Has it occurred to anyone that sony maybe on a media shutdown and they are telling studios to deny everything?

They seem to be making a big deal out of e3

So the tickets are free? And to top it off one of the screens it's showing at is a Cinema right in my apartment building in NYC. I could've just gone downstairs to watch it. Talk about a missed opportunity. I'm on vacation in Florida so I guess I'll just watch gameplay videos of what I'm interested in with my brother on my laptop. This is how I prefer to do E3 anyway. I think I can live without seeing a Sony bigwig awkwardly walk out on stage while hearing "WELCOME TO THE NEW AGE!"

I don't think we have any definitive info about if such transfers are possible, the website states no transfers but it might be alright if one of the ticket holders is there. The above email is about as much info as I have seen. Maybe email them?

In case any of you are nervous and getting butterflies in your stomach about heading out to this event, I just wanted to share some words of encouragement.

Remember that you're a good, smart, likable person. You deserve to be in that theater just as much as anyone else, don't be intimidated by the large crowd. You might even make some new friends before the night is through. These are all folks with similar interests to you so there's a common bond there.

If worst comes to worst and the anxiety overtakes you just know that you can leave that theater at absolutely any moment you please and no one will think worse of you for it. None of us are emotionless robots, we're humans and at times we panic, that doesn't make you any less of a man or woman.

Be mindful about what you're there for, it's a night of fun and learning about new Sony games, nothing to be nervous about. Just enjoy yourself and everything will be fine.

And who knows, maybe years down the line you'll be able to tell your grandchildren you were there when they announced the PS4 version of The Last Guardian. Of course, they'll stare back at you with a quizzical look considering the PS9 is already out and The Last Guardian has yet to be released, but still.

Ah I was feeling like this on this evening and second guessing going on monday but I shall presever, dont know of meeting the folks before hand...

Just says to bring the the confirmation email with you and a valid form of ID. So I presume they want you to print the email. Alternatively, I guess you could bring your phone and show them the email on it. ;p

Playstation Plus cards aren't unrealistic. It's low-cost to Sony, and of value to everyone there (unlike say a game that some people might already own).

I suspect that the "extra content" might be in 3D, though I'm not sure if that makes it more compelling to you or not. This will certainly be an opportunity to showcase Morpheus in a way that is better than just 2D video footage.

her ceremony is a 5 min bus right from the theater.

so the selfish idiot in me thinks that I can go the theater..get out around 7:30 (probably 7:45)...and get to the ceremony, which I'm sure will take longer than 90mins (college ceremony)...and I can still say I saw her get her diploma...and of course take pics outside.

edit- ok just realized there is an official thread with info. It's funny but if you search online for length of these conferences you won't find anything...yet here on GAF it's right there for you. so 90-120mins long.
