I like Ezra in Justice League, but even I have to admit he’s a crazy asshole. They should just recast him at this point. He’s not irreplaceable whatsoever. I also don’t agree with this “they/them/their” shit either. It just seems like more of an attention grabbing thing than it does an equal rights thing. At least to me.

WB have mishandled DC for years, because the WB executives aren't DC fans. They just see the franchise as a money machine, and a way to compete with Marvel. There's been no decent oversight of anything, including casting choices.

Ben didn't flake, he was beyond done with WB's terrible management. Disastrous meddling with Batman v Superman and catastrophic Justice League Whedon situation made him go "fuck this".
Guy was and still is a legit big Batman fan, and it's a shame he never got the chance with a solo movie. I think he did great with what was given and deserved better.

Eh. Affleck signed off on Snyder's murdery Batman bullshit and the complete misreading of TDKR, so not too sure how 'legit' a Batman fan he actually is. WB's meddling with BvS spoiled what was an already poor idea for a movie - because WB hired the wrong man to make it.
Ultimately, everything comes back to poor decision making on WB's part. Right from 2013 onwards.
