheel to me.

Thought the game had so many cool moments when it first came out. Went back to it a couple years ago and some things hold up but others were definitely not as great as I remembered them.

I love the MP, thought it was great. First and maybe only PS3 game I played with 64 player matches and ran great.

I recall the very large town/lumber yard map. It may not look good today, but I remember it being gorgeous back then. Still my favorite map from the game, so many memories.

While the removal of the weapon wheel was disheartening, the overall campaign was much better than the first game. I think third is the best, but I really enjoyed Resistance 2. I think the first is the weakest of the trilogy.

Did anyone else kill enemies/bosses in MP by shooting through the very tiny gaps in walls/fences/the environment?
