I think how typical this kind of experience is depends on the club, the girl, etc.

I'll never understand what goes through a guy's mind as they spend $150 for a handjob. I give myself handjobs for free all the time. Think about how many games you could get on Steam for $150. Gonna throw that away for a lame-ass handjob.

I don't get it, personally, but I find most strip clubs pretty awful in general...context matters to me, and most strippers are terrible at feigning interest in anything besides your wallet. It's just not sexy.
Once many years ago when my lady was out of town, I went to a club where one girl immediately saw my mario tattoos and wanted to talk games with me. Her favorite was the N64. She wasn't bad looking, though I like my girls a bit thicker. Everytime she got called to the stage she seemed irritated because she wasn't done talking about games with me. She would go, do her set, and come right back to my table and keep chatting. I spent nothing for several hours, got to talk about video games and gaze at the boobs of whomever was on stage. At the end of the night, I bought a dance from her for forty bucks because I felt a little bad that she wasn't making the rounds or making money. I don't remember if it was any good, but it was a pretty decent experience.
