We're at the point where "m'lady" jokes, etc are played out and not funny

These jokes are the new banderas.gif. An outdated meme that has been played out so many times it's lost all meaning. The jokes peaked with the "Fedoras of OK Cupid" tumblr. It was funny at the time, over a year ago. These jokes have become stale and outdated.

Do people here honestly interact with people like the stereotypical fedora nerd on a regular basis? Personally I'm "lucky" to notice one guy a week wearing a fedora when I'm out and about. I have never once heard somebody say the words "m'lady" in real life. The guys who I've actually seen wearing fedoras don't look like they've actually spoken to a woman before in the first place, let alone harassing them on a daily basis. These jokes are making fun of people that barely exist in society. How are they funny or relevant?

Personally I'm tired of seeing unfunny idiocy like "he should have tipped his fedora" and "m'lady" in literally every single topic involving even the most mundane male/female interaction and I want to see it stop.

PS: Saying "Thirst", "The thirst is real" or any other stupid variant is equally as bad

You just realized now that literally every internet meme gets run into the ground within a couple weeks?

I don't find them funny, but enjoy the over saturation simply because I think the m'lady/fedora crowd needs to be shamed as much as possible.

I don't think I've ever heard someone say "m'lady." Fedoras are a pretty rare sight, too. It's a bizarre stereotype.

Don't be silly.

They were never funny.

I'm not too happy about memes used to insult people or make sweeping generalizations,,,

It's actually pretty funny that these are only recently starting to be used in GAF. This shit's been going around 4chan forever ago.

It's way better than people misusing the word "literally".

OP seems to be saltier than the food m'lady cooks for me. You should take some sodium pills, I got them for myself last summer after I started sweating a lot, which was mainly due to wearing a fedora through summer. This also made me very thirsty, as it was very humid, to the point of making me euphoric.

Yeah, that shit is terrible. I work right next to my university's CS department and haven't noticed any people wearing fedoras or acting like that.

The jokes won't go away as long as OT remains a place for people to vocalize their inability to engage with half the population.
