Watch Playstation's E3 conference in movie theaters

In case any of you are nervous and getting butterflies in your stomach about heading out to this event, I just wanted to share some words of encouragement.

Remember that you're a good, smart, likable person. You deserve to be in that theater just as much as anyone else, don't be intimidated by the large crowd. You might even make some new friends before the night is through. These are all folks with similar interests to you so there's a common bond there.

If worst comes to worst and the anxiety overtakes you just know that you can leave that theater at absolutely any moment you please and no one will think worse of you for it. None of us are emotionless robots, we're humans and at times we panic, that doesn't make you any less of a man or woman.

Be mindful about what you're there for, it's a night of fun and learning about new Sony games, nothing to be nervous about. Just enjoy yourself and everything will be fine.

And who knows, maybe years down the line you'll be able to tell your grandchildren you were there when they announced the PS4 version of The Last Guardian. Of course, they'll stare back at you with a quizzical look considering the PS9 is already out and The Last Guardian has yet to be released, but still.

lol wth. When I started reading that, I thought it was about the wait list and that you knew something about it. That's all I'm nervous about. Don't care how anybody reacts to me. =p

And he has teased the fly 3 times. Dinosaurs and flies. Hmmm

Should there be a standing position not to spoil the press conference from GAF'ers? Not that many people know about Project Beast. Or the rumored give outs at the end (Battlefield Beta, TLoU lol).

Don't talk during trailers. Come on...

Can't think of more stuff...

It's not going to matter, that shit's going to get talked about anyways. We're going to be waiting in line for a while, it's gonna come up.

If a trailer/teaser comes up that leaves people shook, expect lots of cheering and shouting :p

I'm going in expecting people to probably be talking (quietly probably) throughout the thing and reacting loudly to sometimes random things. For me at least it'll be more about the experience of just watching an E3 show with a bunch of people who probably are similarly enthusiastic about gaming as I am. I'll always be able to actually pay close attention to the details of the trailers/reveals when I get home through the direct feed footage, which I typically end up looking at anyways.

So houston people what's the plan? From my understanding it's meet slightly beforehand to sit together, then after the show it's an Ihop run.
Don't know how the beforehand thing might happen but for sure IHOP. That's a guarantee. Don't know about the Geoff Keighley 30 minutes thing though. We'll figure that out by how cool it is. Hopefully, regardless, everyone stays at IHOP for more than 30 minutes anyway so that doesn't matter.

Think I sent all of Houston GAF PM's. But I had to do it twice sometimes. IHOP afterwards. No matter what.

I don't need no advice on how to handle my crippling social anxiety. I limp through it just fine, thank you.

Getting more excited by the hour.

No way Sony would have done this theater thing if they had nothing exciting to show. I believe this is the year of The Last Guardian reveal. It just make sense. Combined with Uncharted 4 and project Beast.
I think it'll be just like last year in terms of content...not much new games. Usually we get leaks, there has been virtually nothing. I think next year is when we will see both companies kick things into high gear.

We didn't get leaks for Order 1886, Helldiver, Rime, Rapture, SotB. ( the only reason we found out about them was trademark listings)

What we got leaks for, was Morpheus.

Is being on the waiting list the same as having a ticket?

Sorta. It means that you can go, and line up, and when they start letting people in 15 minutes before hand, people with tickets are guaranteed a spot, and then by order of arrival, wait-listers get in next. If you have a ticket and you're late, you're out of luck.

I'm really debating whether or not to drive down to the Boston one. I'm on the waitlist, and I have to work until 6... Earliest I could show up would be 7pm, if traffic isn't awful. No guarantee I'd have any chance of getting in.

I wanted to try and use this as an opportunity to finally see Xmen. I'm on the east coast and the movie starts at 5:30 so I would be out at about 7:45. Does anyone think that might be a problem if I do that time wise or should I plan on standing in line for a couple hours beforehand and see an earlier show?

If you have a ticket I don't see why it would be a problem. You're guaranteed a seat.

No way I'm standing in line a couple of hours to see a Sony press conference I can see at home for free, gifts or not. I'll get there maybe an hour early, just to see what the line looks like. If I were you, I'd go see your movie.

Edit: Assuming you actually have a ticket and not on the waiting list.

I guess I was more worried about line shenanigans and getting good seats. I would think being there a half hour early to stand in line wouldn't be bad. Plus I can get a free drink refill. Yea I got a ticket, Jax.

I'm in Jacksonville and I'm on the Wait List so I will be getting there way early. Probably 7 or 7:30.

I wouldn't worry that much about seats -- it's not a movie, so who really cares? Moreover though, since everyone else is guaranteed a seat I doubt they'll bother to show up more than an hour early.

I said it before, and I'll say it again: if you want a good seat, you better get your butt to the theater early. Call me crazy if you want, but I'm gonna be there hours in advance. Yes, I know that doors don't technically open 'til 30 mins before the show starts, but that doesn't mean that there won't be a huge line of people waiting to get in, before the show starts. You folks planning to get a meal and drinks before the show starts, keep all of this in mind. Sure your entrance into the show is locked in, but if you want decent seats, and if you want to sit next to your buddies, you better be in line well in advance of doors opening. Otherwise, you will likely be sitting away from your buddies, and up close to the screen.

Oh man I hope you get in. My friends gonna meet up with me, if he ends up cancelling at the last minute I will PM you but i'm not sure how strict they are going to be with the whole ID and name thing on the email.

Now that i;m not actually worried about because I usually have to sit closer to the screen anyways. I have bad eye sight so i'm more comfortable closer to the screen. No worries then, Not sure I could wait in line for 2 hours anyways.

I'm sitting in the front rows, and preferably on an end seat. I imagine if there are Sony reps they will be standing in front of the screen so it will be the best place to sit. Plus usually people ignore the front seats so more choices will be open.

I'll be going to
2600 N Western Ave, Chicago, 60647

Something came up and my can't come . It says no transfer ? Can I bring my son or pass it to GAF ?

Any gaffer going to that particular one?
